Vansh was hassled looking after the last minute preparations, “Do this fast!” He yelled at the workers as he loosened his tie.
“Ha-ha, look at him, Myra,” Rohan Raghuvanshi came with his wife by his side, he was still in his routine clothes.
“Dad,” he held Rohan before he could slip because of the misplaced carpet.
"Who the f**k is in charge of flooring? fix this!" Vansh yelled at the staff.
“Ji, please be careful,” Myra said to her husband.
“I am fine, I am fine!” he said holding his wife’s hand. she was his rock.
“Only if Adya had been here, she would have handled everything,” Myra said as with a small smile.
“No worries Aunty,” Adya announced as she walked inside the mansion that was decorated like a new bride.
“Adya, my child,” Rohan said as he shared a fatherly hug with Adya. While Vansh’s eyes did not leave her even for a second. She was looking absolutely gorgeous in that red single shoulder dress.
Her makeup was minimal and still, she looked stunning.
“Why are you not ready yet, Uncle Ro?” She asked looking at Rohan.
“I was just—“
“Waiting for you,” Vansh’s tongue slipped before he could even realize it.
All three pairs of eyes were looking at him as he cleared his throat leaving the awkwardness and looked away, “what I mean to say is, they were just talking about you,” Vansh rephrased his words as Adya nodded, secretly taking a good look at him.
“Now that Adya is here, let’s get you ready, Mr. Husband,” Myra said as Rohan held her hand in his grip and placed a kiss on her knuckles.
“As you say, biwi gi,” (wife) Myra’s cheeks were red the moment he said those words, Adya smiled at the lovely couple completely ignoring Vansh knowingly.
“You look stunning,” Vansh complimented Adya as the couple walked away.
Adya looked at her hand for a second before she said with attitude, “I was born stunning,” the confidence was newfound in her.
Vansh smiled, she still had the bratty attitude, “I can’t wait to see you in the one I picked for you,” He said as Adya looked around.
"Who said I'll be wearing that?" She questioned.
"I hope," He replied to her.
“Mr. Raghuvanshi, it's good not to hold on to false hope,” Adya said as he smiled, “My hope is standing right in front of me,” Adya just rolled her eyes and started walking away.
“I challenge you, Jaan, you will wear that dress,” he said just a little loudly so only two of them could hear it.
“It’ll be good to see Vansh Raghuvanshi being defeated,” Adya spoke before she got busy looking after the arrangements.
Now that Adya was here, Vansh had no worries to look after, he walked to his room to fix his clothes.
Everyone in the party was covered in masks of different types, the party had started and Vansh was busy with the business partners.
Adya walked towards the pool side for a few moments, the cold air of the night relaxed her as she heard footsteps behind her.
The footsteps she knew too well, she could tell from the sound if it was him or not. psychopathic
“Everything changed na? Jaan,” he said as he stood behind her. He was too close to her for her liking. But she craved this closeness with him, she wanted to hide him with all the praying eyes in the party, from the world.
Where there will be no one but just them. Safe and in love.
“You changed it,” She replied as he sneaked his arm around her waist, her breath hitched as he pulled her closer to his chest.
Her back was touching his front and goodness she could feel his hard muscles beneath the fitted suit he wore. She leaned her head on his chest before she gulped before she turned around to look at him.
“Give me one last chance, Jaan” He pleaded, holding her hand in his as he kissed her knuckles.
Adya felt her throat hurting with emotions, she had many questions but she could not voice out even one of them.
“If you accept then please wear the dress,” He said but Adya pulled her hand back from his grip and created a few feet distance between them.
“You had many chances,” She said and started to walk away when suddenly her leg slipped on the tile and she lost her balance.
Falling directly in the pool.
“Help! Help! Somebody help me!” She yelled but there was no one other than Vansh she tried to fight the drowning
“Say yes to the dress,” He said holding her hand just a little.
“What? No!” She said as he left her hand, she started coughing badly because of the water.
“Say yes,” he yelled over again but this time he saw her slowly trying to fight.
“f**k! Adya, give me your hand, now,” he said, she tried to hold his hand but her head started feeling heavy.
Vansh’s heart was beating at the speed of a bullet train, He gulped before he jumped in the water without thinking anything else.
“Adya!” he held her by her waist before pulling her in his arms.
“Adya,” He said her name and patted her face, in between all this everyone had gathered around the pool area.
“What happened? Oh god!” Myra said as she noticed Vansh holding Adya in his arms.
Vansh got himself and Adya out of the pool as he saw her slow breathing and unconscious state.
