Mimi Cona      I loved family movie night we’re watching Black Panther, I always had this oh I don’t know. A fascination, a connection to them.      Their slick black fur, muscled legs moving at their fastest speed, perky ears hearing sounds that we humans can’t even comprehend, smelling scents from miles apart. As my mind wanders to these beautiful creatures my family noticed my body changing. By the time I snapped out of it, my hand had already turned into a full-fledged panther claw with black fur traveling up my arm. I looked at my up at my parents' faces filled with horror. My dad sat closest to me. His light blue eyes and strong jawline looked back at me like he didn’t even know me. My eyes can see way better all of a sudden that I don’t even need my glasses I took off my glasses and my eyes were amazing I could see the small mole on his neck, the grey on the hair underneath my mom's ear.      My father not so subtly scooted away from my panther-turning self seeing as half my face is in the shape of a panther. Knowing that I was not going to get any help from dad I rushed over to mom and grabbed her hands “Mom please you have to help me!” I begged her studying her face looking for any sign that she cared. Looking at my parents my dad John’s blond hair, turquoise eyes, and white skin. Contrast to my mom Hellen’s black hair, warm brown eyes, and dark skin. Whereas I on the other hand am a mixture of both with mixed skin, dad’s turquoise eyes, and mom's black hair.      “She will not help you.” My dad said sternly.     “Get the hell away from me freak!” said the woman who raised me for the past eleven years. Then the cruelest thing to a child she slapped me. “Get your a*s out of my house before your on a dissection table which I’ll gladly put you there. By then I had fully shifted into a panther just as I had imagined it, me being the obedient child I was did exactly as my mother instructed I got out of her house. Coming out of the daze I was in running felt like I was the wind my strong paw thumping on the strong ground. But reality came fast and furious.     "Oh my god I have nowhere to go I'm all alone!" I thought.    "You're not alone you have me" A timid yet confident voice stated     "And who are you?" I asked the voice in my head.    "I'm Meridian but you can call me Meri. I'm your panther."    "Well, my name is Mimi!"    " No duh I live in your head," Meri said trying so hard to not laugh.   I rolled my eyes at her craziness. "Meri we're homeless what ar-" I was cut when I heard a feminine chuckle. I backed away from the sound, snarling which sounds way cooler now that I'm a panther.  "SHIFT" the voice commanded and against my will I did. So there I stood n***d in the middle of the forest scared, cold, and not alone. "It's okay just calm down." the voice said as my clothes appeared on my body and a woman with pure white hair, silver eyes, and skin that can make a vampire jealous stepped forward. "Well thank you child." the pretty lady said. Wait a minute what's she talking about giggling she said "My name is Moon Selene Moon, not Pretty lady and I can hear your thoughts. Your thinking how is that possible," DANG she's right " I am the Moon Goddess I make and mate all supernatural creatures like yourself."   "There are more of me?"   "Well not as of the moment but five more will come. Two girls three guys."   Selene looked me over before she sighed and said "I have gifts for your pack. You must protect them with your life. Clear!" She told me sternly. I nodded my head. Putting her hand in her jacket pocket she took out a necklace it was beautiful. It's in the shape of a panther made of 24K gold, real emeralds adorned the beautiful necklace. "DO not show ever okay, as a panther shifter you have the power to control elements. The only time you activate is in extreme danger. For now, the only power you guys have is camouflage and mind manipulation. Each jewel will be different depending on what month is your birthday.      "Follow me," Selene stated as she got off her knees and started walking north. I stood up and dusted off my kitty pajamas and followed her.   After about an hour of walking, I asked "Where are we going?" I yawned today was most definitely catching up to me. "Come little alpha you need your sleep."She said tenderly huh what did she call me. "An alpha since your the first of the panther of all time you're an Alpha the very first." As she said this pride welled in my chest.   I have read a lot of supernatural romance so if I'm correct then where is my pack? " Your pack consist of two more girls and three boy they will all come one by one at a time over the course of the month. You will not know who they are since you all have a month before school starts I advise you read this through and through. The pack name is the Royal Panther Pack usually a supernatural can knows if another is around but I have personally made sure no one will know about you and the rest of the children. Once fully activated you all will control the elements and have normal magic but on steroids. You'll grow extremely powerful with the arts such as singing, dancing, painting, and writing the four main arts, and more will make you practically invincible, but you need to watch out for hunters humans with super strength and they always know if a supernatural is around they will hunt and then kill. Another thing I should add dear Mimi is that no longer is your last name, Cona. You and the pack are family, so your last name shall be Warren.   "Mimi Warren," I tested the name out "has a nice ring to it." Miss Selene smiled at me. Something was wrong because her skin was fading "See you someday." Was the last thing out of her mouth before she was replaced with a manual its title in bold letters. "How to be an Alpha panther shifter" wow there is a literal manual. Finally coming to my senses I took in my surroundings and noticed a big abandon looking building. I had this new sense of hope it's home. From what I can see it needs work. Well, thank the beings above because I've watched so many renovation shows. I think I'm gonna like it here.
