Thirty seconds. Jess could feel sweat on his palms. He was glad the entire operation would be controlled through his mind rather than his hands. He reached out to the Wanderer, meshing as closely with it as he could. Ali would be linked but this was so delicate it could only be handled by him. He had the Wanderer start mapping out jump space around them, trying to find any patches which were slightly more stable. That would be the key to the operation, and that was why the timeline was only rough. Getting out of, and back into, jump space without destroying the Wanderer and the whole of Dash’s fleet were much more important than placing the detonator in an exact position.
