What Now

I decided to eat supper back at my cottage again, I didn't really like being around everyone in the big house. They made me feel like I was imposing on their space, which I never wanted to do. I understand though, they have a freaking mansion and are strong powerful werewolves! Who I am I? A dumb human girl who thinks she is good enough to sit with the most powerful people of the pack?      I had asked Pru if she thought she could just send me some food an groceries to the cottage so I didn't have to attend the big supper that they hold every evening in the big mansion. She made sure to explain how Dean wasn't going to like it, but who was I to keep imposing despite him.     I don't know what I am going to do about the ceremony tonight. I don't know how to behave or what to say in front of a room full of werewolves! What the hell was Dean and his family thinking?      I decide to open up my laptop and work on my endless anatomy home work. It never stopped, there was always something new popping up to turn in by the end of the day. As I was marking the different arteries on my online assignment the door swings open so hard it hits the wall. My head jumps up along with the rest of my limbs as my eyes look up to catch an angry looking Dean.     He is wearing a black dress shirt with black jeans and leather boots. His hair is actually brushed neater than I have ever seen it and his stubble is actually shaved down. He sighs before slipping his hand through his hair and looking back at me, "Lets go out to eat."     I look at him shocked, "Did you not go eat with the others?"     He shakes his head with a cold expression, "You weren't there."     Did he really leave supper just because I didn't want to be there? I can't believe him right now! "I'm sorry Dean, I just had a lot of homework to catch up on an-"     I couldn't finish before he said, "We won't be gone long then, come on."     Before I can object he is already walking out the door and I hear a car start with him pressing the horn, telling me to hurry. The nerve of this man! I grab a sweater and slip my black combat boots on before looking in the mirror. I don't look bad, but I don't look like I am ready for a dinner date by an means. I run a brush through my long curls and hurry out the door.     I almost trip over myself from the shock of seeing a gorgeous black 2020 Chevrolet Camaro idling in front of my cottage, "Is this your car?!"         He smiled at my expression as I circle the vehicle in awe, "You like it?"     I nod enthusiastically, "I more than like it."     He laughs, "I'll have to get you one too then."     He opens the door and gives me his hand helping me into the low riding vehicle. It is truly is such a gorgeous vehicle, all leather interior with ambient lighting. I was too much of car girl, was he serious when he said he would actually get me one as well?     He gets in an starts the vehicle and before I know it we are at the gate being buzzed through. Silence swallows us in its deep swallow of awkward feelings and nervous gestures, only done by me of course. Dean acted like a mature gentleman, but I was a dumb girl that never went out on dinner dates.     But was this even a date? Maybe it is just two people going on an outing and getting food, yep that is what it is.         "So what does my date want to eat?"     f**k, there goes that idea.     "Wait a minute, does this mind linking thing, can you read my mind?"     He laughs out loud, I loved hearing his laugh; he didn't smile or laugh often, but when he did it was an extremely sexy and low laugh that radiated my every emotion.     "No I can't read your mind, but I can feel your aura. My wolf can at least."     Hm interesting, so maybe his wolf had felt my doubt of our outing in some way...     "You didn't answer my question though, are you picky about where we go?"         Oh that's right, he did ask me a question. I was so caught up in my thoughts of how this drive and outing goes that I am completely screwing up my dialogue.     "Uhm, I don't care Dean, just not Chinese food. Maybe Mexican?"     Yes, Mexican restaurants were much more comfortable and casual, even the fancy ones were still very casual and relaxed.     He nods his head, "I know of a couple places, I'll take us to one of my favorites."     Crap, I hope he doesn't mean a fancy place. I notice though that we are on the interstate almost in the city now. We had been driving for about thirty minutes and all I had seem was forest and a lake here and there.      Soon I see the gorgeous Seattle skyscrapers and the space needle in the distance, I barely went to Seattle before I moved in with the pack, but I guess time for another change. He made an exit off of the interstate and headed towards the bay side.      This city was beautiful, it really was. I had always found it a bit busy for my taste though, it being so late right now made it more bearable. I feel us slow down to a stop in front of a valet station, s**t a valet?     "Dean, I'm not dresses for a nice restaurant."     He frown before shaking his head at me, "You look beautiful Melanie, and I don't think the owner is going to complain about it."     I roll my eyes, "Well maybe not the owner, but if everyone else is dressed up an-"     Before I can finished he interrupts me, "Melanie, we have a private table, breathe an relax a little."     He gets out of the car and opens the passenger side door, giving me his hand to help me out of the bat-mobile. He hands the keys to the valet who bows his head and quickly enters the vehicle for parking.     