The helicopter flew high, and Rex stood inside, gazing out at the city. Luna and Clara sat closer to Rex, but they were sleeping after the terror of the night. Ghost flew the craft with quiet, steady hands. Rex felt the weight of Julian’s death—not the fear, but the huge, heavy weight of control. Kilo had killed Julian’s empire; Rex now had to be the one to rule the ashes. "Ghost," Rex said, "First things first. Where is Julian’s main cash?" "Hidden in shell companies, mostly," Ghost answered, "But his 'safe house' in the hills has the main server bank. It holds all the codes for his money and his contacts." "Take us there," Rex ordered. "We need to get the data before anyone else realizes Julian is gone." Julian was a giant. When a giant falls, everyone rushes to grab what they can.
