The Antsy Omega
Omega Izuku was a normal boy but everyone thought he was a strange lad because he preferred studying and reading rather than going out with his friends to party and to find his suitable Alpha mate.
But that doesn’t mean he isn’t sociable. In fact, he knows everyone and everyone knows him. He’s usually the talk of the town when he’s around, despite him being one of the most gorgeous eligible omegas, he is also known to be very kind and generous.
Even though, Izuku shows no interest in looking for a mate, there is one particular alpha that wants to marry him and claim him as his own. Yet, this man’s confession and proposal doesn’t even affect him one bit at all.
Izuku’s suitor is a well-known man, who’s rich, gorgeous, fit, tall, and blonde but he IS all kinds of cocky, an airhead—basically a son of a bitc- No other than, Neito Monoma.
Another normal sunny day began, Izuku was walking to the local bookstore and library to borrow new books because he finished reading the Chronicles of All Might: One For All vs All For One.
He couldn’t believe that he was able to finish reading the book in just a week. He regrets finishing it so soon because he knew he wasn’t getting over the feelings he felt while reading the book any time soon. But sadly, he has to move on to a new.
While he was walking he felt familiar eyes stare at him, it was the townspeople. He can hear unmated and single omegas complaining on why Monoma wants to marry an omega like him? He isn’t even special! Said the random insecure ass omega.
He couldn’t help but to sigh. He can’t even comprehend on why Monoma thinks that he was the most suitable mate for him, when the townspeople find him odd than the other omegas? He just ignored those rude comments around him and hugged the book tight to his chest.
‘I’m going to miss you!’ He mentally said to the book and cried to himself. He opened it to read the last few pages again, where All Might won the battle between him and All For One but had to face the aftermath.
He remembers that those last few pages made him cry his eyeballs out all night that it made his mom rush into his room in the middle of the night, thinking that a devious Alpha broke up with Izuku and made him cry.
Izuku laughed softly to himself as he recalled his mom, panicking at the sight of him rolling on his bed, crying like a toddler that having a tantrum. He was about to close his book when suddenly someone took it from his hands.
“Ohh~ Another All Might book, again, I see? When are you going to stop being such a fanboy, Izu-kun?” A familiar voice said. He knew very well it was Monoma since that punk doesn’t give him his personal space when he’s in town.
Izuku gave him a small thin smile. “What can I say? I’m just hard headed that way.” He said as he tried to reach for the book.
“What? You want your book back?” Monoma teasingly said as he put his arm up with the book in his hand, not letting Izuku have the chance to get it from him.
“Yes. PLEASE.” Izuku said as he jumped with all his might to get his All Might book back. Unable to reach it, he felt weak and small.
Apparently, it was a known fact for omegas to be shorter, smaller, and less strong than alphas. Because of that Izuku couldn’t help but curse in his mind, ‘Stupid omega genes! So help me God, don’t let me lose patience or I’ll be kicking this guy where the sun doesn’t shine!’
Monoma leaned towards Izuku while still holding the book above them and said, “If you really want this book so bad, marry me. I can give you all the books you want in just a snap of my fingers.”
Izuku can’t help but to roll his eyes. He wasn’t having it today. He needs to get going or he’ll be late for his mother’s baking contest! He still has to catch a train ride.
“I’m not desperate, Monoma-san. So if you’ll excuse me, I must get going. I still have to attend my mother’s baking contest.” He said as he reached for the book successfully and this time he hugged it to his chest even tighter. “Thank you for your offer, Monoma-san. But I just don’t feel the same way.” Izuku said politely and walked again.
Monoma, persistent as he can be, walked beside the omega and clung one arm around his shoulder. “Well, I don’t think you mean that love. I think you’re just not ready but I’ll help you to be ready.” He whispered to Izuku’s ear.
Izuku felt disgusted. He pushed the man off of him and picked up his pace in walking but Monoma was still following him. “With all due respect, Monoma-san. Please leave me be. I have things to attend to.” Izuku stopped and faced the man. “I know you’ll find an omega who'll die just to be with you but I'll let you know in advance that it won't be me. I’ll get going now. Goodbye.” He said and bowed before turning and walking away once again.
He can hear people whispering around him as he walked to the library. He doesn't show it but he feels conscious whenever they have his eyes on him.
Is it because Izuku has the most wanted Alpha as a suitor on his knees and he just rejected him in front of everyone? He was just giving his heart a break. It's good enough that he moves on before things run in deeper.
He arrived in the library and got two new books to read. Izuku checked his watch to see if he was running late, and he really was so he rushed to get to the train station. Good thing trains were fast that he arrived just in time!
He saw his mom preparing her things on her space, when she was done her eyes searched for Izuku and she found him sitting on the second row of the seats. He saw her sigh as she smiled at him sweetly and gave him a small wave.
