The aroma of aged paper and ink hung heavy in the air, a comforting blanket enveloping Amelia as she browsed the shelves of the quaint bookstore. She was a creature of habit, finding solace in the familiar scent and the quiet rustle of turning pages. They found the book, and as he thanked her, their hands brushed, sending a jolt of electricity through her. “I’m Liam,” he said, extending his hand. “Amelia,” she replied, her fingers lingering a moment longer than necessary. A sudden realization dawned on Liam. “You’re the Amelia from the poetry reading last night, aren’t you?” Amelia blushed, surprised. “You were there?” “Front row, captivated by your words,” Liam confessed, his eyes sparkling with admiration.
