"About damn time!" old Neil exclaimed as Nathan announced he was free to go. Catharine and I had kept him company while Shane and Nathan got him discharged. He was eager to leave, almost pushing his grandsons out of the way as he left the room. Catharine was shaking her head and quietly muttering curses at her father, asking God to give her strength to survive his stubbornness. I couldn’t help but chuckle a little as I left the room last.
