They ushered him like a lost but found dog into their hideout, the uncompleted building. “i***t!! You think we need your money; we are not hungry men,” Dickson said. “He thought we resembled his hungry relatives,” Logan said, and everyone laughed. “Dickson!! Tie him down!!” Charles said. “Alright, boss,” Dickson said and sauntered away. Dickson walked in with ropes. He hijacked Louise and tied his hands and legs. Dickson also landed some blows on Louise’s face. “His face is too rigid; he almost wounded my hands,” Dickson said. “The pauper can’t afford a cream,” Jeremy said and everyone laughed. “Young man, we shall treat you well if only you cooperate with us,” Charles said. “Let him not cooperate, I will personally chide him,” Dickson said. “Louise, what’s your vocation? Are you an artisan?” Charles said. “No-No, sir,” Louise stammered. “Hey!! Why stammering? You had better do yourself good by talking fluently; understood?!” Dickson said. “Yes, sir,” Louise said with fright. “Good. What’s your vocation?” Charles said. “I am a librarian at a university,” Louise said. “A common librarian,” Charles said, the other gangsters laughed and Louise used his hands to cover his face in shame. “Don’t you have a better vacation?” Jeremy said. “Actually, I am the librarian, Head of the Department of Library and Information Science and a senior lecturer in Library and Information Science. I am professor Louise,” Louise said proudly. “Wow!! Don!!” Jeremy said and everyone laughed. “Academic, where do you work?” Charles said. “A university?” Louise said. “Save me the gibberish; are you daft?” Charles said. “No, sir,” Louise said. “Then tell me the name of where you work,” Charles said. “University of California, California, USA,” Louise said and everyone laughed. “Are you serious? You look like an elementary school teacher. Well, you are now coming around. How about professor MacPherson?” Charles said. “Professor MacPherson?” Louise said. “No!! Professor Madman. Hey, answer me!” Charles said. “I know only one professor, MacPherson,” Louise said. “Good. Where does he work?” Charles questioned. “He works in my former place of work?” Louise said. “A university?” Charles said. “Yeah, he was my inferior; an assistant library and information science lecturer. Stop calling him a professor, he is not,” Louise said. “Really?” Jeremy said. “Yes, sir. MacPherson only has a bachelor of science degree in library and information science. The professorship title is honorary because the vice Chancellor Likes him,” Louise said. “Do both of you have any unsettled dispute?” Charles said. “No, sir,” Louise said suspiciously. “Professor MacPherson wants you dead!!” Charles said. “Oh, my God! Don’t strangle me! What have I done?” Louise said with a teary voice. “Good question!! Professor MacPherson said you stole one unique document away from him,” Charles said. “No, I didn’t,” Louise said tearfully, and Dickson hit his legs. “Leave him for me, Dickson. Louise or what do you call yourself? What of the land document?” Charles said. “Land document? Oh! It belongs to me. MacPherson stole it instead,” Louise said. “Liar!!” Dickson said and pointed a g*n at Louise. “Please, don’t kill me,” Louise said with tears on his face. “Dickson, leave him alone. Now, Louise; tell me the truth,” Charles said. “It's a long story,” Louise said. “Make it concise,” Charles said. “Alright…, sir,” Louise said.
