"Adya!" Vansh screamed Adya's name when her hands fell limp and she did not respond to him patting her cheeks. "Vansh, take her to the room," Myra said as Vansh quickly picked her up in his arms in bridal style. To say he was scared would be an understatement, he loves her damn it. he loves her so much that it hurts. Living without her for three years was pure pain, and now he can't lose her. not again. Never again! "Myra give her CPR, her breathing is getting slow," Rahul said as Vansh put her on the bed, hurriedly rubbing her hands as Myra started to give her CPR. After a few minutes of CPR, Adya finally started coughing her lungs out as Vansh took a breath of relief, he almost thought that lost her. "Hey," Myra took her in a motherly hug as a tear escaped her eyes. "Are you feeling better now?" She asked. Vansh was standing right beside the bed. "I... I am fine Aunty," Adya said as she held her head, it was hurting badly. "I'll call off the party, Vansh call a doctor for her," Rahul Raghuvasnhi announced as his son and wife nodded. "Uncle RO, wait," Adya said, Rohan was ever so excited for this party and they had invested a lot in the preparation, she could not let him throw all of that in the water just because that man cared for her. "I am fine, really fine, please don't call off the party because of me," Adya requested as he sat beside her on the bed and put his hand on her head like a father. "You matter more than this stupid party, Adya," Rohan said as Adya's eyes teared up. "Please Uncle Ro, don't call off the party, I put so much effort into getting ready for this party," Adya said in a childish tone when her tears did not work on him. Rohan laughed shaking his head," now well you can't, so I am calling this party off," Rohan said pointing at her dress. "I can arrange something for her," Vansh said all of a sudden and Myra nodded as well. "See, now we have an option, don't call off the party, pretty please," Adya said as Rohan nodded. Knock! Knock! A knock on the door of the room pulled Adya out of her thought as she held the rope of the bathrobe tightly, the thing was way too big for her small frame. Adya opened the door a little to look who was on the other side, “Ji?” (Yes) She asked when she saw a middle-aged lady on the other side of the door. “Sir has sent this for you, madam,” The lady said showing Adya a packet, wetting her lips, she nodded. “Thank you,” Adya said taking the packet from her hands and closing the door behind her but not before locking it. She can’t take Vansh entering in the room and seeing her in that state. The heaviness of the packet made Adya frown. She kept it on the bed and saw four big boxes in it. Adya sucked a breath in before she opened the biggest one, it had the loveliest saree she had ever seen. It was pre-stitched with an off-shoulder blouse whose sleeves would cover her hands till her wrists. The silky material was so soft under the touch of her skin. “Duniya ki sabse khubsurat ladki ke liye, Ek chota sa, khubsurat tofa” (To the most beautiful woman in the world, a beautiful, small gift.) The words on the card stopped her breathing for a second. ‘Cunning man,’ she could not help but think about his choices. A smile made its way to her lips, he knew what she would like the most. Her hands went to the next one where a pair of round silver earrings with beautiful work on them was waiting. The box had another card, it read: “Ye, Tumahri Khubsurati mei char chand lagane ke liye,” (To increase your beauty ) ‘Such a flirt’ she thought keeping the things aside. The next one had a set of rings and a classy looking watch. The card in the third one read: “Aaj bhi watch right hand mei pehenti ho na, Isliye ye,” (You still wear your watch in your right hand na, For that,) Her heart was beating faster than it ever did, her cheeks were slowly flaming, and He remembered each and every detail about her. Her hands moved to the next one in anticipation of another message from him but she only found a pair of limited edition heels in that one but no message from him. It was not the things that made her heart race but his messages. Only he mattered to her, nothing else. In the past as well as present. Dropping the heels on the bed she made a pout and sat on the bed looking at the things he had sent for her when suddenly her eyes fell on what was written underneath the heels. “DIl ko sirf tumahara intzaar hai, Aur na tarsao, Jaldi aana, Jaan” (My heart is only waiting for you, Don’t make me suffer more, Come soon, Jaan (my life) “ A blush appeared on her cheeks as she quickly picked up the hair dryer and styled her hair, thank god she used waterproof makeup otherwise she would have been looking like a ghost. Looking at her reflection, Adya could not believe it was her, she looked more beautiful than she ever had. She bit her lip as she thought about all the events that happened in the span of just a few days but this was starting to feel beautiful. Adya started to walk down the stairs as all the eyes moved towards her, she was feeling so damn nervous, she was on the last step when her leg slipped because of the saree she was wearing. “s**t!” She closed her eyes in fear of pain but it never came, instead, a hard arm around her body pulled her close to his chest as her breathing turned heavier. “Always stealing my words, my little heartthrob, you look stunning,” A voice whispered against her ear as her eyes flew open in surprise. It was Vansh who saved her from falling down the stairs. Now she was hanging in his arms while all the eyes were on them. “I am so sorry, I am so sorry,” Adya repeated again and again as her cheeks turned red. Vansh forwarded his hand for her as she climbed down the rest of the stairs and smiled at the people around. His pinky finger was close to hers as he looked at her, he wanted to hold her hand, not under some unfavorable circumstances but with her permission, with their hearts beating at the same speed and anticipation. Adya sucked a breath in as his pinky finger touched hers, her eyes bored into him, looking right back at his soul. Was this the starting of something? “Vansh,” A female voice interrupted as Vansh quickly pulled his hand back and looked at the person, he so wanted to kill for interrupting such a beautiful moment with his Jaan.
