My dragon was awake and struggled to come out. As I watched Emily enter the fire I struggled to control my dragon from emerging. It was hard as it was the first time that my dragon had gone against me. Finding a mate was significant for a dragon. The full potential of a dragon's powers would only be realized when a dragon met its mate. As such many dragons belonging to ‘The Core’ often had at least two wives. One would be chosen by the family for the benefits that, an alliance with the female dragon’s family would provide. And, the second one was often the mate of the male dragon.
