Handsome CEO Rescued Me
On a serene and secluded isle, the soft pitter-patter of raindrops descended like gentle whispers from the sky. The rolling waves of the sea sang a soothing melody, as if they were trying to calm Emma's heart.
With a tender touch, she carefully shaped a piece of wood with her dagger. The rain whispered tender kisses on her face, but she felt only a peaceful calm.
For a decade, she had been separated from her family. Just as she had finally found the truth, the truth about her mother's death and her kidnapping was almost within reach. But a group of people claiming to be her rescuers tried to take her life.
Despite their efforts, Emma had emerged victorious, but her ship had sunk and she was now stranded on this tranquil island.
As she counted the days, it had been a week since she had set foot on the island, and not a single ship had sailed by.
However, she was surrounded by lush vegetation and had built herself a quaint wooden boat. She had just risen to stretch when the rain started to fall more heavily.
Suddenly, she noticed a dark figure on the rocks and went to investigate. To her surprise, she found a handsome man lying there, his skin as pale as the moonlight. He had suffered an injury, and his blood flowed into the sea, creating a mesmerizing sunset in the water.
Emma gently placed her finger under the stranger's nose, a flicker of hope igniting within her as she felt the gentle stir of breath. With care, she took him into her arms and carried him to the cozy cave she had called home for the past few days.
As she started a warm fire, Emma bravely braved the rain once more to gather some healing herbs.
"You're in luck to have found me," she whispered softly, tenderly reaching for the stranger's clothing.
A quick examination revealed a deep knife wound, and Emma couldn't help but worry if it had reached any vital organs.
As she reached for his wrist to take his pulse, a strong hand grasped hers instead. Startled, she met the stranger's dark gaze.
"Who are you?" he asked in a hushed voice.
Smiling warmly, Emma replied, "I am your guardian angel. And if you don't mind, I'd like to tend to your wounds and help you heal."
The stranger simply watched her warily, his brow furrowed. Emma offered him the crushed herbs, but he pushed her hand away.
"I can do it myself," he said gruffly.
Emma stepped back, respecting his wishes, as she admired his impressive figure. She couldn't help but feel a blush rise to her cheeks as she carefully placed the herbs on his wounds.
"What's this?" the man asked, his voice soft and devoid of any emotion.
"Just some gentle antiseptic herbs to help with your wounds," Emma replied.
"Where am I?" he asked, looking around in confusion.
Emma couldn't help but feel a little bashful in his presence, but his constant questions quickly made her more impatient. She raised her head and met his gaze, taking in his striking appearance. "I wish I knew," she thought to herself. "If I knew where we were, I wouldn't have been stranded here for a whole week."
"Perhaps you should save your strength and rest, instead of asking questions," Emma suggested tenderly. "You can always ask your teacher for answers when you're feeling better."
The man frowned, his eyebrows knitting together. "That's not how a doctor should talk to their patient," he muttered.
"And what do you know about how a doctor should treat their patients?" Emma retorted. "I'm the one who saved you, remember?"
The two of them locked eyes, the tension in the room palpable. But in the end, Emma decided it wasn't worth arguing with an injured man. She rose to her feet and said, "It's going to get colder tonight with all this rain. Let me start the fire again to keep us warm."
As she walked towards the corner of the room, the man called out, "Hey."
Emma turned around, frustration clear in her voice. "What is it now?"
The man hesitated for a moment before finally saying, "Nothing."
Rolling her eyes, Emma returned to her task of starting the fire. It was a difficult process, as the humid island made it nearly impossible to get a flame going. But after over an hour of effort, she finally managed to get a small flame burning. Unfortunately, the wind soon blew it out.
"Hey," the man said again, drawing her attention.
"What now?" Emma asked, her voice tinged with annoyance.
But as she turned to face him, she heard a metallic clatter on the ground and saw a lighter at her feet.
"Oh!" she exclaimed, realization dawning on her.
After a moment of stunned silence, Emma let out a chuckle and said, "You sneaky thing, you had a lighter this whole time."
The man just smiled and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep.
When she opened her eyes, she heard soft whispers and gentle footsteps outside the cave. She smiled, knowing that she was no longer alone.
She sat up and noticed that the kind stranger's jacket was still wrapped around her. She wondered where he had gone, but she was grateful for his thoughtfulness.
She got dressed, feeling a little more confident, and stepped out of the cave. When she saw a line of bodyguards dressed in black, she was momentarily frightened. But then she saw the kind stranger speaking with their leader and she felt relieved.
She was about to call out to him, when he turned around and their eyes met. It was the first time she had seen his face clearly and she was struck by how handsome he was. He looked serious, but also gentle.
He approached her and asked, "What can I do for you?"
She was taken aback by his question. "I just wanted to say thank you for your help," she said, smiling warmly.
He looked surprised by her response. "Is that all?" he asked, sounding almost disappointed.
"Yes," she replied, "I just want to get home. I want to be with my family."
The man nodded and turned towards the helicopter. A few hours later, the helicopter was flying over the skies of the city.
The man pointed at a manor below and asked, "Is that where you want to go?"
She looked down and nodded, "Yes, I think so." She didn't have many memories of her childhood, but she knew that her father lived there. She wanted to go back home and be with her family.
The man nodded and gave the pilot the order to land. When they touched down, Emma felt grateful and relieved. She turned to the man and thanked him for everything.
He looked at her with a hint of a smile and said, "It was my pleasure." And with that, he disappeared into the helicopter, leaving Emma with a feeling of warmth in her heart.
