Chapter-1
People are like the pieces of a puzzle board. If you don't tell them things straightly, they will get messy and if you think about them beforehand and tell them everything straightly, they will get solved on their own. And right now, the situation I am in, I don't think I can solve it as soon as possible.
"Come on! Please help me!" He said, and I shut my locker door as loud as possible.
"You haven't still told me what I have to help you with." I said, annoyed. Why is he doing this with me?! For the last two days he isn't saying what I have to help him with. For the past few years, he hasn't looked at me and now, he is roaming around me for my help. The reason I have to help him with?! I don't know.
"I will tell you, but first, you have to promise me that you will help me." He said. Here we are, at the same point.
"If you will not tell me what I should help you with, I am not helping you, Prince Ivan." I said, smiling so that I don't hear like I am disobeying him.
He sighed. "Okay, Princess Roseulka." He said, forcing a smile. "But first, we have to get out from here so that the people here don't get to hear us." He said, a forced smile still plastered on his face.
I looked around, and I could see nothing but eyes that were looking at us like the hawks. Why is Brittany looking here like her life depends on this? Does she like him? Well, she looks at every boy in this school like this. Why am I thinking about this?
"Now, tell me. Hurry up, class will start anytime soon." I said, and it got his face into a frown. Yeah, what else am I expecting from the prankster and the bad boy of this royal school.
"So, listen. I have fallen for your sister." He said.
I chuckled. "You mean you have this big crush on Princess Brittany?" I said, and chuckled again.
"No one has ever been this comfortable and undisciplined around me." He said with his neutral face. I chuckled again.
"Look who is talking. The most undisciplined student is talking about discipline." I said, smirking.
"I am forgiving you only because of her. Otherwise, you would've gotten into an enormous problem." He said. I know that is why I am saying everything on your face. Or not, who would've said these things on to the face of the most powerful and bad boy kind of prince.
"Now exactly tell me what you want me to do on this topic." I said. I know he will probably say that he wants me to be a bridge between Brittany and him. But little does he know I am far away from being that bridge. I can never be that bridge even if I want to.
He smirked. "I want you to help me for getting close to her." He finished, the smirk never leaving from his face.
"Why do you think you love her?" I asked, my question making his face dull. I raised my eyebrow.
"Well, she is beautiful and kind." I tried hard not to laugh. The first reason is correct but the second one... kindness? She is far away from kind.
"Okay. I will help you." I said.
"I will give you what you want from me in return." He said. "Say what you want."
"For now, I want nothing. I will ask for it later when the time is right." I said. What do I want? Nothing... for now.
"Okay, now the important part. I want you to take her to the royal ball that she doesn't attend." He said.
"You mean the royal ball that your family holds every year?" I asked.
"Yeah. I want to see her there. And in that time, I am going to propose to her to be my girlfriend." He said as a smile crawled up to his face. Yeah, you won't probably see her. She doesn't go there because she wants to be a mysterious figure to the people. I sighed, thinking of how dramatic she is.
"Anything else, your highness?!" I asked, bowing slightly.
"No. you can go now."
"Okay. I hope we never meet again." I muttered under my breath.
"What did you say?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
"No, nothing."
"We will be meeting frequently now." He said and went past me, leaving me alone.
After a long class I can now finally relax. I went to my royal dorm and sat there on the bed. I looked outside. There are a few plants that are withering. Poor them. I stood in front of the window and moved my hands towards the flowers and plants.
"Grewena." I muttered under my breath as I twirled my hand towards the plants, letting them grow. Okay, that's enough. If I do it too much, they will grow so big that people will get suspicious. It's good that I am a dryad, otherwise these poor little things would've died under this sun.
"Oh, one more left." I took my hand in the other one.
The door flew open, and I flinched as I quickly stood up, not wanting to let Anna see what I was doing. "Roseulka!" There came the sound of her. I turned around.
"What?" I asked.
"Sorry for not knocking. I sometimes forget that I am a princess." Anna said.
"Oh, no, it's completely fine. We talked about this earlier, right?" I assured her, even though it's not fine. I saved myself from exposing myself.
"There is this big news!" She shouted excitedly.
"If you shout like this, the maids will come and scold us for not having enough princess kinds manners."
"Yeah, whatever, who cares about them?" She said as she twirled her hair around her finger. Anna will never learn her lesson. But it's nice because she is lively. Even though she is clumsy and extremely naïve, I love her and I won't ever leave her.
"So what is the news?" I asked her as both of us sat down on my enormous bed.
"Remember? I always told you that there was a nymph in our school? One of the rarest magical creature who gets the responsibilities and powers to take care of a tree and renewing them." She said. No! Not again with this topic. What will happen if they know that I am the one? They will stare at me and ask me questions like 'why isn't your skin green?'
"Recently the authorities are also saying that there is a student who is a nymph but they can't know her identity because the student said nothing to her or his information papers." She said. What the heck am I hearing?! How do they know?!
"Judging by your expressions, I know what you are thinking. They actually knew it because the plants were growing miraculously with no stoppage." She finished saying. Okay... I was too careless.
"I am so excited to meet them." You already know me.
"You aren't excited?" She asked, clueless.
"Yeah, I am... kind of." I said. I have never showed much of my emotions. What will happen if I show more of my emotions? Will anything get better? No, they won't. Everyone will still know that I am an illegitimate princess. A concubine's daughter.
"I am really excited about the ball that will happen after one week." She squealed.
"You get excited about that every year." I said.
"Yeah! Because they invite there everyone. Who knows? Maybe I will meet my prince there." She said.
"Yeah, sure." I said.
"I know you don't believe in those kinds of things, but I believe in it and really! There will be a time you will know what I mean." No... there will be never a time I will know what that means because I am heartless on that side. I can never grab those feelings.
"You know, the princesses are still dreaming about Prince Ivan. I mean, why wouldn't they? After all, he is that legendary mythical creature." She paused.
"Rumors say that he will be more powerful when he will meet his soul mate." She finished adding it.
"There is nothing like soul mate." I replied.
"There is." She said in her neutral face and just stared at me.
"Everyone is preparing for the ball. You know the normal ball dresses and facial treatments."
"They don't have pretty faces like us." I said and we hi-fives each other.
"I don't know what would happen to me if you weren't there for m-"
"Princesses, enough of your conversations. Princess Anna, your head maid, is looking for you." Hanna said, interrupting us.
"Thank you for letting me know. I am going now. It was a pleasant time between us Princess Roseulka." Anna said and bowed a bit.
"It was a pleasant time talking with you, too. I will expect this kind of conversations more." I said, and bowed my head a bit. Yeah, these are called equities that we have to show off in front of everyone. Anna left the room, and Hanna's eyes turned up to me once again.
"Yes, miss?" I asked.
"How many times should I tell you to call me by my name?"
"Ho-ho." I said, moving my hand to my lips. "How can this lady call you by your name?" I joked.
"Enough. Now, it's time for your bath." She said.
"You always smell like cherries." Reyna said.
"Thank you, Princess Reyna."
"You're welcome. Is it some kind of perfume that you made by yourself? I think I am also getting the smell of... wood?" She said. s**t!
"Yeah, it's customized by me." I said.
"Oh wow. You are so talented." She said, and I gave her a warm smile.
"It's odd that you smell like cherries and wood at the same time. Cherries are optional but wood?" What is Prince Ivan doing close to me?
