The Abused Lycan and Her Mates

Chapter 9

Cameron POV

It's amazing to see my dad here. He has always been a huge help with everything and maybe he will be able to help our mate heal from her trauma. When she woke up this morning with a scream, I started to panic. She was crying and I had linked Gabe to come back as soon as he could. When he arrived, she started to calm down more. After hearing that it was a nightmare, I worry about how much sleep she has been getting. Especially since she is now curled up against Gabe sleeping soundly.

My dad looks back and smiles at us. “I am so happy for you boys. I know that this will be a challenge but she will heal in time.” He tells us and we both nods out heads. I look back over to Gabe and he is watching our mate sleeping. I smile and relax back against my seat. I close my eyes while we continue to make our way to the coven. It’s going to be a long two hours on the road but worth it.

I feel someone trying to link me and sigh. “Yeah”

Gabe: What are we going to do is she has nightmares again?

Cam: We will hold her and do whatever we can to comfort her but she is going to have to talk to us about them soon

Gabe: I know but I don’t think she trusts us enough to share what she went through

Cam: Yeah but she trusts us enough to sleep around us

Gabe: She does, doesn’t she

Cam: We will keep her safe and help her heal from whatever the hell they did to her but one thing worries me

Gabe: What’s wrong? What are you worried about?

Cam: She doesn’t smell like she is innocent any more Gabe, they not only f*****g tortured her but they also r***d her

The link was cut off when I heard Gabe let out a low growl. Dad looks back at us and I shake my head. He nods and looks forward again. I place my hand over Gabe’s and squeeze it. “We will make them all pay for what they did to her. I promise you” I tell him in a quiet but deadly voice. I watch as Gabe looks at me and I see his beast in present. “We will keep mate safe and kill anyone who hurts her” his beast speaks and I nod my head in agreement.

I lean closer to our mate and nuzzle into her neck. She sighs out and snuggles more against Gabriel. I smile knowing that both of our beasts are out for blood and they will not stop until we kill everyone who placed a mark on her body. I close my eyes and let myself drift off to sleep snuggled up against my mate.

I am woken by my dad an hour later. “We are stopping for a gas. Do you need anything?” he asks me. I look and see that Gabe is sleeping with Violet in his arms. I look and see that I am laying across her stomach somehow. I sigh and close my eyes again. “I am good dad. I really don’t want to move either” I tell him. I hear him chuckle before the door opens and closes.

I fell fingers running through my hair and can’t help but snuggle more into Violet. I hear some chuckling and open my eyes to see both Gabe and Violet looking at me. “What” I say annoyed but calm as soon as I feel the hand start to move again. I sigh and lean more into the touch. “Don’t stop” I whine but the hand pulls away. “I need to use the bathroom Cameron” Violet says in a quiet voice. I don’t want to move. I sigh and sit up anyway. I got out of the car but she grabs my arm. “Will you come with me?” she asks. I smile and nod my head.

I see my father is still waiting to checkout and we stop by him quick. “We are gonna use the bathroom. Be right back” I tell him but he gives me a smirk and shakes his head. I wait for her after I finish up and then I hear her scream. I walk in and see another women standing close to her with a smile on her face. “Get away from my mate” I growl out. The women holds her hands up and I see a blade in her hand. “This lovely little one was offering her blood to me” the women says with a smirk.

My lycan comes forward and grabs the vampire by the neck. “You dare touch my mate. You dare to hurt my mate.” I say with a smile that shows my sharp teeth. I let my arura slip out and the women starts to tremble. “You’re a royal” she says with wide eyes. “I am a royal beta” I growl out. I squeeze even tighter around her neck cutting her air off.

I feel a shaky hand on my arm and look to see Violet standing there. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. “Sorry love. I..” but am stopped by a kiss on my cheek. She kissed me. I drop the women and can’t help but pull her into me. I lean down and plant a kiss on her lips. It was a simple kiss but one that I will savor for a long time.

When we pull apart, I see a shy smile on her face. We turn back to the vampire laying on the floor stunned. “I didn’t mean to…I thought she was….I mean…” she was trying to find words but failing. I step up but shocked to see Violet lean down. I can sense her lycan has come forward. “You think of attacking me again and it will be the last thing you do blood sucker” she growls out. I watch as the vampire starts shaking and I feel a power that I have never felt before. It’s like Gabe’s but different.

When we leave the bathroom, my father is looking at me knowing that I lost control but what shocks me is how everyone else is acting. They must have felt a fraction of the power that was radiating off Violet. I feel Gabe trying to link me but I keep him out for now. I look to my father and nod towards the bathroom while I lead Violet back out to the waiting SUV and Gabe.

Gabe is standing by the door when we arrive. He kisses the top of Violet’s head before she moves back into the SUV. Gabe closes the door and looks to me. “What was that I just felt?” he asked me. I sigh and lean my head against his shoulder. “Gabe, that was Violet that you felt. Something does not add up and I have a feeling that Violet has a hidden pass.” I tell him as he wraps his arms around me and leans down to kiss my cheek. “Cam, we will figure this out. First step is to visit with the royal coven here and then we head home. Mom and dad may be able to shed some light.” Gabe tells me and before he can pull apart, I kiss him.

He looks at me shocked and then smiles. He leans down and captures my lips with his. I can feel his passion and heat in his kiss but he does not push further. When we pull apart, I can’t help but smile at him. “Gabe” I say but am stopped when the door opens and Violet pocks her head out. “Are you two going to get it or leave me in here by myself.” I turn to see Gabe smiling and I can’t help the chuckle. We all load back up and continue the way to the coven.
