Met you in time

"Dad, why have you gone?" I whispered while having my nightly stroll. Today is my father's funeral. He passed away. The reason? Well, I don't really know, mother continues to block my words, even the door to the bedroom. I wonder- did she notice I was gone? I mean she doesn't come out of her room, bet she forgot she had a daughter. Hi, my name is Angel. According to my parents, I was named this way because I gave light the day I was born. Now that my dad is gone, this light lost its flames. So here am I wondering in the forest near our home. Anyway, aside from losing a dad, I also discovered a cave recently and I thought it would be a great place to mourn for a while. As I traveled deeper and deeper into the cave, I saw a light and, out of curiosity, of course, I followed it. I mean who wouldn't, right?... It led me to a large pond within the cave, so I decided to maybe take a tiny dip into the water... *Splash* "MY PENDANT!" I screamed. I swam as fast as I could to regain my lost pendant. But... The faster I moved, the faster I drowned. PAUSE! Now your probably wondering why I was so desperate for that pendant- right? Well, to me, it's something really REALLY IMPORTANT to me, especially today. It's a present from my father. It's something he'd gotten from his previous travels. The journey before he died. "MADAME!" "ARE YOU OK?!" a voice. I heard an unfamiliar one too.. it was some guy's voice too. A few moments later, I finally gained the energy to open my eyes once more-- "AHHH! WTF! Who are you!? WHY ARE you HERE?! And why are you-- IS THAT MY CLOTHES YOU'RE FOLDING?" and so obviously, I had to look down to confirm everything and then it struck me- I glared directly at him-- "What an absolutely filthy thought you have there, don't you think?" he calmly explained. "Well you have one filt-" He then cuts me off with "Darling- I had someone else change your attire." "Evelaign!" he shouted. A fair lady then appeared through the room's door. She had long strawberry blond hair, eyes in the shade of emeralds and lips as red as roses. "Meet my fiance-- Evelaign, I had her change your attire, so I would appreciate it more if you started acting less-- what's the word? ahh reactive." "Oh enough of that Philp- she just woke up, OK? Don't be too harsh on her." his fiance then had such a sweet tone. "Come along dear, dinner is ready. You must have starved during your long rest" Long? what does she mean by long-- and so I asked "Long? long in what way?" She then responded with a confused look, " What ever do you mean dear?" Oh shoot, completely forgot that I'm in some kind of old timeplace thingy. "oh pardon me for my words, what I mean't was, how long was my rest exactly?-- oh and also what year is it? if you don't mind me asking" good thing I listened well on my extra subject my mom gave me called old english, I finally have the use for it. "You see, dear, you have slept 7 days straight-- and" "You mean I slept for a whole week?!" "Well, yes, exactly-- also it's about the year 1400" Holy-- 1400?! So that's why somehow a lot of things seem so ethereal. Speaking of ethereal-- do fairies exist here? "MA--" Suddenly a new stranger appeared, he seemed to be Ms. Evelaign's son? "Oh never mind ma, I found it- anyway, I'll go now." "Wait- Wait" Ms. Evelaign exclaimed. "Don't go yet, where are your manners young man? care to even meet our visitor? Edward meet-- umm- what's your name again dear?" "My name? My name is Angel Madame." I responded with a smile. "Pardon me ma, I didn't quite see we had a visitor. The evening is quite fine, don't you think?" he then came a bit closer to my ear, whispering " just like you " Hayss, I just got here, but I've already met one of those flirty males again. It turns out they have existed since the year 1400 or maybe earlier than that-- Another man then entered the scene, a man with short fixed black hair, green eyes and skin that was pale, probably like a male version of snow white, but you know with green eyes? "Mother, I'll be going now. Have a fine evening dear visitor", his voice sounds so familiar. Where have I heard that same soothing voice again? He's probably- OH IT'S THE GUY THAT SAVED ME FROM DROWNING-- oh I need to that him "HEY-- I MEAN, sir umm" "Liam" he responded "Sir Liam, I'd like to thank you for saving me back there" "No worries Angel, my only concern is that you are safe" With that, he left the room and headed towards the house's exit. "Madame Evelaign, where is Sir Liam going?" I asked in curiosity. "Oh you see, Liam is the head of the protection services in our land, which is probably why he found you, right now he'd be off to his daily checking of the lands safety" So Liam is basically like a police here..