The restaurant is nice, it had a cabana atmosphere, but very classy and chic. They have bright colored lanterns framing the entire buildings, an Latino beats can be heard but not too loud. The hostess is wearing all black with a red tie. She bows her head and gives Dean a weird smile.     "Please follow me Alpha, I'll show you your room."      Did she say room? We follow her all the way to the back of the building until we reach a tinted glass door. On our way she keeps sneaking the same weird looks, goggling over Dean and his every move. Although making sure to completely avert her gaze from mine.     She gestures us in before dismissing herself by saying, "Your server for this evening will be Anna. Have a great night." She doesn't look at me when she says anything, but who could blame her? Dean really did look like he fell straight from and Armani cover shot.     As I enter through the door I gasp at what is in front of me. We are on a cliff overlooking the whole Seattle water front! We were basically on the ocean, but overlooking it from above. The room was a glass-screened in balcony, with the option sliding the glass wall electronically for more of a balcony vibe. With the glass down it made it look like a private room overlooking the ocean.         "You like the view."     I realized that I was probably gawking and feel my face redden, "Sorry..yes, it is beautiful."     He smiles, "Good, I'll make a note of your rating."     I look at him strangely as he pull my seat out and gestures for my to have a seat, "My rating?"     He nods and take his sit across from mine, there are three small colored glass jars on the table with candles in sand lighting our table and creating almost a romantic aura.     "Well, I am the owner. I should probably keep track of how my guests view the space."     I am completely shocked! He owns this place! I can tell my face must of shown my surprise, but before he can say anything a petite brown headed, mousy faced girl walks in with a bottle of wine. She set down to glasses and pops the cork before filling both glasses half full.     She places the wine in a ice bucket before bowing to Dean, "Alpha."    She placed to menus on our table and walks out briskly without giving neither of us eye contact. Jeez, what was the deal with everybody.     As if he could understand my thought, more than likely because of our link he says, "It's my Alpha aura Melanie. I am able to control it, but even at its lowest I can still make the Omegas squirm. Its actually pretty annoying really."     I smile at him sheepishly, did he really just admit that being and Alpha was partially annoying?     Again, as if he knew what I was thinking, he met my gaze, "I am truly happy to be an Alpha, but sometimes it would be nice for everyone to treat me normal for once."      Then he stops and looks at me deeply, "Like you do."     I stop smiling and look at his serious expression, before I can speak the waitress returns asking for our orders, I order the carne asada platter and Dean chooses the steak fajita meal. For some reason I feel starved, like I could eat a whole cow.     "What time does the ceremony start?" I had almost forgotten, but in all honesty I wasn't looking forward to it.     Dean looked at his watch an shrugged, "Right now."     I gasp and look around me, ready to get up and bolt along with him, but he has no concern on his face whatsoever, "Well shouldn't we go? Why did you want to go out tonight of all nights Dean?!"     He smiles after the I say the last syllable in his name, "Goddess I love when you say my name."     I roll my eyes, did he call me Goddess...or what was that? Why does he have no little concern for being on time to his own ceremony!     "I can feel your panicking Melanie. Relax, if I was on time then they might actually worry. Everyone is still probably eating and being catered, the actual ceremony won't start til eight-thirty or even nine. These things can go on all night. That is why I chose to run away with you my love."     I giggle at what he is saying, "Dean, are you telling me that we just snuck away so you didn't have to attend your entire ceremony."     Ne nods nonchalantly before sipping on his wine which I had forgotten about and decide to do the same. The door opens and before I know it I have a steaming plate of delicious carne asada tacos an rice with beans.      The waitress bows her head and asks if everything look good, with our nods she smiles and turns back towards the tinted door, but before she could run away again I quickly speak up, "Excuse me, but could I actually get a bud light red beer please."     Her eyes widen a little out of surprise before she glances at Dean quickly and gives me a quick nod before running out again.      Dean gives me a curious look, "Ew, you drink red beer."     I smile at his disgusted expression he gives me, I can tell he is teasing, "I love it! It tastes so good though!"      He just chuckles and continues eating off his plate. The food really is delicious, the meat just melts in your mouth and the rice had so much spice and flavor that I thought I was in an authentic Mexican restaurant, they even had cilantro!      As we hastily work on our plates and sip on our drinks I realize that I can't eat another bite, I am stuffed. I ask for a to go bag and Dean finished his last fajita before wiping his face with the cloth napkin and setting it on his plate.     "Well, I guess it is time to officially become an Alpha."     Why doesn't he look excited?
