It was exam period and it was strictly business. I had never had to study this hard for my examinations but I knew the importance. Not just to me but to my family as well.
I did not want to let them down as I did during my past exams. But mostly I was doing it for myself. I wanted to get into the college of my choice this year.
I was scared of being on a wait list or worst getting rejected. The worst thing that could happen to me was a gap year.
I became scared of gap years because of Lucas. He was an example of why a gap year is a bad idea.
I stayed extra hours in the library and used most of my free time studying. I was wishing that I did this earlier not now when I was supposed to be relaxing.
