My attention was suddenly drawn to the window. Purple and red lights flashed. The lights however were unable to cause any harm to the window pane. It seemed as if there was a power vacuum which those lights were unable to cross.
"What is happening?” said a man. With an apron on he was perhaps the chef.
"I don't know", said Vern King.
I looked at the window and approached it. When I looked outside I saw two very young girls torturing someone. The younger of the two was enjoying more than the older one.
