Chapter 12

Violet POV

I feel warmth against my back and a weight across my hip. I open my eyes to see that Cameron is up already. I hear the shower running and know that he must be in there. I feel the arm that is draped across my hip tighten and a light kiss on my neck. I chuckle and wiggle in Gabriel’s hold. “Morning beautiful” he says with a sleepy voice. “Morning” I say back. Gabriel loosens his grip and I turn so that I am facing him.

I smile at him and lean in to place a light kiss on his lips. When I pull back, Gabriel has a huge smile on his face. I think about how good looking he is and how lucky I am to have him as my mate. I am also lucky to have Cameron as my mate too. They both have been patient with me and helped me. I want to do something for them. I think about what I wanted to try with Gabriel.

I feel his hand brush some hair out of my face. “What are you thinking about love?” Gabriel asks me. I take a deep breath and look into his eyes. “Gabriel, I want to try something with you. I know that you will not hurt me” I tell him. He looks at me with confused eyes and I move my hand to his cheek. “Gabriel, I want you to try and drink my blood. I want to be able to help you” I tell him and I mean everything that I told him.

He takes a hold of my hand and brings it to him mouth. I feel a light kiss on the inside of my wrist. “Love, do know what it means to offer this to me right. Once I bite into your wrist, a mark is going to form there. It will tell everyone that you are mine.” He tells me and I look into his eyes. I am scared but I know that I can trust him. I nod my head in understanding but that is not good enough for him. “I need to hear your words love.”

“I understand” I tell him. “Are you sure about this? This can wait until you are more relaxed around me” he says and I smile at him. “Gabriel, I am comfortable with you. I trust you and I know that you would never hurt me” I tell him. I watch as he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. I feel a light kiss on the inside on my wrist and then he licks a spot that sends a shiver down my spine. I can’t help the little moan that escapes my lips.

That is when I feel the sharp sting in my wrist. I open my eyes and see my wrist in his mouth. There is a little bit of blood that trails down the corner of his mouth. When he pulls a way, he licks my wrist and places a small kiss. I watch as he closes his eyes and licks his lips. He leans back on the bed and I move to snuggle into his side. I lay my head on his chest and drape my arm across him as he wraps his arms around me.

It seems like he is doing ok. “How are you feeling?” I ask him. “Fine. I don’t feel sick. If anything, I feel stronger” he tells me. I smile knowing that I can help him. “Love, how are you feeling” he asks me. “I feel fine. My wrist is a little sore but overall fine” I tell him. I watch as he moves to look at my wrist and then he has a huge smile on his face. Just then Cameron steps out of the bathroom with a towel draped around his hips.

“What am I missing?” he says in a coy voice with a smirk. He moves closer but then freezes when he sees my wrist. “Gabe, did you?” he starts to ask but stops. I look at him and see that he is looking at my wrist in Gabriel’s hand. I look at my wrist to see a mark. It’s a crescent moon shaped mark with a star. It looks like a little tattoo. “Cam, calm down.” Gabriel tells him and that is when I hear the low growl coming from him.

“Calm down, you fed from her Gabe. How can I calm down. Did you even ask? I know you have been struggling but really man” Cameron says in a growl. I move to get off the bed and slowly approach Cameron. “Cameron, I ask him to. He told me about it and what it means.” I say as I move closer to him. I feel like I am approaching a bunny and he could run off at any minute.

I am close enough to wrap my arms around him but I place my hand on his chest over his heart. “Cameron, my protective mate. I promise you that I was the one that asked him.” I tell him. He starts to relax under my touch and then wraps his arms around me. “I thought he lost control. He told me on the way here that he was struggling with the urge to bite us and drink our blood.” Cameron tells me in a sad voice.

Gabriel is up and moving closer to us. He wraps his arms around both of us and hold us to him. “Cameron, I would never do anything to hurt either one of you. You both are my mates and I would rather die than be the one to cause you pain.” Gabriel says in a quiet voice. I watch as he leans in to kiss Cameron. I knew we were mates but they were both mates too was something that I never would have imagined. Gabriel pulls away from Cameron he looks to me and leans down to place a kiss on my lips.

It was a sweet kiss that holds a promise and when he pulls away, I can’t help the smile on my face. “So, are we going to get some breakfast” I ask as my stomach starts to growl. They both chuckle and Cameron moves to pick me up but Gabriel beats him to it. He tosses me over his shoulder and makes his way out of the room. I see a stunned looking Cameron but then I see a smile before the door closes to our room.

We are greeted by Jewels when we arrive but she has worried look on her face. Gabriel sets me down and I walk over to her. “What’s wrong?” I ask her. She looks to Gabriel and then back to me before sighing. “There is a visitor here to see you. She claims to have been from your parent’s pack Violet” Jewels says but there seems to be something else that she is not telling us.

I move closer to her and place my hand on her shoulder. “There is something else isn’t there?” I asked her. She looks me in the eyes and nods her head. “Yes Violet. She is a witch and claims that she is here to help you with your gifts.” I hear the low growl from Gabriel and turn to see that his beast is forward. Jewels steps back at the sight of Gabriel. We can feel his power radiating off him that any lesser creature would and should bow to him.

I turn and walk to where he is standing. I place my hands on his face and make him look me in the eyes. “Gabriel, take a breath. Everything is going to be ok” I try to tell him but his beast must be focused on protection at this point. I do the only other thing I can think of and pull his head into my neck. I feel him run his nose along my neck, breathing in my scent.

After a few more deep breaths, I feel Gabriel kiss my neck before pulling away. “Sorry about that. My beast is even more protective of Violet know that we have drank from her” Gabriel says in a quiet voice. Jewels smiles at us and looks at my wrist. I turn over my wrist to show her the mark left from Gabriel and she claps her hands.

“I am so happy for you two. I now understand why you are protective of her Gabriel” Jewels tells us with a smile. I can’t help but smile at her. Gabriel grabs my wrist and places a light kiss over his mark before wrapping his arms around me. He looks to Jewels and smiles before speaking. “So, this person claims to know Violet. Let’s go meet her. I can have Cameron meets us there” Gabriel tells her and she nods her head. “I already sent someone to lead Cameron to Jasper’s office.” Jewels tells us.
