Duck. swipe. Avoid. curse- "You demon! give me my vegetable back!" The man yelled at me and swung his fruit basket at me and all the precious food fell out "Why waste food?" I told him with a frown he screamed and grabbed a knife, I then took as much fruit as I could and grinned at the man "Adieu! See ya tomorrow!" I ran and heard the profanity of the man slowly fade away. I sighed and leaned against the bark of my apple tree which hadn't produced fruit yet, I looked around and saw many farmhouses around me in the vast fields. All looking beautiful and fertile, yet the one in-front of me was worn down and rotten, alas, that was my 'parents' last gift to me, I broke it down a couple years ago, I didn't want anything of theirs and I slightly regret that now as winter is always tough... Heya, the names Azimuth and I was abandoned by my parents blah blah blah, the typical sob story humans like. You may be wondering, why the villagers hate me? well, I blame my parents and my looks, Firstly my parents had beef with this village and now I am the chicken that was sent here to be cooked alive by these savages. Secondly, I have white hair and bluish turquoise-like eyes, and I consider them prettier than the brown mutts of the villagers, but anyways, due to that they want to sacrifice me every year during the festival of the star god- some weird s**t they believe in, and they always call me 'demon that has to be sacrificed for the peace of this village.' Bullshit. It's anything but peaceful, poor people are scattered across this hell-hole, selfish humans steal and rob but they are overlooked, when I Steal then we have a problem. I am taller than all of the villagers at a nice height of 6'0- so it always helps to get out of trouble, and I will soon be eighteen, they plan on either; A: Kicking me out. or, B: Capturing me to sacrifice me for good. They will go with plan B and if it fails, then A. Lovely. But before all that happens I am escaping myself, I don't want to handle a whole village, I am not superhuman, I can only handle 100, not 300. I shook my head at my thoughts and focused on the bag next to me, "My parents left a boat on the edge of the village I take that, and I leave." I muttered to myself and packed the bag- "M-may I come along?" I jumped from the voice behind me and saw a boy who was also abused by the village, however unlike me, he wasn't strong enough to fend for himself, not cuz he was weak, it was because he was soft hearted. "Remember me- I-I helped you from the villagers-" he stuttered out and I clenched my jaw, he was correct, but I don't have enough supplies for 2... I sighed and relaxed my stiff posture and turned to meet his light green eyes and golden brown hair, "Sure, Max. But, get some more supplies, or as much as you can get, we leave at dusk." I said and turned away from him not noticing the amusement in his eyes. The amusement I wish I saw... the sunset came fast and I waited for Max to come along, I tapped my foot on the ground patiently as I waited for Max to appear from the bushes. "where the hell is he-" I was cut off my a hand clasping around mouth, my eyes widened and before I could kick the man I heard a British accent fill my ears "Shh, They noticed me walking here and are now suspicious." Max whispered and I let my tensed shoulders relax, "Let them. They're weak." I said and started walking. "We travel North for 15 hours." I said and looked at the mountains surrounding the village. It had been 4 hours and Max was still commenting about my hair and eyes. "But, I have never seen someone with such... gorgeous hair." he kept on rambling and I am fairly annoyed. "Okay, that's it. Thank you for your compliments- But, I think we need to quicken our asses and get to the boat." I stressed and started jogging before breaking into a run and I heard Max catch up to me making me grin. "First one who gets to the boat gets to sleep in the room!" I said and Max smirked and dashed forward at an immaculate pace. Boy was I going to lose. I panted and held my knees as I raised a finger to ask for a minute, Max, however, was completely fine with only a small bead of sweat that ran down his eye- wait- eyes don't sweat- "Oh- crap- what happened?" I asked, what if he saw a villager that made him feel like- like unicorn s**t- "it's just... I never saw the ocean before... its... stunning.." I stared at him with my eyes narrowed, don't get me wrong- I am happy he got to see the ocean, but he gives off a weird vibe... "That's great and all, but we have to rush, its almost dawn, and once the villagers wake up..." I shuddered at the thought of fighting 300 people and quickly walked to the boat. "Okay, engine works!" I heard Max yell from the lower deck, "Aight! I have released the anchor!" I yelled back and Max started the boat, I turned and saw many villagers Glaring at us yelling and screaming with spears and bows, which fired at us. "s**t, Move the boat around, they might aim for the weak spots!" I yelled and Max nodded before he... DRIFTED OFF THE WATER DAMN- And soon the villagers were out of view. "That.." I started as I stared at Max "Was awesome!" I said and he smiled at me making me smile back. Contagious smile he had. I climbed down before shutting the trapdoor and saw only 2 rooms, One a kitchen, and the other a bedroom. I sighed and walked at the end of the hallway, and saw another trapdoor on the ground, I opened it and went down. "MAX! FOOD SUPPLY!" I yelled out and I heard his footsteps enter the basement, he let out a low whistle as he stared at the heaps of canned food and oil supply, as well as personal hygiene equipment. "Dang.." He whispered