4. Contract

4. Felicity POV:

“I cannot wait to deny those old bastard, ohhh sister I have been waiting years for this opportunity and here is our chance” Poppy said over the phone.

We had to drive for about 10 minutes, and she couldn’t hold her opinions to herself she had to call me. We all took our own cars as we did not trust each other’s driving and would always criticise each other. As I pulled into the Palace driveway my sisters were already waiting for me. I went to grab the blood-soaked bag from my car, and we headed upstairs. I knew this Palace too well; we have been called many times to complete missions assigned by the Elders. This time it was different, it was my Uncle Marcel and Aunt Ophelia that wanted to see me. As I headed to the wolf office, I could smell them everywhere, to the extent that my head began to pound. I was behind my sisters and the last one to walk into the office. I did not say a word, I dropped the bag onto my uncle’s desk and demanded the reward.

He asked us to go to Oddity and kill  the vampire that he suggested was using wolfsbane to torture his wolves. I knew Christopher was going to come as well so I left him a note on his usual table letting him know that I was going to attended today’s meeting.  I took no interest in his business, but money was money. I would have dropped it earlier if it weren’t for the mutt that touched me last night. I needed a long shower after that and now he was sitting here, staring me up and down.

Seth POV:

“Reject her? How can my Alpha reject his Luna his mate?” I looked at Kilian and his face just dropped it was  as though he was in a coma with his eyes open.

“Alpha, can you hear me?” at that moment the doors swung open and four gorgeous women walked in, and he had a problem with me knocking? Each one of them, long legs and dressed impeccably, just like the food yesterday, each one perfect for each of my imaginative situations. Then I felt Alpha move his head and I saw his eyes go black.

I heard Bane growl and without turning around I knew who walked in. Felicity, or should I say Fury. The temperature of the room must have rose by 50 degrees by now. Either she was going to knock him out again if he approached her, he was going to take her right now in front of everyone on the desk or I would have to restrain him. She walked straight past us and I had to grab onto Kilian’s arms, he was tense, his biceps hard like cement, I had to get my claws out and slowly dig them into his arm. Thank Goodness Ophelia was holding his hand, calming him down. I knew why she was here as soon as I heard the pat pat pat of the blood droplets on the wooden floors. She had brought Alpha Marcel someone’s head, they really were assassins. I could feel Bane coming out, I couldn’t hold Kilian any longer, as Felicity turned around Kilian shot up.

Kilian POV:

I smelled her again.

I smelled chocolate.

She was finally here; my heart was thumping.

Four women walked into the room and immediately I smelled Seth’s arousal. She walked in dressed in blue jeans and a white top covered in a green chequered shirt. She had her long black hair in a ponytail which flowed down to her shoulders. One thing that distracted me was the smell of blood which followed her, then I noticed, my precious little angel had someone’s head in a backpack. She dropped it on the table and turned around.

Get her you asshole, she will get away again and I swear to the Moon Goddess I will never speak to you again!

 I stood up and I immediately stopped her in her tracks, she looked at me with the same eyes. I raised my hand to cup her face, to pull her in, to have her in my arms, for her to be mine.

“Sorry did I not make myself clear last night, don’t touch me or you’re going to end up with a lot more than one swollen eye” she stepped back. I had to restrain myself, if she worked for the Elders, I would see her at the meeting. I moved out of her way; Bane was growling at me from the inside.

“Good doggy” she said walking past.

Felicity Pov

“What is with that wolf?” Poppy said with disgust in her voice, “And his Beta, yuck, he is wearing the same clothes as he was wearing yesterday”.

“What if you are his “mate” imagine that” Alexandra chuckled.

“Sisters please you know better than that, I’m here to shove the contract up the Elders ass. They think they can use us and spit us out. Let’s see them crave our attention after we are done with them” I couldn’t wait to see the High Elder beg for our help. The meeting would begin in 30  minutes, we went to the room and sat in our places. We have never attended the meeting in person, the Daughters would always be notified prior or after the meeting. We were the best kept secret in Elder history and even Mother was hesitant to send us but due to her ill health, we had to go.

As the room slowly filled, I noticed a few familiar faces many of which would be on my kill list since becoming the First Daughter, but the customer never paid enough to have them actually killed. That was when my headaches began again, more and more Alphas started to come in. The headaches would last for days after this, I was sure it was down to the smell. Ophelia sat next to me on the empty chair to my right. Christopher wasn’t here as he was not an Alpha yet. No one would talk to us, no one understood us, some even feared us. This gave me the power and encouragement I needed, for what I was about to say to the Elder later.

“Everyone welcome and please take a sit” The High Elder spoke in his dominant voice. “I wouldn’t usually call you at such short notice, but this matter requires the most respect and attention from everyone, no matter how big or small the pack is” he stopped, he was hesitant to say anything. “We have got the news from our consulate in Berlin that there is great danger to our world. They have found a coffin with the skeleton of a woman, in her womb they found Ouroboros” the whole room stood still.

