The Abused Lycan and Her Mates

Chapter 14

Violet POV:

I am shocked to learn that I have a twin brother and then to find out that dark magic was used to make me forget my memories of him. I watch as he leaves the office. I want to go after him. I look to my mates the they nod their heads. “Be careful Love” Gabriel says before letting me up. I get up and run out of the room hoping to catch up to Noah but he is nowhere to be found. My lycan whimpers at not being able to find our brother.

“Where do you think he went” I asked her. “Maybe the lake.” She suggests. I nod my head and we take off towards the lake. When we get there, I see Noah sitting on a rock looking out towards the water. I slowly approach him but he calls out. “I know that you are there. Come on over” he says in a quiet voice. I make my way over and climb up to sit next to him. “I am sorry I forgot about you” I tell him. He sighs and looks up to the sky. “I have been looking everywhere for you. As soon as I was able to shift, I started to travel. When I couldn’t find you, I got worried that I would never find you again.” His voice shakes at the end.

I reach up to place my hand on his arm. “When Rosa started to have visions about you being tortured, it killed me that I couldn’t protect you.” he says in a broken voice. I lean against him and he wrapped his arm around me. “I am happy you are ok.” I nod my head and let him hold me. After a few minutes of us sitting in silence, he speaks up. “Some mates you have.” I chuckle and shake my head. “They can he a handful but I have only known them or a few days.” I tell him.

He pulls back to look at me. “A few days, I would have guessed at least a week or two with how protective they are of you.” I look up to see him smiling at me. “I woke up and they were both there in the hospital room with me. I even tried to attack Gabriel” I tell him with a chuckle. “Why” he asked me. I went on to tell him everything that happened to me. He got up and started to pace when I told him some of the more gruesome parts.

He ends up shifting into a giant white lycan. He is about as big as Gabriel’s beast but looks a lot like my lycan. He walks up to me and rubs his head on my hand before laying his head in my lap. I run my hand through the fur on his neck and he whines. “I didn’t mean to upset you. I am…….I am just happy to have a brother and a piece of my missing memory back.” I tell him as tears start to fall from my eyes.

Noah sniffs my wrist that has Gabriel’s mark and then he growls. Noah shifts back and looks at me. “You let him feed from you?” he huffs out in a growl. I pull my wrist to my chest and a low growl comes from me. “I let him fed from me. He hasn’t had any blood outside from game he killed. I trust him Noah” I tell him. I watch as his eyes go wide. “You mean to tell me that he has never tasted human blood before you?” I nod my head and watch as Noah slumps to the ground.

He starts laughing. “How is he even part vampire? Even the half vampires in our pack need to feed on human blood or they eventually die.” Noah tells me. I shake my head and sigh. “It’s not really my story to tell you.” I start to say but am interrupted by Gabriel himself. “You are right love, its not your story to tell but mine. I will tell you everything you want to know.” Gabriel says as he walks over to me. He places a light kiss the top of my head.

I look to see Noah is watching him with me. He has a smile on his face and nods his head. Gabriel turns to Noah and sits down on the ground and pulls my legs over his shoulders so he is sitting between my legs. “I have tried to drink blood from a living donor but every time I would get sick. Hell, you can even ask Cameron about it. I would pass out and be out for at least three days from even one sip.” I gasp when he tells us that.

I knew he got sick but I didn’t know that happens. “Sorry Love, I didn’t want to scare you if it didn’t work this morning” he tells me as he runs a hand up my legs. “Man, I am sorry. I didn’t fully understand. Then how are you ok with drinking my sister’s blood?” Noah asked. Gabriel shrugs his shoulders and looks up at me. “I have no idea but my uncle has a few ideas. He thinks its one of two things. One is being since we are mates and the other being from her gifts.” Noah looks shocked and then to me.