and looked around before speaking "We might need to share a room as-" "No! I mean- no." and he looked at me in confusion "why?" and I gaped at him "because- your boy- I- I'm girl?" he stared at me and tilted his head to the side like a lost puppy "So?" he said and I was like a fish out of water. I blinked at him and sat on the bed, now in some robes, he was already lying down and patted the spot next to him making me feel a way I have never felt before. embarrassed. I sighed and lied next to him under the soft blankets. Though the villagers were old, they kept this boat modern and in top shape, atleast, that's what I heard them say. I woke up and headed straight to the basement, I pulled out my nunchakus, which were used to put fences but I used them for fighting. I started doing a couple of figure eights before I swung it around my body. I never used it on the villagers, as I did not wish to be charged for murder. Once done, I went into the kitchen and saw things I never saw before- like a block of metal with some... weird looking handles on them, I glared at it before cautiously moving towards it, I grabbed the handle and pulled it open revealing.... food? I felt a gust of cold air hit me and I stared at it in awe, "that's a fridge." I heard Max's voice behind me and I turned around to see him wearing strange clothes "what are you wearing?" I asked quizzed, instead of usual robes he was wearing a strange shirt with buttons, and- some weird trousers... "oh, I used to go on this boat, and this is what we call a blouse and these are pants also known as denim pants." I sucked in the knowledge and looked down at my long skirt and torn dress, he grinned and tossed a pair of the same clothes to me "change into them, and here." he tossed a pair of underwear and I blinked, when I looked up he was gone. The thing called blouse was very comfy, and the thing called denim was very easy to move in, and the undergarments were perfect... A bit too perfect... I walked onto deck and saw him mark spots on the map, "Hey, Where are we going?" I said and he turned to meet me and his jaw dropped making him look pretty shocked "You look beautiful!" I smiled and replied "you too." I then asked again "where are we going?" he gave a smile before saying without a stutter "Middle east." I blinked at him. "We have a higher chance of survival in the forest or ocean!" he shook his head "I need to get something from there. And then we can go to the forest. they have nice oil And we need petrol." bullshit, we have a whole lifetime of petrol, he was lying and hiding something, and I don't want to wait to find out. I want a peaceful life now, away from all this drama. I woke up to the sound of seagulls and a hard wood floor, I must've slept on the top deck- wait- seagulls? That meant land was near... It has been a couple of months on ocean and I finally heard a bird, and I am very tempted to shoot it and eat it, but I had to bite back the urge, I turned and took a good look at Max who was standing and staring through the steering and glaring at the ports "We should stay a large distance away, I don't want legal issues to appear ya'know?" Max said and I nodded giving a small smile Okay, so he will be the one to get supplies, he seems to know his way around the lands so that means I can leave him right here and he should be fine. Now, before you come at me for being cold and heartless, I'll let you know that I have to take care of myself, Max knows what's up so he'll be fine on his own, I don't trust him so this must be done, he... has a strange vibe and I learned that word from him himself. Hm. Too much hmmm; anyways, once he leaves I drive the boat away and live on the ocean for the rest of my life, and rob some boats for supplies like a pirate! Great idea, more than likely to fail, but I can try! "See ya, I'll make some dinner for you once you come back." "Mhm, But, remember, I will have you work as well; I can't leave you alone in the boat in the middle of the ocean." Ouch. I felt bad for him and insulted at the same time. "I'll be fine, take your time." I gave a smile and a wave. And he gave a strange look before turning away from me and walking away towards the inflatable boat, he hopped onto the boat before giving me one last look and started rowing away making me sigh in relief. Okay, Brown chocolate cookie is out of sight, I placed some cash and food and other supplies for him so he won't be completely lost in this cold world. I started the boat and drove away "Wohoo! Free world! I am a Pirate!!!" I yelled with glee and jumped up and down with a large smile on my face; "What a s**t plan." "HOLY SHI-" I shrieked before turning and seeing something impossible, Max was standing in-front of me with not even a drop of water on him, I gasped and pulled out my nunchakus and took a stance making him scan me up and down with his arms crossed before he burst into laughter, I blinked at him in confusion as he continued laughing making me narrow my eyes at him, after a while he stopped and wiped his eyes letting out a few giggles; "That's very cute." he said with a smirk and that was when I knew that the person standing before me wasn't Max anymore, firstly because his demeanor changed and his har got darker in a deep shade of brown and his eyes were a lush dark green making me gulp before lowering my weapon "How, who and most importantly why?" I asked making him smiled before taking a large stride towards me making me take a step forward along with him, I stared right into his eyes and gave a hard glare, he merely had a calm smile and wide posture, his whole stance screamed intimidation making me smirk