CHASING MR. PAUL

CHAPTER 1

Mara is in a hurry because her mom and dad are waiting at the bottom of their house. They plan to go to a mall to shop for some clothes for her to wear to her audition. Mara is applying as a model. She loves to model in front of the mirror whenever she is amazed by the dress that her mommy bought and gifted her. Mara is beautiful, just like her mother. Her mother is also a model, whom her father met at a modeling agency, which her dad also joined when he began modeling. Her dad is handsome, elegant, and tall, with narrowed eyes and a pointed nose. Mara's mom is slender and has a very good physique. That's why, with just one look from her daddy to her mommy, it immediately fascinated her daddy's heart.

Mara hurriedly got dressed and adjusted herself while looking at herself in the mirror.

Mara was sixteen years old.

Mara was also already in college.

Mara looked like a young woman, after all, but she was still treated like a baby at her age. Her parents still consider her a baby.

Mara grew up with her mom and dad.

Mara was also the only child, so that's how her parents took care of her and protected her. All her wishes and wants are also supported by her parents.

Mara's parents gave all they could to Mara because she was their only child.

After Mara was born, no siblings ever followed her. That's why she doesn't have any siblings after a year of her mom giving birth to her.

So many years have passed since Mara's birth. Jonathan and Elisa, her parents, were really lucky and blessed when she came into their lives. So her parents think Mara is a blessing that has come to them.

Mara's parents suffered for several years while waiting to have a child. It was not easy for them to have a child so that they could have children. They were so happy when Mara arrived.

Mara's parents discover her mother's illness after three years of giving birth to their first child, and the doctor says Mara is a God-given blessing. Because after Mara was born, both of her mother's ovaries were removed, and Elisa would never have a chance to have a child again.

So all they could give to Mara was given by her parents.

As parents, they gave everything to their only child, Mara, everything they could. They support Mara in everything she desires in life.

For their family, all they could do as Mara's parents was to make sure that they continued to love, care, and support each other, and everything else that Mara desired for their family, they would give.

Like today, at this moment, Mara will audition for a well-known fashion designer at a big event who is searching for models for the event. All of the clothes that will be used at the designated event were designed by a famous designer, the one who announced the auditions for their new models.

Mara heard her mom and dad while they were talking about auditioning with the well-known designer. She immediately responded and excitedly asked if she could participate and audition with an open heart, which her parents immediately agreed to.

Mara is very happy and excited about her upcoming audition.

Her parents will no longer participate and make an audition because the invitation to her parents for the said event came after Mara's heard her parents were planning to participate in the said event.

Because her parents are known in the field for their popularity as models, their skills as models, and their modeling skills and experience, Mara's parents are often invited to such events.

“Mom, I'm ready." She said this happily and very excitedly while she was wearing a simple dress, but she made sure she was beautiful in her parents' eyes.

Her parents were not just models. They are also often aired in TV commercials.

Her mom and dad have also been included in some movies. So that's how Mara admires her parents.

"Mom, is what I'm wearing okay?" She asked her mom again. But when she asked her mom, her dad answered her.

“No matter what you wear, baby, you're as beautiful as your mom." Mara's dad answered her with a smile, and he even put his hand on Mara's shoulder.

“Dad, even if you don't say it. I’m really beautiful because I inherited it from my mom. Not in you, dad." Mara's was her joking reply to her dad.

“Mara, now I know that you really inherited your mom, especially her attitude. She always pretended that she believed in herself that I was wrong. She doesn't believe it herself that she is the one who attracted me first after she saw me at first. Even though she was the one who looked at me first the first time. Her eyes were amazed when she saw me. I was a very handsome guy when she first saw me at the agency." Mara's dad joked with her mom with a smile that she and her mother just laughed at.

In response, her mother said, "Come on, let's go." And they laughed while her mom laughed after she said those things to her dad and her.

They left the house with her parents after she had responded to her dad's joke. Mara excitedly followed her parents while boarding their car. Mara was very happy while they were still boarded in the car and her dad was driving.

While Jonathan was driving his car, he was blabbering on. “Is it okay if we can't go to the mall first?" Jonathan asked, glancing at his daughter in the mirror. “Mara's clothes are okay. Let's go straight to the audition, and maybe we'll be late and not make it to the audition." Her dad stated to her mom that Mara was wearing a headset when he spoke again. “Mommy, what do you think? Am I right? Is it okay for Mara to wear her clothes to the audition?"

When her mommy turned around from behind, "All right, I think you're right, dad." Elisa answers her husband.

“Let's go straight to the audition. You're right, Mara's clothes are better. I think it would be okay if she used her clothes for the audition." Elisa answers her husband again.

“After Mara's audition, we'd rather go through the mall and celebrate. Let's eat some delicious food." Her mom, in response to what her dad said to her mom, while Mara was busy with her cellphone.

There were a lot of people when Paul came to the audition. At the audition, he was one of the evaluators, and his friend Ramil chose him and pledged to attend his event.

He would have been earlier when his father chattered to him about his passion.

To hang out with the things he loves.

He wants to enjoy his life as a single man until he decides to settle down and end it as such.

He has not agreed with his dad to marry the woman his dad wants for him and married the girl that his dad wanted.

He has no plans to get married yet.

So he preferred to head to the audition of one of the famous designers, owned by his friend Ramil.

Ramil is gay.

After going through so many trials in the previous years, his friend Ramil came out as gay to everyone after deciding to expose himself and show everyone that he was gay.

When they were young, Ramil loved to design clothes, especially women's clothes. Sometimes, Ramil also makes and designs his clothes.

“You also came at last. I thought you were going to reject me and you weren't going now." Ramil greeted him with flirtation and tenderness.

Ramil even kissed him.

“Ramil, stop it. Later, someone will see that you are kissing me." He said to his friend, who laughed.

“Ahh! You are so artful." Ramil joked with him.

“It doesn't seem like this often, but this is what I do to you," Ramil spoke artfully as he slapped his arm.

While Paul and his gay friend make fun of each other.

Paul sees someone in the distance.

From a short distance away, Paul saw someone unfamiliar to him.

"Why?" Ramil asked in astonishment.

"Nothing!" He replied to his friend.

"Nothing? But the distance you are looking at." Ramil commented and said to him

“Ohh, that looks good. The mother, who is with her daughter, is beautiful." Ramil jokingly said it again as he followed what he was looking at.

While he was laughing and joking with Ramil, a group of family unfamiliar to him caught his attention.

The three were happy while walking, holding their hands while walking.

A man who was not old and two women were with him, the two of them on either side of the pretty girl.