“Have you felt your gifts yet? I mean I know you are still recovering and gaining strength from everything those bastards put you through” Noah asked me. I shake my head and let it hang low. “My lycan barely talks to me. I can sense her more that I could a week ago but she still keeps to herself” I tell them both. Noah moves closer to me but is careful with Gabriel being this close to me.

I can tell that he wants to reach out but he holds back. “I can help you reconnect with her if you will let me.” Noah says. I smile at him and nod my head. “I would love that.” I tell him. I feel Gabriel squeeze my leg and I look down at him. He nods his head and leans back against the rock. “Let’s start now. It’s the first step that Rosa taught me and it’s a way to help center you.” Noah says. I nod my head but Gabriel keeps his hand on my leg.

I chuckle at how protective he is but he lets go after I pat him on the head. I move to sit across from Noah and listen to what he is telling me. “Now close your eyes and take a deep breath in and then let is out slowly. Listen to the sounds of nature around you.” I do as he says and listen. “Try to find a sound that grounds you and focus on it.” I listen trying to find that one sound and that’s when I hear a heartbeat. I take another inhale and smell Gabriel’s enticing scent of a coming rainstorm.

That’s when I feel a warmth from within that spreads through my body. I start to feel hot and panic but my lycan reaches out to me. “Violet, it’s our power. Don’t fear it. I will be with you and help you like our brother is trying to do. Focus on our mate’s heartbeat and scent again.” I do as she tells me and I feel myself calm down again.

We sit for what feels like hours before I feel Noah tap my shoulder. I open my eyes and see him smiling. “Well it looks like you take to fire like our father.” He says with a chuckle while looking around me. I look to the ground in front of me and see a circle of burnt grass around me. I also see Gabriel pacing with a worried look to his face. When he sees me stand up he is running towards me. “What happened? Are you ok?” he asks as he looks me over to make sure I’m not injured.

Noah starts chuckling and then shakes his head. “She will be fine. You should have seen when I first start to unlock my power. I almost drowned in the lake” he says with a chuckle. I look at him in shock and let Gabriel hold me close to him. “So you mean to tell me that she could have hurt herself” Gabriel growls but I wrap my arms around him to help calm him down. “It’s a risk but with guidance from our lycans and having something that anchors us, we can have complete control of the power. Which I might add, she does.” Noah says as he looks at me.

I think back to when I started to panic but then my lycan helped guide me. “He’s right. My lycan told me to find the scent and sound that grounds me.” I tell them and look up to Gabriel. “It’s you that helps keep me grounded. When I started to panic, my lycan helped me focus on your scent and heartbeat. I was able to calm down and focus again.” Gabriel holds me tighter to him and breaths in my scent.

I look up to the sound of paws on the ground and see that Cameron is rushing towards us. Gabriel stiffens and then growls as he pushes me behind him. Noah looks around like he is sensing something. My lycan is growling in my head that someone is watching us. I start to tremble and hold onto Gabriel tighter.

Cameron is next to me brushing against me but also blocking me as if a threat is close by. “Gabe, what’s going on?” I ask with a tremble to my voice. Noah moves closer to us and nods to Gabriel. “Sis, there is someone in the tree line watching us. They haven’t made a move yet but they smell like rouges.” Noah tells me. I look up to see Gabriel’s eyes have changed color and I know his beast is close to taking over. “Get her out of here. Keep her safe” Gabriel growls out to Noah before leaning down and giving me a kiss on the cheek. “Please listen and run when I tell you to run” he tells me. I nod my head. I don’t want to let go but I know I am not ready to fight yet.

After the first one breaks through the tree line Gabriel yells now. I take off running towards the coven house like he asked with Noah on my heels. I can hear the fight start as we reach the tree line. My lycan whining and I feel the panic start to set in. Something is wrong with one of my mates. I turn to see Cameron take a blade to his chest. I collapse to the ground and scream out like I was stabbed. Noah turns to see what is happening and tries to get me up but I am lost to the pain.

