I wasn’t really angry. Well, that was partially true—I was kind of upset, but I also knew Megan wasn’t unfaithful. She insisted it was nothing more than a friendly kiss, and I trusted her. However, that didn’t mean I didn’t have the urge to punch this guy Luke in the face and ensure Megan understood not to repeat such actions. She needed to recognize that things had truly changed. She was solely mine to kiss now and to reprimand.
“Sorry, but what does that prove?” she questioned.
“Just do it,” I replied. “If you’re truly remorseful.”
She regarded me with suspicion, then glanced back at the bed. Although she could see it from where she stood, she hesitated. Instead of complying, she crossed her arms.
