ANDYXOLENE
I knew that the household was extremely startled but I was caught up in Christian. Could he have been the one I spotted at the club that evening? It seemed unlikely. The man from that night had glowing white eyes, whereas Christian's eyes were the most unique I'd ever encountered.
His irises were a blend of various colors, which seemed almost impossible. Yet, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd seen him somewhere before.
“Are you out of your mind?” Selena's words brought me back to reality and I glanced at the mess on the ground before apologizing. I went on my knees to pick up the broken shards.
This might be it. I might get fired.
Selena's voice thundered “I was against the Idea of bringing in rookies into this house. Now look, here we have one, an unstable indigent low class.”
I can't deny her words stung, but isn't that part of working life? Being reprimanded when you make a mistake?
I listened to her. “Such mistakes have never happened before” She was talking to Cassandra.
She turned to me “Go pack your bags and leave we don't accept such insolence and inaccuracy”
“And why would she leave? It was only a slight mistake” I heard Christians voice for the first time. It was so husky and deep that it made the hair on my skin rise. As Selena tried protesting he added. “Would you say you've never made a mistake before?”
“That's true. Stop all this noise and sit down,” Mr Goodwill said before burying his head into his paper again.
I was glad they made her shut up.
I didn't look up but I heard Christian walking up to me. I saw his black shiny leather shoes stopping in front of me. “Get on your feet”
I wanted to protest, but his voice had something to it, drawing me, and I got up immediately. I lowered my gaze dreading to look into those eyes.
Was I to stand there until ordered to leave or just apologize? Or thank him for putting Selena in her place?
“Look at me,” he ordered, and with the magnetism his voice contained, I looked up into those eyes that were beyond this world. “Have we met before? Because from the way you looked at me, you probably must have met me before”
I had never met someone like him. With jet raven black hair, flawless, healthy sheen skin, a strong jaw, and a domineering figure.
“Why were you surprised when you saw me?” He added.
I adopted lies. “I’m sorry sir, I must have mistaken you for a lost friend. Who died years ago”
Christian stared at me, his jaw clenching, he obviously didn't like my response. He looked disappointed, his eyes dimming.
I heard him say. “You lie”
I was about to defend myself, making up new stories, when I realized that his lips didn't move when he said those words. It was impossible because I heard him clearly. Did he just speak to me telepathically or I just didn't catch his mouth moving?
He turned around and left me there to sit beside his father. I quickly took the tray with the broken shards away.

It was late in the evening, and we had finished our work for the day. We were chatting when Becky brought up the time I dropped a tray just as Christian walked in.
“He called me a liar and his gaze was insulting” I said and Becky playfully glared at me.
“How dare you insult such eyes?” She asked, “I was asking myself why all the staff go haywire over this guy, but now I know. I think I'm in love too”
“Snap out of it” Scott laughed “By the way Andy, he never called you a liar, I was there”
I scrowled “He did. He said. ‘You lied’ What if I had a dead friend?”
“You don't princess. Calm down,” Scale joined, his eyes scanning mine. “But why did you panic when you saw him?”
There was no way I would answer that. I got up and bid everyone goodnight saying I was tired.
I made my way to the room Becky and I shared. It was dimly lit but comfortable. I took off my jacket, tied up my hair, and lay down.
As I looked around, the room began to grow darker, with the furniture and shadows on the wall impersonating strange creatures. Goosebumps pricked my skin, and a sense of fear settled in my mind. It felt like someone was watching me.
My phone rang on the bedside, and I saw it was Trance calling.
Even though when I hallucinate, I hear his voice, I am certain Trance won't kill me, despite the fact he sometimes hits me.
Scale insisted I end things with him after I showed up with bruises on my face one day, so I did. I didn't want to return to Trance, yet there was still something I felt for him.
I answered the call, and he replied. He was a sweet talker.
CHRISTIAN
I watched her boyfriend Trance call her through his mind and she picked up the phone. Talking sweetly and enjoying the conversation.
She barely knew that he was watching her from the shadows creating a dark aura around her.
It was a habit of his. He would make her long for him with charming words over the phone, then as she drifted off to sleep, he would make love to her physically, but she would think it was all a dream when she woke up.
He enjoyed torturing her and I waited for him to.
As she was slowly drifting off to sleep, I saw him walk towards her with a wry smile on his face. I wouldn't let him even breathe the same air she does.
I approached him immediately, appearing like a wave of light. I held him to the wall, my grip on his throat killing. I was willing to tear him apart when he transformed into a dark shadow and vanished out of the window with a gust of wind.
I walked up to her as she slept calmly, smiling as the cold wind brushed her skin. The light was restored. I hated this mission because it came as a result of being punished but looking at the beauty of darkness before me, I realized that perhaps I was the right one for it.
I placed a hand above her head and whispered. “Sweet dreams angel”
