Kira POV

Mum has been pacing up and down in the living room and I can tell you worried is an understatement with the way mum has been. Dad has tried to calm her but she is so curious and agitated to even bulge or listen to anyone. Grandma has been in her room for the past 15 minutes with the pack doctors, trying to figure out what had happened to her. Grandma has been mum's best friend and teacher,they have been the only ones since mum's dad left them or couldn't be found.

Grandma is a witch and the leader of the pack of witches of Texas. She is a tall lanky woman,with white skin,dark hair and brown eyes,a good example of a model. I've heard stories of how she United the wolves and witches owing to the fact that mum was a hybrid (mixture of wolf and witch).

I looked around to notice how many people are in the pack living room,made up of mostly witches and wolves with a vampire who is a friend of grandma's. "Alpha and Luna can we talk privately?"the pack doctor William said which drew my attention,so I immediately stood up and followed them. Dad took us to his office "alpha am sorry we check possible reasons that would have put the Luna's mother in that position but we couldn't find any" doctor William said immediately we entered into dad's office. Mum covered her mouth with her two hands and started to cry,I held her but she looked pale and exhausted. Dad took her into his arms and patted her.

I watched the pack doctor William leaving the office so I followed him out. "Let's go check her up,she needs us" my wolf Lusy said I nodded and ran straight to her room. I took a deep breath before going in,I opened the door and saw her sleeping peacefully,she slept like sleeping beauty with purple inner gown and black overalls. I walked to her bedside and sat down, thinking how beautiful and peaceful she looked that I immediately thought of my mate. His beautiful ash blue eyes,his scent and about all that had happened in the woods. "I need mate,I need to see mate"my wolf said and growled at me,"yes I miss him too and I need him too but we have more things to worry about now"I replied her. Yes but you hurt mate and left him there,we need to know if he is ok"my wolf said. "Common he will be fine,don't be a cry baby" I replied then she hissed. We were still arguing when grandma sat up, grabbed my hand and started to mutter words with her eyes still white. I got scared,I was about to move when her grip became tighter then she said "he is coming,we need the alpha king. Find him,find the true alpha king and protect him from the evil one"she immediately fell back like nothing had happened.

I couldn't move,I was so shocked and looked as if I had been in a trance. I couldn't utter a word even when mum asked because she came in immediately grandma went back to sleep or whatever happened to her. All I said was protect the alpha king when I felt my eyes closed and I went out cold.

I walked through the woods exactly the area where the incident occurred,ahead I could see the tree my mate was threw into by my ball and the side he fell on when I paralyzed him. I looked up,the moon was at it's peak when I saw grandma appeared in front of me. She looked more beautiful and younger,I immediately got scared hoping that she wasn't dead. I've always been told stories of how beautiful and younger someone's spirit looks when dead. "Please don't tell me you are dead" I said when,she just smiled and said "she wasn't but needed to talk to her in private because of what's to come" I was so relieved to hear that. "So you've met your mate" she said. I was so dumbfounded when I heard her,how did she know I've seen and met my mate because I haven't said a word to her or anyone. She smiled at me and said"child I am not the leader of the witches for nothing,I know everything". "It was yesterday and I don't really know him" my cheek turned red as I replied her.

I saw grandma become serious and she told me that to go look for the alpha king that he is in trouble and I need to protect him. "Grandma the king already has all the protection he needs and he is the king who can attack the king?" I said. "No silly,the alpha king is your mate the prince,you have been destined to be his protector and mate. You will be his second half" she replied. "Ok but grandma the king and my dad are enemies and you know,how will that work?" Well leave that to me,let me worry about that" she replied. "Ok but who is the evil one,and what does he want with my mate?"I asked. He is my brother,he wants the power your mate possess which is the power to subdue all the creatures in the supernatural world. He has the spirit of the great Alpha that ruled over the world. My brother Lynn was the adviser to the alpha king,he became power drunk that he tried to take the powers of the king but failed. So he connived with the rogues to kill the king,I left to tell the king when I heard but I was too late the king had already died. So I locked my brother away and locked his powers. So I guess he has escaped and gotten back his powers". I was lost of words with the information I just received,so my great uncle is the evil one. I was still in shock when grandma placed her hands on my back and patted me which brought me out of my shock. "I know it's alot to process but trust me you need to be stronger than you are" she said. "What do I need to do grandma" I asked,"well for starters you need to mate with him and you train. You are not the only one that will protect him,the moon goddess will send the other protectors of the king"she said and smiled. "But you need to go back it's getting late and your parents are worried about you. But know this it is going to be tough and more enemies will be made but know the moon goddess will always guide you"she said,"what about you grandma" I said. "Well I need to rest a little longer,my time will come"she said and immediately disappeared.

I turned around to see if she was still around but she was no where to be found,I called for her but no reply only the echo of my voice I could hear. I turned to leave when a bright light shun on me then I woke up with my mother beside my bed. She sat on a chair band rested her head beside my bed. I ran my hand through her hair then she jerked and woke up looking happy and she was all over me. "What happened and how long have I been out?" I asked her,"you fainted in your grandma's room for the past one week"she replied. "What about grandma?" I asked again." Your grandma is fine".