back "I come from Astillas and am here to get back the next queen, which is you, Timekeeper, please come with me, the portal shall open in a couple of moments." I laughed at him making him glare at me I held my stomach before looking dead into his eyes "Please, save me the jokes, how did you manage to do that, come here all the way to the boat when I clearly left you at the country thing." he rolled his eyes before jumping and... wait. hold up... is he... "Flying?!?!?" I yelled out and jumped back as he was floating in the air effortlessly making me blink a couple times before sighing "Aight, where is this timekeeper, I'll take you to her, she in Aussie?" I said with my hands raised to show I'm innocent. he sighed before pinching his brow "God, do you think I need your boat? I can fly." he said and I let out an ooh before asking "then why do you need me? To t*****e me? Sure, I have no plans in life. I have no one to miss me, I have no home to return to, I have nothing precious that I own. I have nothing. So you can kill me, t*****e me, do what you want. I won't crack." I said with a solid glare, he groaned "why do you think I was in the village when I had powers?" I sighed. "Because you love pain. You psycho." He grabbed my neck but I already had a knife behind his back, hovering directly above his heart making him grin "Not bad. Timekeeper." "Wait- Wha? I am- bro- huh?" I couldn't quite understand what was going on. "Look, man," I sighed "I don't want to be a queen or bullshit, all I want is an average life with no problems, that's it." I said before pushing the knife into his back to prick his skin, he let me go and I gave him a hard kick making him fall into the ocean with a wide open mouth and a look I knew damn well. Betrayal. But boy did I give a s**t? Nope. Not even the smallest or ounce of care in the world, I cranked the engine up while he was still in shock before speeding away making me grin once more "NO PORTAL FOR THIS HUMAN! I AIN'T LIVING IN CHAINS AGAIN! RULE A WORLD? NUH UH! I'M FREE! WOHOO!" My parade stopped once I felt arms wrap around me and pull me away from the wheel, I then started getting lifted off the ground and soon was in the sky, I frowned before turning and seeing Max glaring at me "We will be going to the middle eastern desert where we will find the portal, we have only got 3 days left." he said and a I saw the way he was chewing on his lips as a stressed look crossed his face making me sigh, I'll escape once I get to this Astillas place. I groaned and asked "when will we get there?" he merely laughed at me and replied "5 more hours relax." we were currently flying through air and defying gravity, and oh did it feel awesome, it felt like... you were in a rollercoaster ride, but instead of feeing fear and the belt, you felt air and wind, you would feel free! Even better than being a pirate and sailing the free ocean, it was just one word and that was free, which was something I loved. 5 hours passed and now the clouds slowly cleared, and then I saw a tree which was definitely the most gorgeous tree in the world, and it was in the middle of the dry land, it was an oasis, a very beautiful one, it made me want to jump in without a care in the world, however the peace was ruined by the chilling sound of a blade scraping against the bark of the magnificent tree, I gulped and turned to Max and asked him softly "who is that?" he blinked before rolling his eyes "That's Andrew, seems like he was awaiting my return.." he muttered before diving down into the oasis, I saw the land near closer and closer before he stopped and I hopped off his back, Andrew; who had nice fluffy black hair and red eyes, seemed to be in a trance. "Is that Aion?" He asked and I frowned in confusion "No, she is the daughter of her majesty." Max replied and I absorbed the information, my moms name is Aion. Hm. Andrew immediately lit up, and the fear of his blade completely vanished from my brain, he dashed towards me and gawked at me as I laughed at his silliness, "Hello! Nice to meet you! I'm Andrew, and I'm sure you met my partner; Max!" I chuckled and shook his hand "And I am Azimuth, pleasure to meet you." he then had a large grin on his face and I laughed as he then started rambling on about how awesome it was to meet me in-person. That felt nice to be talked about in a good way... "Okay, time is not on our hands, we need to find the portal, Andrew, I hope you found it as you were tasked to?" Max said with narrowed eyes and pursed lips, he gave a stern glare to Andrew who smiled nervously "I had it down- But I just- ya'know- fell asleep then woke up and forgot about it?" he asked and I laughed at him, Max then growled "I promise you Andrew, if we have to fly to Astillas by a spaceship... Just. You. Wait." Andrew gulped and Max immediately jumped away and into a separate part of the island making Andrew sigh, "Okay, the portal looks like a gold and diamond door, hard to miss- please find it or else Max will have my head..." Andrew begged and I nodded before walking towards the tree of wisdom- I just made that up- but like, a pretty tree. t'has been... How long I forgot, we have yet to find the diamond door, it's such a small oasis- so like- why is it so hard to find that like- bruh! "It seems like we have run out of time in 3... 2... 1." Max muttered before flopping onto the sand he turned to Andrew, who flinched back at his cold stare "I'm calling the spaceship to pick us up. Your suspended from duties until further notice." Max said and glared at Andrew who groaned "Fine. When will the spaceship arrive?" he asked with a pout. "It will arrive in a few seconds."
