However, when king Rehoboth got to the tenth contestant, he screamed; “Here is my wife!!” “I am honored, my king!” Eden said and bowed. The audience stood up in bewilderment, they clapped their hands and screamed for joy. The orchestra rolled in songs of celebration. “Decorum, please! Do you know why I chose this lady?” King Rehoboth said as she walked the chosen to the center of the inner chamber. “No, our king!!” the audience said. “Do you want to know?” King Rehoboth said. “Yes, our king!!” the audience said. “I won’t keep you all in suspense. Well, you see this lady. I haven’t seen her before. Besides, I haven’t seen any of the maidens either. What is your name, my heart?” King Rehoboth said. “Eden” Eden said shyly. “Eden is not the most beautiful here, she is not the richest here, but she is mannered!” King Rehoboth said and the audience clapped. “To all my maidens, you are beautiful and mannered. I would have loved to marry you all, but you know it is not possible. You may not be my Isla today, you may not be my Natalia today; but you will definitely become someone’s Isla and Natalia sooner or later. Thank you all for coming, fashionistas!” King Rehoboth said and paused. “You are welcome, king!” the maidens said unperturbed. “Alright, I will leave my Eden with you all and will be going to my bed chamber; make sure you treat her well,” King Rehoboth said. “We will, our king!” the audience said euphorically. “I shall be leaving now while Parker takes over!” King Rehoboth said. “A round of applause for the king as he saunters away!” Parker said. King Rehoboth sauntered out of the inner chamber in the company of two of his security guards. “Do we all like this lady standing beside me?” Parker said. “Yes, we do!” the audience said. “My queen, we want to hear from you…,” Parker said and handed over the microphone to Eden. “Good afternoon to you all!” Eden said. “Your majesty!!” the audience chorused. “Well, it’s grace that found me, me, the daughter of a nobody. To my counterparts, I am sorry to have displaced you all. You are all beautiful and I want you all to use this fall as a stepping stone to your becoming great. Thank you all for your understanding. I will draw the curtain here,” Eden said, and handed over the microphone back to Parker. “A round of applause for the queen!” Parker said and the audience clapped. “We will stop the event here. No need for words of exhortation; we are already exhorted, because the king and the queen's speeches are exhortatory enough. Ensure you all wait for your delicacy,” Parker said. He dropped the microphone and the orchestra displayed. “Mum, we are already late for the competition! It is 2:15 pm already!” Sadie said as she ran into the sitting room. “I voluntarily refused to wake you up. I have told you severally to stick to time. Well, I am dressed already. Go in now and dress, we still have about 15 minutes before the program starts,” Aubrey said as she gazed at Sadie’s face. “Alright, mum!” Sadie said and ran back to her room. She dressed up and walked to the sitting room. “I am set mum!” Sadie said. “Take my bag to the car and wait for me…,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum,” Sadie clutched the bag on the table and sauntered to the direction of the pithead. “Liam! Ethan!” Aubrey screamed as she stood up from the couch. Ethan could hear his name, he ran towards the sitting room. “I am here, mum,” Ethan said as he arrived at the sitting room. “Where are Davies and Liam?” Aubrey said. “I guess they are still asleep. Mum, you are already dressed up; where is sister Sadie?” Ethan said. “She is outside. We are set to go for the competition now. I want you guys to take care of the house before we arrive,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum; I wish sister Sadie the very best,” Ethan said. “Amen. We will come back on time to prepare the meal,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum. Goodbye!” Ethan said. “Goodbye, Ethan; take good care of your dad,” Aubrey said, and opened the door. Ethan sauntered towards Liam and Davies’ room. He knocked on the door twice and said, “Davies, Liam are you awake?” Davies was woken by Ethan’s voice. “Ethan, is that you?” Davies said. “Yes, Davies; open this door!” Ethan said. “Hold on, I am coming!” Davies said. He stood up from the bed and walked towards the pithead. He opened the door and said, “How are you, Ethan?” “I am fine, Davies,” Ethan said, and the twosome walked towards the couch. “Liam, wake up!” Ethan said as he sat down on the couch. Davies sat close to him. “Liam is very tired. Don't disturb him,” Davies said. “What work has the youngster done? Well, sister Sadie and mum are gone,” Ethan said. “Gone?” Davies said surprisingly. “Yeah, are you surprised? Today is the music competition!” Ethan said. “Oh, my God; I have forgotten. I wish big sis the best,” Davies said. “Amen!” Ethan said. “And what is the prayer for?” Liam said as he stood up from the bed. “You are awake? I thought Davies said you were tired,” Ethan said and glimpsed at Davies’ face. “Yeah, I am tired. Your voice just woke me up. What’s behind the discussions?” Liam said with curiosity. “Well, it’s sister Sadie's day, today,” Ethan said. “I beg your pardon,” Liam said. “Don’t be a coward, Liam. Today is the music contest,” Ethan said and grimaced. “Wow!!” Liam screamed. “Don’t tell me you’ve also forgotten so soon,” Ethan said. “I have many things to think about,” Liam said, and sat on one side of the bed. “And what are some of these things, if I may ask?” Ethan said. “Emilia and the rest,” Davies said, and Ethan laughed. “You two have to let go of your cowardice!” Liam said with a glare. “Well, we are not cowards as you thought,” Davies said. “I don’t have your time this hot afternoon. My own sister Sadie, I wish you will have luck; success in a grand style,” Liam said. “Amen, even if it is not a hearty wish,” Davies said, and Ethan laughed. “What do you mean, Davies?” Liam said as he gazed at Davies’ face. “Never mind, gentle man,” Davies said. “You have to be careful these days,” Liam said with a glare. “It’s alright, guys, don’t be on each other’s nerves. Let’s go and have fun in the sitting room,” Ethan said. “There we go, and I would have loved to watch the film,” Davies said. “Mum said we shouldn’t turn on the television for a week and I don’t want to disobey her. We all know she knows how to reprimand,” Liam said grimly. “Come on, Liam. Alright, we will watch the film for a short time; we won’t wait for mum and sister Sadie to come back from the competition before we turn off the television,” Ethan said. “No, we won’t. Besides, mum and big sis will come back around 5:00 pm. C'mon guys, we need to have some fun; the house is ours for now,” Davies said and Liam laughed. “It’s alright. Let’s go and have some fun!” Liam said. Davies, Liam and Ethan sauntered towards the entree, Davies opened the door and the threesome exited the room. When they reached the sitting room, Davies and Liam sat down on a couch, while Ethan walked towards the television. He turned it on alongside other electronics, took the remote and walked towards the couch. He sat down and increased the volume of the television. The threesome clustered around the television and had fun.
