The morning came with worries for Cara. She didn't have too much sleep throughout the night and here she was, eyes wide open. She turned to her side facing the door, her blanket still covering her body on the bed. In all her years of living, she hadn't experienced these kinds of problems. It had been quite peaceful, safe for the little squabbles here and there within the four packs. But it has never gotten to this extent where they preparing for a war that might happen, coupled with the fact that hunters were in town gunning for their heads.
Cara had her own issues troubling her along with the others. The issue of the rogues and what they said to her. Not that she had thought about it before but now that some other wolves were pointing out things, things that she hadn't thought of questioning before, now she has found herself trying to make sense of it all.
She felt groggy and it was against her best interest at the moment, threw off the covers from herself and sat up. She rubbed her eyes which appeared to be getting heavy with sleep as her body is desperately fighting to balance out her desire to escape her sleep. She forcefully stood up and headed into the bathroom.
She took up her toothbrush and toothpaste and began staring at herself in the mirror as she applied the paste. She thought she looked crazy staring at herself in the mirror, her hair was shabby and her eyes were swollen. She took a deep breath and rushed through her morning routine, not wanting to stare longer at herself in the mirror.
She pulled down the hem of her white crop top she just put on and then tucked her phone into her black pants before heading out in search of Craig. She knocked on his room door a few times and there was no reply. She turned the doorknob, opened the door and poked her head inside. It was empty which was surprising because he would have still been in bed by now. She shrugged it off, locked the door and headed off to the activity she had planned for the day. An activity that would probably offer her some answers, hopefully!

Laura dropped the glasses she was cleaning when she heard the bell at the bar door ringing. She threw the towel on her shoulder and headed out from the back to the bar. “Hey, what can I get you?" She asked on noticing the new customer sitting by the counter.
“Erm....let's go with whiskey” Drake replied flashing a smile at her.
She turned toward the drink stand, trying to hide her flushed cheeks. Embarrassed she was blushing from just the smile of this stranger. “Isn't it too early for a whiskey? Not that I'm complaining” She said, picking up a bottle of whiskey and a glass.
“Had a rough night” Drake replied
“Yeah I can relate” She placed the glass on the counter and poured him some. “You are new in town, aren't you?" She asked, pushing the drink closer to him.
“Is it that obvious?" He smiled a little embarrassed
“Maybe not to others but I can tell. Every townie comes here for a drink, especially after having a long day but this is the first time I am seeing you here" Laura explained
“Yeah you're right. Just moved here a couple of days ago”
“Oh, that's nice. And how are you liking it so far?"
“It's good. It just got better with me stepping in here" He smiled and took a sip from his drink.
“That's nice..." She stated unable to stop herself from smiling. “Anyway, I have some unfinished work at the back. I need to get back to it if you don't mind or if you don't want anything else" she added
“Oh that's okay. I was just about leaving anyways. I have some stuff to get back to..” He paused and gulped down all his drink at once. “I guess I'll be seeing you around” He smiled fishing out some money from his wallet.
“Oh don't worry. It's on the house. A new townie special" Laura smiled, picking up the glass.
“Oh that's generous of you. Thanks. I'm Drake by the way"
“I'm Laura" She replied
“I'll see you around Laura" He flashed her another smile before walking toward the door. Laura smiled sheepishly, watching him leave the bar before heading back to her duty.

“I'm surprised you still come here. I thought you would have given up on it by now” Alpha Michael said, looking around in the chapel as he sat next to Alpha Carter who seemed to be focused on the virgin Mary status on the wall in front of him.
“I find it peaceful. Where I come to think, to take a break from the noise and troubles the outside world has to offer” Alpha Carter replied
“Good of you. So why did you ask to meet here?" He asked
“I heard a rumour that I wanted to confirm. I must admit I didn't expect to hear such, well, not about you at least. You see, I found a member of my pack, an omega, killed and dumped in the river for us to find. At first I thought it was an accident but then imagine my surprise when I was paid a visit by Edward, telling me how you and your pack are responsible for it" He paused, waiting for the Alpha's reaction.
“Are you serious right now?! Tell me you didn't believe a word that weakling said" He barked
“I don't know what to believe right now Michael. We all know there's a blood feud on ground right now. So it can be anyone and for him to come into my house to tell me it was you, then he probably knows something or maybe he's trying to set you up but either way, I'm going to find out and when I do and I discover it wasn't an accident, I promise it's gonna be blood for blood" Alpha Carter concluded and without giving him the chance to talk or defend himself, he stood up and left Alpha Michael sitting there, brewing with anger.

