Chapter 39 - The Fists of Wrath

1739 Words
I swear, I have never been this happy before. Being able to do things I wanted to achieve, like simply showing my skin without feeling ashamed of my flaws, and having a supportive boyfriend who pushes me to be confident was something I never imagined that I would ever have. So, this is what it feels like to have someone who supports you... I never had a supporter before... Not even one. Just bashers, yes. Well, technically, it was always him who cheered for me even before I met him. He knew me first, and was silently rooting for me from afar and still, now that we’re together, he does not need to keep his silence anymore. Nor even hide his feelings for me. “There’s a boat we can rent here,” he said. Leaning my palms on the mat, I stretched my legs and glanced at his direction, beside me. “I wanted to go far the ocean... Can we rent it?” My eyes landed on the horizontal brines. The waves were not that wild, the wind was not even hot, just in between. It was mesmerizing to witness how the seawater touched the shore, then later leave... And always, it never forget to come back. “Of course, we can. I can rock it for us.” “You know how?” He nodded. A sly smile left his lips. “Of course, baby... Whenever I got here, maneuvering a boat is always on my list. So, yup. I can.” “Can I trust you with that?” I jokingly asked. Of course, I do trust him. Every day, I still can’t help but be surprised at things he can do... We were together for almost five months. Clearly, it’s not enough time to know everything about him from his head to toe in just a span of five months. There were still a lot of things that needs to uncover, and I am willing to discover those hidden talents he still has. “Baby...” It sounded like he was hurt of my question. “I wouldn’t be this confident if I didn’t master the art of boating. Of course, you can trust me in this. I will not let anything harm you, and us... Please remember that, love,” he seriously said and I almost giggled. Gosh... “I was just messing with you, Simeon. You’re taking it too seriously, baby.” Shrugging, I took the basket filled with food and grab the slice apple fruit there. Simeon was raised boy scout... He literally prepared everything before we could even plan on going in here without even me noticing it. And I appreciate all his effort. “I’ll just go and have someone ready the boat. Do you want to come with me or stay here?” Wetting my lower lip, I shook my head. “I’m fine here, love. You go and I’ll wait for you. Just don’t take too much time.” He chuckled and held my chin to direct me to face him. Then, he kissed my lips, nibbling my lower lip shortly before he pulled away. I almost hissed in protest but, I held myself. See? I was not a fan of public display of affection but I think today is an exemption. And or maybe... As long as he’s with me, I’ll keep on loving those things I used to hate. “I love you... Don’t entertain guys if anyone of them tried to talk to you, okay? Shout my name if you need me. I’ll attend to you immediately.” Giggling, I nodded. “I’ll shout your name and you’ll be here. How sharp your hearing is?” “Sharp enough to hear your screams from afar.” “Silly...” I commented. “Go, so we could rock the boat already. I’m feeling giddy thinking about it now.” For the last time, he kissed me again before he stood up. “Don’t entertain other guys...” he reminded again which made me rolled my eyes. “I won’t even dare, love,” I assured him. It was sort of irritating that he really thought that I would entertain guys here. Although I could feel some stares, I never even turned my head to any of them to get a glimpse, or even find the owner of those pair of eyes that was throwing itself to me to see how they look like. Also, it was kind of uncomfortable. But I know this would pass. It took him a lot of reminders before he left. Sighing, I sat straight as I took his shirt to cover my swimsuit. I let out a small smile when I smelled his scent before roaming my eyes around. From my position, I could see a couple not far from the shore, laughing as they play on the ocean. I almost see girls wearing a bikini, there were few who were still covered though. I ate an apple again. Regardless of the amount of people here, this is still a big risk for us to bravely show ourselves in public. I’m just hoping that no one will recognize me as Possenti, and with Simeon or else both of us will be put in most complicated situation. “Hey, gorgeous...” I suddenly stopped chewing the fruit when I heard a voice. Turning my head to the side, I saw a guy wearing nothing on top. My stare didn’t even last for two seconds as I immediately looked away and just fixed my attention onto the sea. “I really found you hot,” he continued. “Mind if I accompany you here? You seems alone and being alone is lonely.” Shaking my head, I shooed him away. “I’m with my boyfriend,” I simply uttered. “You’re lying,” he assumed. “I see no one here but only you. What kind of boyfriend do you have leaving this beautiful and looking so delicious girlfriend as you here? You must be lying, gorgeous.” I almost throw up at his choice of words. Delicious? Am I some kind of food in his eyes?! And god... I am not interested! Even without my boyfriend’s reminder to stay away from men here, I wouldn’t still entertain anyone. “Pervert...” I whispered but I made sure that it reached his ears. Also, he looked scary! And obviously, a pervert. Delicious?! Gosh... Simeon never even address me as delicious as I really find it disgusting and this guy... The audacity. Thick-faced! I literally jumped on my position when he suddenly sat beside me! If it was not because of my reflexes, he would have touch my arm as I felt his hand creeps in me as I left my seat! “Damn it...” I let out a cuss. “Stay away from me, you rascal!” My heart was beating too fast in fear. I searched the whole surroundings and not even one of them pays attention in our place. I felt disrespected because of this man. I never heard such thing until now. “Feisty, I like that. Hard to get...” He even smirked as if he enjoyed my reaction! “Damn you!” I gritted my teeth. I stepped back when he stood up, staring at me. My grip on my shirt tightened and I could feel the corners of my eyes warmed up! My god, baby... Where are you? “Don’t be afraid, pretty. You’ll probably enjoy what we’re going to do in a more private place...” His eyes wandered from my head to toe and that alone disgusts me. In broad daylight, he really has the audacity to harassed me. In front of these people who were all unaware of my situation, he was not afraid to commit a sin and that’s scary to think. I was in the verge of closing my eyes when he tried to reach for me but gladly, a hand stopped him. I took a step backward the moment I saw his familiar back, and was gripping the pervert’s man wrist tight. I could tell the pain in how the guy face crumpled and I didn’t even feel a bit pity. He deserved it. People like him deserves to experience pain. What Simeon’s doing right now is not even enough. For sure, this man would not only target me but, other women, too. “Back off, man,” I was amazed at how calm Simeon’s voice was. But the veins on his arms as he tightened his grip to the man’s wrist I thought it would break, was an evidence that he was holding himself back. He was trying to control himself. “F uck! Let go of me!” The pervert begged. His eyes were wide opened, forehead knotted in pain, and even his nose crumpled. But still, he gritted his teeth, showing no guilt of harassing me. “Simeon...” I held on his arms. I don’t have plans to stop him, but I also don’t want him to involved in a fight. “The next time you try to harass my girlfriend again, I swear, you will never see the light again.” “F uck you! Let go of my f ucking wrist, dumbass!” Simeon promptly let go of his wrist before attending to me. His face became soft as he stared at my eyes. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” Shaking my head, I glanced at the man behind him who was groaning in pain. “I’m okay, love. He just tried to touch me but—“ Before I could even finished my sentence, Simeon immediately turned his back from me and hastily held the guy’s shoulder to face him, before giving him a hard punch. “F uck you, man. I’m not letting anyone touch even the strands of her hair and you f ucking dare to touch her?!” he shouted angrily. He gave the man another punch which led him to subsided on the ground, holding his nose. I could feel other people’s gaze and I don’t give a damn about it. Slowly, I stepped forward to held Simeon’s arm. “Simeon, please... Stop... I’m okay,” I assured him. He turned around and hugs me, kissing my hair. “Let’s go, baby. The lake is better than here.”
