Mother and child alighted from the vehicle. “Mum, you didn’t carry your bag from the car,” Sadie said as mother and child walked towards the building. “Oh, I forgot!” Aubrey said. “Let me get the bag for you, mum…,” Sadie said. She walked back to where the car was parked, she pulled the door, carried the bag from a seat and closed the door. She sauntered back in Aubrey’s direction. On the wall of the building was the inscription “Diamond Plaza.” The plaza had several shops, about 15 of them, with different inscriptions at the top regions of their pitheads. Some of these inscriptions were “Grocery Store”, “Medicine Store”, “Bar”, “Stationery Store”, “Bakery”, “Unisex Clothing Store”, “Art Studio”, “Cafeteria” and a host of others. Also, leftwards and rightwards of the plaza were bakeries, banks, salons and sundries. Diamond plaza was therefore located at a business stand. Aubrey and Sadie sauntered into the “Unisex Clothing Store.” They could see different kinds of clothing. This clothing occupied the whole shop so that everyone must definitely find the clothing needed. “Mum, see those clothes hanging over there!” Sadie said with a gesture. “Let’s move closer to the clothes,” Aubrey said. The twosome left their initial stagnant state and sauntered to where the clothes were hanging. “Mum, I haven’t seen any blue cloth,” Sadie said. “We will definitely see a blue shirt, just fix your gaze on the clothes hanging on the walls,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum,” Sadie said. “Mum, I can see blue shirts hanging over there!” Sadie said exuberantly with a gesture after about 4 minutes of gazing at the walls. “ Finally! After we've been gazing all this long,” Aubrey said. Aubrey and Sadie sauntered in the direction of the blue shirts. “It’s now your choice to decide on the blue shirt you want among all these,” Aubrey said as she gestured. “I think I will go with this; it must be my size,” Sadie said. “Come on! This is a navy blue. But you said the color code is a sky blue shirt with black trousers or skirt, as the case may be?” Aubrey said. “Yes, mum; I almost forgot. How about this?” Sadie said with a gesture. “I think this one is better. Remove it from the wall,” Aubrey said. Sadie removed the cloth from the wall and said, “Can I test this cloth to see whether it is my size?” “No, you can’t; this is a plaza and one is not allowed to put on any cloth before purchasing it,” Aubrey said. “Gosh!” “Well, I guess it is my size?” Sadie said. “Yes, it is; there is no doubt,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum. I need a black skirt now,” Sadie said. “Keep checking the clothes, we will definitely see one,” Aubrey said. “Alright…,” Sadie said. Aubrey and Sadie were turning their necks from one direction to another as they walked through the shop. However, Sadie finally saw black shirts hanging on the wall and close to skirts of other colors. “I have seen black skirts, mum!” Sadie said. “I am jealous of your sight organ; you easily see things. Get a black shirt while I stay here,” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum,” Sadie said, and walked in the direction of the black skirt. She was contemplating initially on which to choose, but she finally chose a black skirt. She clutched the cloth with her left hand and walked in Aubrey’s direction. “Here is the skirt, mum,” Sadie said, and gave the skirt to Aubrey. Aubrey collected the skirt and said, “You have made a good choice, and it’s obvious that this skirt must size you.” “Yes, mum; it will,” Sadie said with a broad smile. “Now, for our last reason for coming here, let’s get a pair of black shoes,” Aubrey said with a gesture. “There we go…, mum,” Sadie said. Aubrey and Sadie walked leftwards. They could clearly see some shelves with shoes. “Can I test this pair of shoes?” Sadie said, clutching a pair of black shoes. “I think you can; it is not prohibited here,” Aubrey said. Before Aubrey could finish her last words, Sadie was already wearing the pair of shoes. “The pair of shoes is my size!” she said euphorically. “And won’t you take off the pair of shoes again?” Aubrey said and Sadie laughed. “It’s already my pair of shoes, so if I like, I won't take them off again,” Sadie said as she gazed at Aubrey’s face. “Remember you have not paid for this pair of shoes,” Aubrey said, and fixed her gaze on Sadie to see Sadie's reaction. “My dad has already settled the expenses,” Sadie said. “I have always done that before,” Aubrey said. “I didn’t say you haven’t done that, mum,” Sadie said, and got off the pair of shoes. “Alright. We have to leave here now, these people are gazing at us too often,” Aubrey said. “I guess we have to, mum. Let’s settle the cashier first,” Sadie said. They sauntered in the direction of the cashier. Aubrey was clutching the blue shirt while Sadie was clutching the black skirt and the pair of shoes. “Good morning…, sorry, good afternoon, ma,” Aubrey said. The cashier smiled and said, “It's just a few minutes to midday; good morning, ma.” “I am so sorry. Here is what we bought,” Aubrey said with a gesture. “Alright. Please, place them on the table,” the cashier said. Aubrey and Sadie placed the pair of shoes, the skirt and the shirt on the table. The cashier carried them one after the other and input some digits into the calculator. “Your money is 48 USD!” she said. “Sadie, can you hear her?” Aubrey said. “Yes, mum! The money is right there in your bag,” Sadie said with a gesture. “Why didn’t you tell me before we arrived here?” Aubrey said as she opened a zip. “I am sorry, mum. It’s not that one, mum; open the mini zip,” Sadie said. Aubrey opened the mini zip, she removed the money and closed the zip back. “Sadie…, here is your money,” she said. “Thank you, mum,” Sadie said as she collected the money. She separated 48 USD from the whole money and handed the money to the cashier. Here is the money!” she said. “Thank you,” the cashier said. She removed a polythene bag and put the items inside the bag. “Here is what you bought, dear,” the cashier said as she stretched out her hand to Sadie. Sadie collected the bag and said, “ Mum, shall we go home now?” “Sure!” Aubrey said. “Thank you for your patronage! You are always welcome,” the cashier said. “Alright, ma,” Sadie said. Sadie and Aubrey sauntered towards the entree. Sadie opened the door and they exited the plaza. When they got out of the plaza, they walked to where the car was parked. They entered the car and Aubrey started the car. She acceded to a speed and drove the car away from the plaza vicinity.
