***R.i.p Diane and Tom***
"Here lie our beloved Thomas peters and his loving wife and mate Diane peters. they leave behind 3 loving children and lots of beautiful memories they were new here to our Greenland pack and we are sad to be gathering here today to lay them to their final resting place. With sadness and regret in our hearts, we will bow our heads and pray that the goddess sees them through to the promised land" The priest says. Before he turned the microphone over to the "hot Alpha Rowen" As I like to call him in my head. But today he doesn't look so hot if anything he looks sad. Dressed in an all-black suit that hugs every muscle in his broad shoulders arms and beefy legs. His soft curls looked as if he hadn't even bothered to run a comb let alone wash it. He was sporting a sexy bedhead look and his grey eyes looked like he`d been crying. But why? It's not like the peters were any good friends to the alpha for him to be so affected, "what's that about" Queen thought to herself as she looked over at Ellie and Ezra. Poor Ellie has just been zoned out since hearing the news about her dear parents that day. It's almost like her body's here but her mind is somewhere else half the time. Not much of an upgrade from when mom and dad were still here nagging her to put her book down and join us in reality for a meal or just conversations amongst family. Ezra however seems cold like he shut off his emotions. He hasn't cried since the first night. he stayed up crying all night. I couldn't sleep any either but it didn't help that my ware wolf hearing is so heightened since I've already connected with my wolf. I heard him the whole time weeping, but it wasn't my place to impose on his moment. Sometimes we need to cry, to get it all out you know?. and Mirna was restless she just kept pacing back and forth in my head saying "she has to make us stronger". But for what I don't know. She's getting annoying and she keeps mumbling about being strong I'm not sure how strong she needs me to be but I figure I'm strong enough for the three of us already right?. Ezra and Ellie were keeping her busy with all this worry it was just enough for Queen to distract herself from her feelings. Mourning the loss of her parents and never finding her one true mate .. Too bad it couldn't be "hot alpha" Queen blushes at the thought of her hot alpha. Oh! wait he was speaking she remembers waking up from her daydream into hot alpha she almost missed his speech.
"Greenland. he spoke."
"We are gathered here today to bury not one but two of our loyal Greenland pack members a Mr. Thomas Peters and Mrs. . Diane peters though they were only with our pack as Mr. Williams pointed out for a short period they proved to be a great asset to our clan, them and their surviving children Queen, Ezra, and young Ellie."
"We want to let it be known now should You, children ever need anything then you have to only reach out to your beta or alpha," He said with a bow and then took his leave for the next speaker. up next was some little old she-wolf, she had to be 99 years old still kicking a** but somehow she knew my parents. Somehow the more I learn about "Thomas and Diane" the more I learn they aren't the parents I thought they were growing up, with the more I find out it turns out I didn't even know "Thomas and Diane". "They were fun!" my parent's fun? I know right creepy Who would have called my mom Diane "fun"?. Apparently, everyone else thought so. Queen thinks to herself.
Soon after Mrs. Mildred was done speaking she asked if anyone else had anything to say when she made eye contact with some fella way in the back and told him "don't be shy now come on up and say a few things" and this gentleman in the back got up and pranced on over to the front stage. "Hi I'm Isacc," he said in a geeky voice.
" Hi, I'm Isacc. tom and I grew up together as best friends and when Thomas and I first met is was at my fifth moon day party and I was a rambunctious one I tell ya we got into so much trouble that day the two of us and did I mention I'm the son of a beta none the less."
*The crowd laughed and cheered* "He continues you know tom was my best friend and my best man at my wedding. He always gave the wisest advice. To my wife beta of the white rain pack and my brother titan alpha of the white moon pack. We were all such good friends growing up, I hated how he just up and relocated and switched and joined a new pack without so much as a goodbye. I'll forever miss you, Thomas. So long my friend" He said.
As Isacc put down the mike and retreated from the front stage podium beside the two boxes with whom held the two most important people to me. And now Mirna and I have two more people to take care of. don't worry mom, dad I won't let you down. I got them I got us.
"Today everything changes. you will see and you will be fine queen." her wolf reassured her.
"See what Mirna??" she asked.
"Just wait and see child wait and see you will blossom into a whole new "queen", Just wait and you shall see".*Mirna said in her knowing voice*
Later that evening Queen returned home from class and the house was quiet, more quiet than usual. You could have heard a pin drop from the top floor, Especially with Queen's wolf hearing being the only wolf of age left in the peters house now. She pulled off her sweaty grey hoodie tossing it over the coat rack. Threw down her bag on the leather green sofa and headed upstairs stopping in her tracks at the very top. Overhearing her brother's soft weeping from his closed bedroom door that read "keep out" in bold red letters. She rest a single hand on his door frame and whispered softly "I love you Ezra" before continuing down the hall to Ellie's bedroom. Listening in she could hear her light breathing as she turned the page of yet another book. "Same old EL" Queen thought to herself as she continued past Ellie's bedroom door. Pulling open the attic door she rushed up the stairs to her soft twin bed plopping down face first into her pink and white plush pillows. After trying to remain strong all day long for her siblings she couldn't possibly hold it in much longer. Being strong only goes so far when you are hurting deep down inside. Queen laid there softly sobbing into her pillow assuming no one could hear. but someone did hear it. Ellie sat in her room trying her hardest to remain focused on the story in front of her. But all of the crying going on around her was getting a bit hard to ignore. Pretty soon the words on the page started jumbling up on her and getting harder and harder to even pretend to read anymore. Finally, she hoped to her feet tossing the book over her shoulder and across the room. She slipped on her comfy black vans pulling her yellow sweater over her fiery red curls. Pulled open her window and hopped out of it onto the roof beneath her bedroom window. Ran past Ezra's window and climbed up onto the big oak tree leaning over her house. Made her way down the large tree trunk and took off into the forest surrounding her backyard. Running as fast as her skinny legs would take her. Branches and leaves crushing beneath her feet as she made her way to her favorite secret quiet place just below the waterfall. It was the flat rock Queen and she used to escape to as children every time their parents got into yet another loud debate. Dashing through the stream soaking through her low rise sneakers as she climbed up on her favorite rock and sat down looking into the moonlit stream. Pushing back the tears pooling her eyes. Clenching her legs to her chest, Ellie sat there gently sobbing into her knees.
