"The Night Watch was formed a year or two after after war broke out. You know, not all vampires were interested in the conflict between the humans and the vampires, along with the others. So a few allies formed here and there," Daryl said, still gazing ahead into the dark distance.
"Some of the groups that were formed to help stop the war died out when the trust between humans and vampires waned so much that they turned against each other. But not the Night Watch. We managed to push on, like a family," I listened intently as he told the story that caught my full attention.
