PROLOGUE

1005 Words
When Mara was young, her mom told her that she'd grow up beautifully and have a strong relationship with men. That's why she put it on her mind. Like her mom, she will look like her mother as she grows up, because her mother was beautiful, slender, and had a gentle face. The tip of her nose, her pinkish cheeks, and her eyes were as bright as a star when smiling. But Mara didn’t get everything from her mother. She thinks she's beautiful, just like her mother, but she feels like she's still missing something because she can't get the heart of the man she loves. Mara feels like what her mother said was wrong because the man she loved has now fallen in love with someone else. And it wasn't her, because another woman had the flesh of his heart, and he clearly said that it would not happen that she would be the one to beat his heart. The pain was so great that he said it directly to her. He has told her that at some point, it will never happen that he will love her. Mara, who has fallen for the wrong man, does not expect it to have happened to her. “What are you thinking, Mara?" Liza asked her first while Mara was looking at herself in the mirror. She was thinking of what her boss had told her last night. Don't expect me to love you because it's not going to happen. In the first place, it never happens that I like you. You will only be the one that is pretending and thinking that I like you. But sorry, I don't like you. Don't expect me to even love you. Her boss's answer to her after Mara admitted her feelings for him: “I told you so." Her boss then told her his feelings for her were sincere. He doesn't love her. Her boss informed her that she was the one who expected more than she had, except for what they had. But their relationship is about the boss and employees only. “Don't tell me you're thinking about your arrogant boss again." Liza asked with a laugh as she and Mara both faced the mirror while their hairstylists were fixing their hair. “Aren't you loved?" Liza laughed again, as she asked. She shook her head in answer to Liza. “He warned me not to. He doesn't love me." Mara had a mad face while answering what Liza asked her. She sighed as Liza did too. “It's clear to you." She shook her head again. “No, Liza. I think he is lying." She told and insisted on Liza that her boss was lying to her. “But he already said, told you." Again, Liza insisted. “If he doesn't love you, why are you still insisting to yourself that he will love you? And why do you continue to insist on your feelings for him? Why don't you just date someone else? You're beautiful Mara, and most men are much better looking than your boss." Liza sighed for a long time as she suddenly frowned because of her stylist, inadvertently pulling hard on her fixation on her hair. While Mara's hair was quickly fixed by her stylist, her make-up was finished after being applied to her. Mara thought again about what Liza had said to her. Liza is right. Why does she insist that her boss will love her too? Why does she insist on keeping in mind that her boss loves her too, that they both feel the same despite their confessions, and why does she insist on keeping in mind that her boss loves her too? Mara sighed, and a deep sigh followed. She thinks again about all the things that Liza said and even what her boss said. He clearly said that she should stop insisting that they both feel the same way. Mara stood up after a few minutes of staring at herself in front of the mirror. Even before leaving, she took a good look at herself, how beautiful she was, and why her boss couldn’t make her like him. What is it about me that he can't find in me that he finds so attractive in his women? I think I'm better than they are, despite the beauty that I have that I know is far from others. Why can't he make me like him? Despite that, I thought we felt the same way. Why so? Why does he even have to hide or deny that he likes me too? I know he likes me too. He likes me because that’s how I feel and see. Mara was confused as her mind and thoughts floated back to what they had discussed with her boss. She can’t focus on the work she’s doing right now. Their photographers were already angry with her despite the wrong positions being pointed out and told her to follow. Her mind was really floating and very chaotic. “Mara, what is it? Can't you fix it? Why can't you follow my instructions?" Their event organizers shouted out to her, the one who gave the instructions, in addition to some of their comrades and crew during their photoshoot. “I'm sorry." Mara responded by being able to just apologize for all the wrongdoings. She is really struggling and can't focus on her work. But she tried to fix it, but again she was scolded when one of the directors came back, who often praised her for her good work in modeling, but this time he was scolded and noticed the mistakes Mara was making. They had a long day at work because of the mistakes Mara had made. Mara, who has been scolded many times for her mistakes, is driven by the unforgettable conversation she had with the man she loved. The boss, who will be seen again at the end of the all-day day-off, and the next day, they are will meet again.