“Please welcome the Judges for this year’s Annual Baking Contest, King Masaru Bakugou, Queen Mitsuki Bakugou, and Prime Minister Touya Todoroki!” Everyone applauded as they saw the judges’ enter the stage. “Now, let us hear a few welcome words from King Masaru.”
“Hello and welcome, ladies and gentlemen to our 60th Annual Baking Contest. I am grateful for all of you who have made time to come and support the contestants this year. Let us all witness a messy yet fair fight. Good luck to all our contestants and thank for making this event happen this year.” Everyone applauded when King smiled after giving his speech and returning to his seat.
While the host was reciting the mechanics of the contest, Izuku was shifting in his sit because his back was stiff from not sleeping comfortably last night. He heard a ‘Tch.’ Beside him and he figured he was bothering the guy who was sitting next to him that’s why he just endured his stiff back and tried to focus on watching his mom bake like her life depends on it.
A while later, all the contestants were done baking. It was time for the judges to taste and decide who the winner was. It was a tough decision but in the end Inko, Izuku’s mom, won the contest. When his mom received the award, he took a picture of her smiling happily as she tried to show her prize to Izuku.
He was happy for her. When the contest ended his mom wanted to celebrate with him and eat outside. Izuku agreed but excused himself because he needed to go to the rest room. On his way, he can’t stop thinking about the books he just borrowed from the library.
Izuku is so excited to read them while having a cup of hot chocolate and cookies on his coffee table. He was so caught up on planning and mumbling on how he should read his book that he bumped his head hard onto a wall. That's what Izuku thought but he actually bumped into an Alpha.
“Watch where you’re going!” The Alpha hissed. Izuku gaped because he was mesmerized by the Alpha’s face, presence, blonde hair, and posture. “Oh, you’re the antsy omega who was sitting next to me, are you neurotic or something?” The alpha said plainly as he pocketed his hands and glanced from above him, not even asking if he was okay.
Izuku shook his head out to reality. “Wait, what? Excuse me? Neurotic?” Izuku pointed at himself. “I am NOT neurotic, mister whoever you are.” He folded his arms on his chest as he made eye contact with the alpha.
The blonde in front of him just shrugged. “Well, you couldn’t stay put on your seat. I thought you were anxious or paranoid or something.” He said as he turned around and walked away.
‘What the..’ Izuku thought. “Aren’t you at least going to say sorry?!” Izuku shouted at the blonde.
The alpha looked back at him. “Why should I when you were the one who bumped into me?” Then he walked away but with big steps this time.
‘RUDE!!!!!’ Izuku wanted to yell and run after that bastard. How dare he just walk away after he just called him neurotic. ‘What the hell is wrong with that guy? Ugh! Just because he’s an alpha doesn’t mean he could step on other’s dignity and pride just like that.’ He stomped to the washroom and did what he had to do quickly because he remembered that they were going to eat out with his mom.

When Izuku thought they were going to eat outside, he didn’t think that they’ll be eating in the Palace of the Bakugou Royal Family. His mom was too polite and kind to decline an offer like this.
When they entered the gates, they saw the King, Queen, and… What the f**k was Mr. All-knowing-arrogant-impolite-alpha doing here? Izuku was trying to solve the puzzle piece by piece. Looking at the Alpha, he was wearing an attire fit only for a...shit. He finally came to realize that he was the prince.
Cold breeze went up Izuku’s spine as he sees the blonde alpha smirk. He wanted to just turn around, run away, and never come back. He wanted to melt in his spot so bad.
“Inko, my dearest friend!” Queen Mitsuki approached her and gave her a tight hug. “Come, come. Let me show you around before we have our meal.” She said as she clung her arm into Inko’s arm. He saw King Masaru chuckle as he followed his wife and her friend inside the castle.
Which leaves them both behind. Izuku was just standing at the entrance, not breathing, because he could feel that the prince was staring at him. He was sweating bullets and he didn't know what to do. His feet was planted to where he was standing.
"Are you just going to stand there or what?" The Alpha said while looking at him with his hands in his pockets.
Izuku sighed. See what he meant? Izuku now couldn't careless if he was embarrassed, prince or not, he was rude to him and that doesn't change a thing.
Izuku looked back at him, straight in the eyes. He noticed how the blonde had red eyes and that they were intense and gorgeous. He noticed how his hair was spikier than his mom. He noticed how really tall he was. “Your majesty.” He greeted as he gave a small bow.
The only thing Izuku didn’t notice was how the blonde walked quietly beside him and that startled him he almost died. “Shall we?” The blonde asked.
Izuku only nodded as they walked beside each other. They were being escorted by guards because their parents were far ahead of them.
