Chapter 6 Dean

I held her hand and waited for my sister to get back with the food. I was starving, and Scarlett was breathing fast and twitching. Then she started talking.
"Please, no, I didn't do it, stop." She whined in her sleep. She was having a nightmare. I wish I could take it all away. I know being with her is gonna be a lot of pain, and marking her is gonna make it worse, but I would do anything for her and even go through hell.
"Here you go, it's not much, but I can tell you are hungry, so eat." Riley said to me.
I was so lost in thought I didn't hear her come in.
"D, I'm not gonna sugar coat this at all for you, so hold silget back, but her wounds are bad, and whatever she did, she might not wake up for a while, her wolf will probably put her into a healing coma so she can recover. I'm sure she will also need to mentally recover too." While Riley was talking to me, I started to feel pain in my heart.
"It's Scarlett she is in pain." Silget said to me, and my breathing was getting erratic, and my vision started to blur.
"D! Dean, look at me. You need to calm down." Riley said to me, but I couldn't focus it felt like I was getting my heart ripped out.
"What's going on?" the doctor said while bursting into the room.
"I'm not sure, Doctor Lowe he just started this, and she Scarlett has been like this since her arrival. Oh, they are fated mates if that helps." Riley said quickly.
"Thank you, beta Riley. Your information helps a lot. I need alpha to calm down he is only making the situation worse. I believe he is having a panic attack and has gone onto a state of shock. I don't want to put him out, but I might have to if he doesn't calm down." Doctor Lowe said to Riley
"Alright, Hey Dean, look at me. I'm gonna need you to focus, ok, calm down, would laying down next to her help you? Dean, don't make me hit you!" Riley said to me, but I couldn't understand anything that was going on. All I felt was the pain, my mate, my little mate was hurt, and there was nothing I could do! My heart was breaking.
"Riley, her blood pressure is way too high, and she has a lot of open wounds if you can get him to lay next to her on the bed while I go get the things I need, that would be great." Doctor Lowe said to Riley while rushing out of the room
"OK D, we don't have time." Riley said, clapping her hands together.
She balled her fist up and hit me square in the jaw. It didn't hurt, but it did snap me out of it.
"f**k*ng hel* Riley what the fuc*k!" I yelled at her.
"Dean, I need you to lay down beside your mate. The mate bond will help both of you." Riley said with her hands on both sides of my face, staring into my eyes.
I took a deep breath and did as Riley told me to do. I laid down on the bed with Scarlett, and she was right. Being near her like this did help calm me down, and just hearing her breathing helped calm me down. Her scent was helping me a lot, too.
"OK, Alpha, Beta, I will be doing some testing and most likely will have to stitch up her wound on her back. it looks like she has lost a lot of blood, so I will have to do a transfusion. I will have to figure out her blood type and see if you or the alpha will be able to give her blood if that's OK with you, Riley, during this time alpha I'm gonna need you to keep your beast back this is gonna be hard to see for him and you but she needs you to be calm."
I nodded and moved over so he could get started he moved over to her side and drew some of her blood. I couldn't stop the growl that came out of my mouth.
"Dean, it's gonna get worse. Please try to keep Silget calm."
The moment he turned her over to stitch her wound on her back is when I lost it. He took her makeshift bandage off. I could see her skin was shredded, and I could she her bone from her shoulder blade. I growled so loud it shook the entire packhouse, and then I howled in pain the whole pack could feel it, the pain of their alpha. I started to grow fur on my arms, and bones started to crack.
"OH FU*K!!!" Riley shouted
The door banged open, and Chase ran in.
"WHAT THE FU*K IS GOING ON?" Chase asked
"STOP HIM HE CANT SHIFT IN HERE CHASE ITS GONNA TAKE BOTH OF US."
"Riley, there's a sedative in my bag. You're most likely gonna have to use that on him." Doctor Lowe said
Chase ran and got it out of the bag. He jumped up on Dean's back and stabbed him in the neck with it.
"Sorry buddy, but she needs his help, and you need a nap." He said to me
The next thing I knew, everything was black, and Silget was asleep.
