Vansh looked at his nicely straightened tie and his mirror. If she had been there, she would have crumpled it to make a mess only to see his irritated expression.
Most of all, she loved to irritate him.
He laughed out loud and picked up his blazer before heading out of the room.
He paused and turned to face her, saying, "Jaan?"
He was standing erect in his spot, refusing to believe in any of those things, when she directed her gaze toward the refrigerator.
"Jaan, it's your first day na," she pouted as he shook his head. As he approached the refrigerator and opened it, he heard a final sigh. After taking a look at the curd stored there, he chose it and went to get a bowl with some sugar in it.
"Curd sugar, very fortunate." She grinned when he took two bites of curd and then consumed the remainder all at once.
"I wish you all the best, Meri Jaan," (my life) she murmured, expressing how she felt. He grinned and closed his eyes.
Wishing to take her in his arms but she shook her head and pointed at the door.
"It's getting late now," he remarked, hastily leaving the house. He turned around one final time, and she was gone, just like usual.
.
"Is the entryway ready, Esha?" Adya looked over her phone's list and questioned. today was really special for her.
"Yes, ma'am," Adya said, glancing at the girl as she made her way to the entrance to make sure. she could not take any chances.
"Why haven't the carpets been installed?" Looking at the still-packed rugs, she nearly lost her temper.
"Madam," Esha glanced at her boss with fear.
Adya groaned; she didn't want to get even more angry with Esha; the poor girl was going above and beyond what she had ever been expected to accomplish.
Adya's voice was stern below her confidence, "Get it done, now." Adya moved out from the doorway to examine the microphones in the corridor.
"Aahana, a bouquet of flowers ready?" She enquired.
Aahana said, "Ready," while she was using the laptop.
Rahul Raghuvanshi said, "I can't believe you managed to get this done within 24 hours." Adya had never seen a man as active as the man in his 60s.
Adya laughed and added, "All for you, Uncle Ro." Despite the fact that he was her employer, he treated her with the same level of love as a father would a daughter.
"Thank you once more, Adya," he murmured.
They both laughed as she stated, "Now, now, you see I have a boss who is veryyyy demanding, I have to give my 300% Na."
Rahul Raghuvanshi suddenly exclaimed, "I can't wait to see him after 8 years," as he fixed his expectant gaze on the building's doors.
Adya was at a loss for words, so she just smiled teasingly at this adorable elderly man. a devoted one.
"Sir, is he arriving straight from the airport?" Adya asked, taking another look at the refreshments' preparations.
Adya remained silent and Rahul responded, "No, from his place, he has in here." Adya found this odd; maybe the family was a little dysfunctional?
"Cease passing judgment." She scolded herself as they all made their way to the door, Adya considered the possibility that he was simply exhausted from their return from England.
The New CEO will arrive in a matter of a few seconds.
“Let’s go Uncle Ro and Welcome your son,” She said to the old man who smiled vibrantly as they both walked hand in hand toward the entrance.
Adya's breath stopped for a moment when a red Audi pulled up in front of the door a few seconds later. She felt something so strangely familiar. Uncle Ro was staring at her when she clenched his hand.
"He'll treat you nicely, Adya," Rohan remarked, assuming that Adya's anxiety was due to her new supervisor.
Adya only nodded and grinned slightly when the driver opened the car door and put one foot out on the pavement.
Adya mumbled, "Vansh," as she retreated a few steps and felt her heart halt the next second. Adya was waiting for the man for whom everyone was waiting. Her hands shivered taking in the reality.
Rohan Raghuvanshi hugged his son with a smile as they both walked towards the front door.
"Welcome to your empire," Rohan uttered as applause erupted around the hall. Vansh scanned the area as they made their way over to the stage, while Adya concealed between onlookers.
"I have to go right now, Esha. Can you please handle all of this?" she said, hurriedly grabbing Esha's hand and yanking her to the side. The following second, Adya's face went pale and she asked.
"Everything? By yourself? Thinking she might have misheard her, she inquired again.
"Yes," She nodded as she said it again.
"Mam, but—but, are you feeling under the weather or what?" Adya was fine when Esha quickly took her temperature.
“No, but I need to go,” Adya said with urgency holding her hand back, she might get fired for it but
She needs to get out quickly before Vansh notices her.
"But—Okay, ma'am," Esha responded, taking up the challenge.
"I'll leave now."
"ADYA?" When Rohan announced her name over the microphone, she was preparing to leave the building.
At the sound of the word, Vansh's breath caught, and he was too afraid to even move his gaze in the area his father was staring at.
"Please come in." Adya felt a chill run down her spine as she heard Rohan Raghuvanshi speak with pride. She moved slowly in the direction of the stage. She was worried and anxious, and her hands were shaking.
Adya nodded as Rohan spoke slowly, "My child, now this not-so-little guy right here is your responsibility."
Handing the bunch of flowers at him.
The world around them disappeared as Vansh abruptly raised his eyes and entwined his eyes with Adya's.
