Chapter 23: Holding On
Shepherd POV I can't believe this happened. I should have been able to protect them both but I failed. Burbick is hurt really bad and he has lost alot of blood. Alicia has him sedated and she is trying to fix him but there looks to be alot of damage to his shoulder and I'm worried it may be too late. I do not blame anyone but myself for what happened to him. He did exactly what I told him to in the beginning of our mission and stayed right behind me the whole time but those damn Jawa things are fast and were able to catch up with us. He needs to survive so I can apologize to him for failing him and not protecting him. Burbick has proved himself to be true and kind and I feel horrible for the way I have acted towards him.
