He quickly walked out of the sitting room. “Welcome, mum; welcome, sister Sadie,” Ethan said as soon as he opened the door. “Thank you. Please, come and carry my bag in,” Aubrey said with a gesture. “Alright, mum,” Ethan said. He carried the bag from the car and closed the door of the car. “Sister Sadie, how about what I asked you to buy for me?” Ethan said with curiosity as they walked to the entrance door. “I didn’t buy anything because we got no time; besides, you were not specific,” Sadie said and glimpsed at Ethan to see Ethan’s reaction. Ethan grimaced and said, “ Sister Sadie, it is unfair. I am sure you saw ice cream, yoghurt and others, yet, you didn’t buy any for me,” Ethan said. “Ethan, don’t mind Sadie. She has taught herself to be stingy,” Aubrey said, and opened the door. “That’s not true, mum,” Sadie said as they sauntered to the sitting room. “Look at these youngsters, they've been watching films since we left. Turn off that television,” Aubrey said with a gesture. “But…,” Ethan said. “Don’t but me!” Aubrey said and sat down on a couch. Sadie walked to her room holding the polythene bag with her left hand. “Welcome, mum,” Liam and Davies said. Ethan dropped Aubrey’s bag on the table and sat close to Aubrey on the couch. “Turn off the television now!” Aubrey said. “Alright, mum,” Liam said with a glare. He walked in the direction of the television and switched it off alongside other electronics. He walked back to his seat. “I think I have to stop you all from watching films from now onwards,” Aubrey said. “Why, mum?” Ethan said. “Because it is frivolous. The hours you spend watching films can be used to do things that will help your future. So, for a week, no film!” Aubrey said without turning to check the youngsters’ reactions. “A week?” Davies and Liam said with a glare. “I don’t see any frivolity in the watching of films, mum,” Davies said. “I have spoken. Get yourselves involved in something better,” Aubrey said. She stood up, clutched her bag and sauntered away. “I don't like what mum is doing,” Liam said. “Don’t mind her. I will talk to her,” Ethan said. “You better do it because I can’t stay in this house without watching films for a week,” Davies said. “Ethan, how about what sister Sadie said she would buy for us?” Liam said. “She didn’t buy anything for us and, as such, I am angry,” Ethan said. “She may have something for us; let’s go to her room,” Davies said. “Davies may be right; shall we?” Ethan said. “Sure!” Liam said. The trio sauntered away from the sitting room. When they were closer to the door to Sadie’s room, Ethan knocked on the door twice. “Sister Sadie, are you there?” Ethan said. “Yes! Come in,” Sadie said. Ethan opened the door, the threesome entered the room and walked towards Sadie, who was sitting on a couch. Liam sat on Sadie’s bed while Davies and Ethan sat close to Sadie on the couch. “Sister Sadie, it’s obvious that you want to start rehearsals,” Ethan said. “Yeah, Ethan. What do you want?” Sadie said. “Won’t you give us anything?” Ethan said as he scratched his head. “Alright…, I am sorry that I couldn’t buy anything for you guys from the plaza, but would you mind some money?” Sadie said. “No, we won’t mind!” Davies and Ethan said. “Alright. Liam, bring the bag on the bed,” Sadie said. Liam held the bag and handed it over to Sadie. “Thank you,” Sadie said as she collected the bag. She opened one of the zips of the bag and took out some bank notes. She removed 15 USD from the whole of the money and kept the rest in the bag. “This is 15 USD, share it among yourselves,” Sadie said, and handed the money to Davies. “I will definitely take the lion's share,” Davies said. Liam hit Davies' lap and said, “You must be kidding, Davies. I started all this. “Is that why you hit my lap?” Davies said with a glare. “It’s alright, guys. Share the money anyhow you want it shared. Liam, put my bag on the bed,” Sadie said as she stretched her bag towards Liam. Liam collected the bag and placed it on the bed. “You guys ought to thank sister Sadie first before deliberating on who carries the lion's share. Thanks, sister Sadie,” Liam said. “Thank you, big sis!” Davies and Ethan said. Sadie smiled and said, “You are welcome, youngsters. Since I have settled you all, will you go to your rooms now? I need to do some rehearsals.” “Alright, big sis. But before we go, mum said she wouldn’t allow us to watch films for a week. We need you to talk to her,” Davies said. “Yes, sister Sadie,” Liam and Ethan attested. “Alright, I will. You guys should go and have a nap first,” Sadie said and stood up. “Thank you, Sister Sadie!” the youngsters said. They walked towards the pithead and exited the room. Sadie carried her Libretto and piano. She placed the piano on the table and started her rehearsal.