My lycan pushes forward and we take off towards the fight. I feel heat pull in my hands and throw a fireball at the closes rouge. Noah shifts and is right next to me fighting off any that try to get to close. “Now we make then pay” my lycan growls out and we unleash fire that takes out every rouge. I fall to my knees feeling drained butI stand back up to get to Cameron.

When I reach him, he has shifted back but he barely hanging on. Gabriel rushed to us whining as his beast nuzzles Cameron’s neck. “What can I do to help him? Noah, how can we help him” I ask my brother. He takes my hand and places it over the wound. “Close you eyes focus on healing the wound.” I do as he asks but all I feel is his heart starting to slow down.

Gabriel shifts and has tears running down his face. Cole comes running up to us with a hand over his mouth. “No, Cameron” he says as he falls to the ground. Gabriel pulls Cameron to him as he howls out in pain. “Gabe” Cameron calls out to him. “Please, save your energy.” Gabriel tells him. I watch as he reaches out for me. I crawl over to them and nuzzle into Cameron. “You know what to do” Cameron coughs out. I look up to see blood on the corner of his mouth and shake my head.

“I can’t, not like this” Gabriel tells him shaking his head. “Gabe, my love. I accept you” Cameron says before he closes his eyes. I look to Gabriel and he looks so torn up. He brings his head to Cameron’s neck and kisses him over the spot where his neck meets his shoulder. “I’m sorry” he whispers before biting him. I watch as Gabriel sinks his teeth into Cameron’s neck. He looks up to me and can see the sadness in his eyes before they change to his beast’s eyes. He bites harder and I watch as he swallows.

I lean forward and place my hand over Cameron’s heart. I feel a steady beat and I collapse completely on him crying. My head resting on Cameron’s chest as I wrap my arms around him. I carefully place on hand on Gabriel’s arm. He pulls back from Cameron’s neck and looks at my hand on his arm. He places a shaky hand over mine and squeezes it. “He will be asleep for a few days maybe longer with his injury” Cole tells us as he places a hand on Gabriel’s shoulder.

I look up to see him and the guards that came with us surrounding us. “We are going to need to get home as soon as possible.” Cole tells Gabriel. I watch as Gabriel nods his head but does not move. I think he is in shock. I help Cole get a pair of shorts on Cameron and before Cole picks him up out of Gabriel’s arms. I then help Gabriel get up and slid a pair of shorts on for him. I then lead him back to the coven house where everything is crazy.

I look to Noah. “We need order.” I tell him. He nods his head and goes over the group by the SUV. I leave Gabriel next to Cole and start barking out orders. “You over there, get everyone who is coming back with us to royal pack, packed and loaded in the next ten minutes. You five get the SUV set up so we can lay Cameron down for the trip back.” Noah has everyone working to load up and figure out seating since two from our SUV will have to ride in a different one and with the possability of Noah coming with me we will need to extra room.

Jasper and Jewels walk out of the coven house holding our bags in their hands. Two of the guards takes out bags from then and head back to one of the SUVs. “I am sorry to cut our visit short” I tell Jasper and Jewels. They shake their heads before speaking. “No, my dear. We understand that you need to leave as soon as possible. Please be careful and take some of our guards with you.” Jewels says but Noah shakes his head. “We will be fine. I will help protect them” he says with a bow. Rosa is standing next to them and pulls Noah in for a hug.

She turns to me and smiles. “I will see you in six days. I will have a way to help you regain your memories and I will bring your people with me.” She says before wondering off to where she parked her car. Noah looks to me and smiles. “Alright sis, lets get your mate home.” I nod my head and look back to Jasper and Jewels. We both bow to them and turn back to the see everyone is loaded and ready to leave.

I move to where Cole is standing holding Cameron and Gabriel looking completely lost. After Cole places Cameron into the SUV, Gabriel climbs in to lay next to him. I nod to the guards behind us and then climb in. I gently place a kiss on Gabriel’s cheek before settling in on Cameron’s other side. This is going to be a long trip back. As soon as I lay my head down on Cameron’s chest I fall asleep.