Craig parked at the exact location the GPS brought him to by the side of the woods. He double checked to make sure that was the same location Cara and Laura visited the night before. He came down from the car, scanning the area around. He turned toward the woods by the right side of the road and carefully began searching for footprints until he came across four prints.
He began following the trail into the woods. Carefully retracing their steps and making sure not to lose it. He had covered quite a distance, a long distance until he came across the cabin. He smiled, feeling fulfilled and proud of himself. He walked, approaching the cabin.
He peeked in through the Windows, making sure no one was in to avoid any surprise attacks before walking in through the front door. Stepping into the cabin, the floorboard creaked. He looked around the sitting room and it was deserted. There was no trace of blood on the floor safe for muddy footprints. He proceeded to search the rest of the house and soon came out empty. There were no traces of blood in the rooms either which confirmed his suspicion that Cara wasn't telling the truth. Now he was left wondering why she lied or why she was covering for the rogues.

Cara sat patiently in one of the booths in the moonlight diner, waiting for Damon to arrive. Not knowing where to begin her search for answers, she felt she should start with a member of the towns founding families. She sipped from her coffee just before the door opened and Damon walked in. She waved him over smiling. The smile faded when she saw Kate walking behind him. Her brows furrowed as she was puzzled as to who that was.
“Hey!" Damon said, sitting directly opposite her and Kate sitting next to him. “What's up?"
“I'm...I'm good” Cara replied, her eyes fixated on Kate “Hi!" She said to Kate
“Oh sorry. Cara, this is Kate, a friend of mine from the city...”
“He means his Ex. You don't have to twist words" Kate cut in
“Yeahhh....and Kate this is Cara, my childhood friend"
“It's nice to meet you” Cara smiled at her as they both exchanged handshakes. “So how long have you two known each other?" Cara asked, sipping from her coffee awkwardly.
“We've known each other for quite a longtime. I think as he just got to city, he took a space in our apartment at the penthouse. He was trying to act like some sort of Mr bigshot" She teased
“You've got to be kidding me" Damon muttered, burying his face in embarrassment.
“I need to use the restroom. When I get back, we are trading stories" She said a bit excited as she stood up and left.
Cara watched her till she was out of earshot. “She seems nice" She stated, shifting her gaze back to Damon.
“Yeah she is" Damon smiled “So why did you want to see me? It sounded urgent"
“Yeah. Something has been bothering me. It's about what happened the night I was taken. I need to find out something from you. So I'm gonna tell you everything that happened so you could get a better understanding of what's going on and maybe you could help" Cara explained
Damon glanced at the restroom door, anticipating that Kate wouldn't be out just yet. “Alright shoot" He said to her, adjusting on his seat and fixing his eyes on hers.

Maya watched her father rummaging through his office looking for God knows what. He seemed angry and whenever he got like that, he always ended up doing something terrible. “What is going on dad?" She asked, standing by the door with her arms crossed. “What exactly is going on? Why are you torturing those wolves? What's the endgame here?" She questioned, fed up of all the stringing along without knowing what is really going on.
“Dad!" She bellowed, finally gaining his attention as he stopped searching and turned to face her. “You said you want me in whatever you are doing, that you are training me to lead some day. Don't I deserve to know what's going on?" She questioned angrily
Alpha Micheal sniffled and leaned against his desk. “Fine! You wanna know? Well here it is. Lichen Pack are drawing battle lines with us. They want to go to war with us and war we will give to them" He blurted out
“And the wolves you've been torturing? What's the reason for that?" She asked
He sighed and crossed his arms. “There's a rumour that Alpha Carter has a prisoner. A true Alpha and he's keeping him locked in some hidden place...”
“Hold on....a true Alpha?" Maya cut in confused
“A true Alpha is an alpha who didn't steal his powers from another alpha. Unlike us Alphas, we had to take our power from other Alphas but a True Alpha is made an Alpha without having to take or steal it" He explained
“How is that even possible?" Maya asked still puzzled at the explanation
“I don't know. But the rumours said that when a true Alpha fully emerges and an Alpha kills him under a full moon, then the Alpha's power gets heightened. More like having the powers of two Alphas combined. So you see why I need to find the whereabouts of this alpha. With such powers, we have a chance against any pack and we can take whatever we want." Alpha Michael explained. Maya stood still, staring at him. Trying to wrap her head around what her father just said.
