Are we not there?” Jeremy said and hit Louise’s head. “We are not there, but we are almost there,” Louise said, holding his head. “Dickson, be watchful of that bus,” Charles said. “Alright, boss,” Dickson said. After about 45 minutes, the car finally reached Government Reserved Area 3. There were different types of beautiful houses. “Just a little move...,” Louise said. The car was parked in the front of a fenceless mansion surrounded by ornamental crops. The gangsters dragged Louise out of the car. “Young men, what are you doing to professor Louise?” one caring neighbor, Brayden, said and moved closer to the gangsters. “And how does that concern you, soothsayer?” Dickson said and grimaced. “Are you mad? What has my neighbor done?” Brayden said. “You must be kind,” Jeremy said, and everyone laughed. “Do you know who I am in this country? Leave professor Louise alone now,” Brayden said. “Bravo!!” Dickson said and took out his g*n. “Please, go to your house, Mr. Brayden,” Louise said. “I am going nowhere, professor. Foolhardy, you think you can harass me with that weapon; don’t try anything stupid!” Brayden said boldly. “This man appears arrogant and obstinate. Dickson, finish him,” Charles said. “Alright, boss,” Dickson said and shot Brayden. He staggered backwards, grasped for breath, fell on the ground and died. “Oh, no!! Mr. Brayden!!” Louise screamed with tears on his face. “You better keep quiet, or I will finish you too,” Dickson said. Louise's screams and the sound of the g*n drew the attention of the Government Reserved Area inhabitants. Everyone trooped out of their houses. A great fight kicked off between the inhabitants and the gangsters. Unfortunately, the inhabitants had no weapons, so the gangsters wasted their lives. “Oh, no!! Mr. Waylon!! Mr. Nolan!! Mr. Colton!!” Louise screamed with tears in his face. “Fools; they think they can defeat the lions,” Dickson said, and everyone laughed. “Jeremy, Logan, two of you should go to these fools' houses and bring every valuable thing,” Charles said. “Okay, boss,” Jeremy and Logan said and walked away. “Hey!! Take us in now!!” Dickson said, and the trio sauntered to the sitting room. Louise took the gangsters to the master's room and showed them the hideout of the document. “The document is here,” Louise said with a shaky voice, and took out the document. “Good!!” Charles said and collected the document. “What next, boss?” Dickson said. “We need to eliminate him here,” Charles whispered into Dickson's ear. “Yeah, boss,” Dickson said. “Louise, do you recognize our faces?” Charles said. “No, sir; your faces are masked,” Louise said. “You lied!!” Charles said and shot Louise in the chest. Charles and Dickson took the document and ran out to meet the other gangsters. “Where are these guys?!” Charles said. “Let me go and check, boss; Jeremy!!” Dickson said and walked away. The gangsters carried all the valuables and domestic gadgets and walked to the car. “Good!! Put the gadgets in the boot and let’s go before something silly happens,” Charles said, and the gangsters disappeared into the thin air. “Mum, everywhere looks silent,” Olivia said as they walked to the house. “I noticed that too,” Adalyn said. When Adalyn and Olivia reached their house's frontage, they could see dead bodies of familiar people lying on the ground carelessly. Out of fear, the duo ran inside their house. “The gangsters are at it again!!” Adalyn said. “I am scared nowadays; everywhere is littered with corpses. What’s going on?” Olivia said with a teary voice. “My husband has not returned from the plaza for days. I am the saddest!! I hope my husband is safe? Who could these gangsters be?!” Adalyn said with tears on her face. “Mum, you just made me remember dad; my dad, where are you? I am missing you!!”’Olivia said with tears on her face. In the night, some smells were emanating from somewhere in the house. This smell brought the whole room to a bad state. “Can you perceive the smell?” Olivia said. “I thought I was the only one; I can perceive that too,” Adalyn said. “Did we use rodenticides?” Olivia said. “I didn’t do that; I think something has died in one of the rooms. Olivia, go and search your room while I search mine,” Adalyn said. “Alright, mum,” Olivia said. Since there was a power outage, Adalyn walked to her room with the aid of torchlight. Immediately she entered her room, the smell became intense. “Did something die here? Everywhere is smelling,” Adalyn muttered. Adalyn searched the whole room, but she couldn’t find the dead animal. She searched inside the book shelves, wardrobe and cabinets, yet, she couldn’t find the dead animal. “But, I can perceive the smell from this room; show your hideout...,” Adalyn thought. Adalyn lifted the bed and saw something that resembled a human's head; she used her torchlight to aid her view. “Oh, no!! Louise!!” Adalyn said and ran out of the room. “What’s it mum?!” Olivia said as she ran to the sitting room. “Your father is dead!!” Adalyn said. “Dead?!” Olivia said and fainted. Adalyn did all her possible best to resuscitate her daughter but all to no avail. A few minutes later, Olivia died. “Olivia!! Olivia!! Olivia!!” Adalyn said with sobs and ran to the king’s palace.
