"Mate," Silget grumbled
"She is fine mutt no thanks to you and your overprotective bullshi*t." I said back to him.
Then I felt him dig into my memories for my recent conversation with Chase to get up to speed on our little mate.
"Scar, she's OK, can I see her?"
I felt him push through to the forefront of my mind and peer through my eyes to see his little mate.
"She is alive, right?" Silget asked me, thinking the same thing I did when I first woke up.
"Yes, she is just healing. It's gonna take her five days to heal, okay." I told him, and I could feel that he wasn't too happy about it.
The more awake I became, the more i could feel. My injuries were already healed, but hers were screaming at me. My back mostly, it felt like there were searing hot coals underneath the skin. It was making me sweat. I could feel her fever, It was fighting off an infection.
I was starting to have a panic attack when Chase walked in.
"Hey man, I thought you could use the company." Then he looked at me, and his eyes got wide.
"Hey, take deep breaths man let me go get the doctor so he can give you some relief from the pain."
I grabbed his hand so fast that he yelped in pain.
"No, I can do this. What if we were in combat and she got hurt? I can't just shut down like this, and there won't be any doctor to around. I have to train myself to stay calm. She is going to be ok." I said to him, slowly calming down as I reasoned with him, more myself than anything.
"Ok, man, I got you. Just talk to me then, and we will get through this, ok."
I took a deep breath and just started talking to him about nothing and everything until my panic attack subsided.
"Damn, you're way stronger than I thought." Chase said to me.
"Really? I am the alpha, after all. You really have that little faith in me?" I asked, and he just smirked at me the asshole.
This was the hardest thing I ever had to do, I could feel her pain, and her wolf was in a deep healing sleep, so it was quiet for Silget, too.
I got up out of bed and went to my office. I had to still be the alpha of this pack even though I could feel my mate in pain, but it helped get my mind off of it. I didn't like that I had to be away from her, but i had to run my pack, and i had an investigation to start on her old pack and to find more infomation on her blood line.
It was getting late, and I had gotten a lot done, but nothing on her bloodline, I would catch a lead and then ran into a deadline. I got up and closed my laptop, and I couldn't wait to get back to my little mate.
As I was walking back to my room, a sharp pain went through my chest.
Silget howled in pain, I ran back to our room and saw our mate floating. Her eyes were open, but i knew she couldn't see me. Then, just like that, it stopped, and she dropped back on the bed.
The pain was gone, but it had me thinking that mabe my little mate was more powerful than just our normal she wolf. Maybe she was a hybrid, but what kind of hybrid is she?
I lay down next to her and pulled her as close as i could without harming her in any way. I thought if she is what i think she is, we will have the most powerful luna in history on our hands. I feel asleep soon after that thouhgt, listening to her steady breathing.
