Chapter 28: Man’s Best Friend“Let’s be crazy and have no rules!” Cody said.
“Hear! Hear!” Luna said. “I like that idea. Strip down, boys, so I can oil you up.” She laughed, as did Cody.
“I’m not a total prude,” Jace said, “but let’s be reasonable.”
“That sounded reasonable to me,” Hamilton said, then crouched and petted Rusty, who was loving it.
“Where can I help?” Luna said.
“I kind of want to get some honest portraits first,” Hamilton said while scratching behind Rusty’s ears. “But Jace looks a bit too neat. Unbutton his shirt, untuck one end of it—rough him up a little.”
“I get what you’re looking for,” Luna said, then turned her attention to Jace.
“Jace,” Hamilton said, “will Rusty stay by your side off the leash?”
“He should, as long as there’s not too big a distraction,” Jace
