I.
"It's been a while since I visited you, hmm?" Alora said while admiring her partner in crime and first love.
Jair Severns February 1999-December 2017. She placed the bouquet of white roses in front of the grave stone.
"I missed you, Jair. I have been busy with college so I'm sorry if I didn't visit you that often this past few months. I will graduate next week! Are you proud of me?" Alora felt a gush of wind and laughed.
She would lie if she says that she didn’t get goosebumps from that.
"You would've also graduated next week… If you didn't leave me." Tears started streaming down her face while she touched his grave stone gently.
"Why? Why did u leave so sudden, my love? You didn’t even wait for me. You're so unfair." Alora said sobbing "We were supposed to celebrate Christmas together."
Alora calmed down and brought out the bracelet she made for the both of them back in 1st grade.
"Do you remember this, Jair?" She chuckled "You looked so lonely sitting under the tree so I approached you and gave you a bracelet that I was supposed to give to another girl."
She sat comfortably besides the grave stone while retelling their memories.
Back in 2005
"Honey, wake up! You will be late for your first day of school." Mrs. Venard screamed to wake her daughter up from her deep slumber.
Little Alora excitedly got up from her bed and rushed to the bathroom to change her clothes and take a bath.
"Good morning, mom!" She excitedly chirped.
"Hi my little girl! Are you excited for your first day?" Mrs. Venard said while tying her daughter's amber hair.
"Yes, mommy! I'm excited to make friends and meet my teacher!" Alora said while eating the breakfast her mom made for her.
"Is my girl ready?" Her father asked while trying to tie his neck tie.
"Daddy!" Alora shouted. She immediately gulped down her pancakes and ran towards her dad.
"You guys should get going now or you will be late." Her mother uttered.
Alora got her bag and checked if her bead bracelets were there. She was planning to give it to the friend/s she will make that day.
She then went outside with her father to go to their car and head to school.
"Be careful on the road, okay?" Mrs. Venard said as she kissed them and waved goodbye.
"Bye mom, I love you!" Alora said as they hit the road.
Few moments later
Her father dropped her off at the gate and bid her goodbye "Be good at school, okay? I love you baby"
"Yes papa! I love you too." she sent her dad a flying kiss and went inside the school.
Alora sat in the front besides a girl with pig-tales. And talked to her.
"Hey! My name's Alora. What about you? What's your name?"
"Oh, um. I'm Luna!"
"Hello, Luna! Do you want to be my friend?"
"Sure!"
"Here take this. I made this bracelet!" Alora said as she handed a purple bracelet to her new friend.
"This looks so pretty! Thank you so much." Luna said as she looked at her bracelet with awe and wore it.
Alora looked around the room and she noticed a boy alone in the corner of the room, sketching something on his paper.
Alora was about to approach the boy but her teacher entered.
"Good morning, class! I'm Ms. Evans and I will be your adviser for this year."
Few moments passed
Alora and Luna went outside to play and eat their lunch.
They sat on a table and started taking out their lunch boxes but someone caught Alora's eyes.
It was the boy who was sitting at the very back of the class. He was sitting under a tree while coloring something in his lap.
"Is it okay if you eat alone today?" Alora asked Luna.
"Uh yeah! I will just eat with the others" Luna smiled at Alora.
"Okay! Enjoy your lunch." Alora said and started walking towards the boy.
"Hey! What are you doing? Aren't you going to eat? What's your name?" Alora asked with enthusiasm in her voice but the boy just ignored her.
"Oh, you don't want to talk? I'm Alora! I would like to sit besides you and eat lunch." Alora said as she started setting her food up.
It was silent as she ate and he colored.
Alora started humming then, "Why are you here? Why aren't you with the others?" the boy asked.
"You seemed lonely so I wanted to accompany you here. I would also want to be friends with you!"
"My name is Jair" that was all he said and then went back to coloring.
"I like your name! Here wear this, I made this bracelet." She said as she handed him a green bracelet.
"Green is my favorite color." Jair said.
"That's great!" Alora exclaimed and started eating while chatting him.
That day was the start of it all.