“What happened to ‘Mister whoever you are’?” The blonde asked not looking at Izuku.
“I know who you are now. What would be the point on calling you that?”
“You know who I am?” He scoffed. “Then address me by my name then.”
“That’d be disrespectful to you and your family. Plus, it would be a crime not to know who the Prince is.”
“Do you even know my name?”
“Yes, I do. Well, who wouldn’t? You’re the prince after all.”
“Then why don’t you call me by my name then?”
“No, thank you.”
Izuku heard the prince groan in annoyance. “Okay, fine! Never mind, don’t call me by my name.”
And with that comes awkward silence.
“Your majesty if I may interru—"
“No, you may not.” The prince immediately answered which made Izuku look at him and gave him a ‘what the f**k we weren’t even talking’ look. The prince looked back at him and gave him a ‘so what, I’m a prince I can do whatever I want’ look.
‘Unbelievable.’ Izuku said in his mind as he looked away. This guy is too much for him to handle! It was a good thing their walk was quiet and before they knew it they arrived to the palace’s garden, where their table was set up for all of them to eat.
The omega was in awe when he saw the garden. He wanted to touch the flowers and smell them but he would be imposing if he did that.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” The queen stood beside him, he didn’t notice that she was beside him already. Izuku nodded. “My son, Katsuki, takes care of this garden.”
“Prince Katsuki, takes care of this garden?” He hardly believes it that it made the queen chuckle.
“Yes, he does. He comes here every day to water them, to clean what’s not supposed to be here, and to talk to the plants whenever he feels like they’re not growing well and healthy.” She looked at him. “I know it’s hard to believe but he does and that is the one thing he loves to do.” She smiled at him. “Come, let’s sit down and have lunch.”
While eating lunch, Izuku couldn’t help but to stare at Prince Katsuki from time to time. He still couldn’t believe that Katsuki, alone, can take care a garden this big. He was caught staring a lot of times already but he still kept doing that.
When they were all done eating Queen Mistuki suggested that they have a walk around the garden to help digest the food that they ate. Izuku wanted to politely decline but Katsuki invited him to just sit beside the fountain.
They walked to where the fountain was and stood there admiring the fishes.
“Why were you staring at me during lunch?” Katsuki asked, now looking at Izuku with furrowed brows.
“Was I? I’m sorry, you must’ve been uncomfortable.” Izuku said as if he wasn’t doing it on purpose.
“I’ve grown accustomed to being stared at. I don’t feel weirded out by it at all anymore.”
“Is that so?”
Katsuki hummed as a response and walked to the nearest flower. “Did that old hag tell you about how I grew this garden by myself?”
Izuku couldn’t help but to feel insulted on how he called his mother. “You’ve been rude all day.”
“You didn’t answer my question.” The prince said in a firm voice.
“Why would I answer that?”
“Because it’s a question...?” Katsuki gave him a ‘duh, are you dumb?’ look.
“I know that it is but why do you think I should answer that when, one, you called me neurotic and didn’t even say sorry, two, you were rude to your guard, and three, you’re calling your own mother an old hag.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes. “Do I look like I care? No, I don’t dumbass.” He said as he walked to Izuku. “You look neurotic to me, that guard was interrupting my peace, and it’s true that my mother is an old hag.” He scoffed and walked away.
Izuku gaped when he heard what the prince just said. 'Is he for real? It was as if he was acting like a child!' He wanted to smack his head so hard on a wall that he forgets about what that prince said. He breathed in and out and just let it go. ‘He’s a prince. He’s a prince. He’s a prince.' Izuku kept chanting in his mind just to let his anger pass.

The day ended and the Midoriyas were about to leave. They accompanied them to their palace gates.
“Oh, Inko. I hope you make time to visit us here. Know that you are always welcome when you visit.” Queen Mitsuki said as she hugged her beloved friend.
“Thank you, Queen Mitsuki. I will try and visit. I just hope that the bakery isn’t packed tomorrow.” Inko sighed. Katsuki saw how Izuku put a coat on his mother’s shoulder when he noticed how she shuddered from the cold. “We better go now. It’s getting late. Thank you for having us today.” Inko said as she gave a curtsy and Izuku a bow.
When they left, Katsuki immediately went to his room. He was still annoyed on what Izuku said. How dare he not answer his question. How dare he question him. But even though he was annoyed he couldn’t help but to remember how the greenette stared at him during lunch.
He shouldn’t even care. He was just the son of his mother’s best friend. He might not even see him again anymore.
But he said that too soon. The next morning, they heard the news that the local bakery of the Midoriya’s was burned down by an unattended cake and now the Queen invited them to stay in the palace with them. They were provided with their own quarters and was given a job to do so that they won’t feel that they’re imposing too much in the royal family.
