Chapter 32: A Family SurpriseJace and Cody were up early the next morning, and after taking Rusty out they dressed in work clothes. Jace had brought some clothes and shoes from his old house, when they had picked up Rusty the night before.
“I’m glad you’re not wearing that loose tank top with the deep arm holes,” Jace said.
“I thought you loved that tank.”
“Too much so. It’s very distracting.”
“What time are your lessons today?”
“In the afternoon,” Jace said. “I’ve got time to get you started on a project first.”
“Great!” Cody said. “I’ve been anxious to do more to earn my keep around here.”
They left, and took Rusty with them. It didn’t take them long to get to the A-frame house, but they weren’t the first ones to arrive.