“If I may Elder, the Ouroboros is a snake that eats its own tails. Scandinavian mythology, nothing to do with us. How is he or she a threat to our world?” one of the Alphas spoke, he was an older gentleman, who by the looks of it wasn’t too worried about the news.

“The Elders in Berlin were not worried about the corpse of Ouroboros but the power it had. The evil power transformed itself into a vampire”. The Elder stopped as to gather his thoughts, “For a while now the German Elders have been combating a rise in Vampires let by no other than Dracula himself. He resurfaced after 500 years and has been creating an army. He used dark magic to find the coffin of a virgin who died with the Ouroboros in her womb. He was attracted to its power and now he possesses that power. His plan is to destroy all those who chained him up”. The whole room erupted, everyone blaming each other, swearing, and shouting. “There is only one thing we can do. We need to train and be ready for him. I will need every pack to have at least 100 fighters ready by next full moon”. Everyone understood the severity of this situation even the older Alpha. “Everyone will be trained by the Daughters, the army that has defended our world since the time of Xavier, what do you say?” this was it, this is what I was waiting for!

“I accept the contract” my uncle stood, cutting his hand in the sign of agreement.

“I accept the contract” another Alpha said repeating the process.

This was repeated by everyone in the room, I was surprised as the witches and the warlocks did the same. The witches were the most cunning creatures, always looking out for themselves. The Daughters were the protection and the witches were the power. I was the last one to speak.

“I deny the contract” I said proudly, all eyes staring at me. I have never been more turned on, the power that this gave me. The power to deny an Elder of what he wanted, what he needed the most.

“What did you just say?” the High Elder said through his teeth. As I stood up, I was followed by my sisters. I wasn’t scared and approached him, he disgusted me.

“I. Deny. The. Contract”. I went back to my seat.

“Daughters are under oath to serve the Elders” The High Elder barked.

“That is incorrect, we are under oath to protect your sorry ass and this whole shithole as long as you supply us with the food and supplies needed in order to keep training future Daughters. We kill and s*******r anyone you ask, we train, and we give up the choice to have children. We keep this palace the way it is, to protect you whilst you sit and serve caviar. Where is the food and the money that is so needed?”. I wanted to slit his throat there and then.

“You don’t need it, I saw the cars you pulled up in, you have multiple businesses and the land you live on provides you everything you need” the High Elder must have forgotten who he was talking to.

“Then you don’t need us, look at all the packs you control.  You just expected us to train over 2000 people for nothing in return? You will not receive our help unless you make another Oath” Aunt Ophelia held my hand.

“Swear an oath that this is the last time the Daughters will help you, the last time we provide help. You will pay reparations for the years of servitude and pay upfront for the next three weeks of work. Or are you forgetting that it was the Elders who built his prison. Why should we care, the Daughters haven’t done s**t to piss Dracula off”. I stared at him; I could feel my pupils getting bigger with each second. I knew the High Elder felt small and he had to admit it.

“I swear the Oath” Elder replied.

Kilian POV:

What was Felicity thinking, the High Elder has the power of over 20 packs, witches, warlocks, elves and even some vampires. I would lie if I said she wasn’t turning me on by being so demanding. I saw the smirk on her face the whole meeting I couldn’t keep my eyes of her, a few strands of her hair fell on her face and I wanted to do nothing more than to walk over and push them behind her ear.

“I swear the Oath” Elder spoke out.

“This means one thing” I stood up, hoping she would look at me, instead the room did, and she was the last one.

“We need room to train, we have to have over 2000 people ready if not more. I run the biggest pack, I have the most land and accommodation, if any pack wants to train their soldiers, they can send them to Marble. Daughters it would make sense for you to stay at Marble, that way you can keep an eye on any extra training” I wanted to keep Felicity close to myself. Away from the Elders, if she was at least on my property, I could keep a close eye on her, I would not reject her.

She looked at her sisters and then back at me and nodded.

“We accept your offer Alpha Kilian Castor”.

I heard Bane purring in my chest, finally something we agreed on. Hearing her say my full name filled me with excitement.  I stayed after the meeting to talk to Felicity, Seth was one of the first to leave. Probably chasing an Omega from last night.

“Don’t do anything stupid” he said before leaving.

It was only Ophelia and Felicity left in the room. The High Elder left in a massive huff after everyone signed the contract.

“Alpha Kilian” Luna Ophelia broke my train of thought. “It was a very honourable thing you did back there. Inviting everyone to send their soldiers” I bowed my head in respect, I was still in her bad books after our previous conversation.

“I would hate to see that head separate from that body, don’t do anything stupid” she tapped my shoulder before leaving. I was left in the room with Felicity. God, she smelled so good, I was getting hungry and her smell wasn’t helping, but I was hungry for her. I could feel my trousers getting tighter around my waist, if she were a wolf, she could smell my arousal.
