chapter 14

June 1st, 2009

Dear diary, its been a few days since the newborn army and guess what else as well, its summer and I have nothing to worry about, well school wise. I'm done with school until I want to go to college at least. My father wants me to go and be the 1st wolf, member of the our tribe, to actually go to college. But I don't know just yet.

Jacob's somewhat healed, the doctor had to re break him a few times to get his bones back into place. I was there durning one of them, I had to hold him down while Carlisle done it. Billy's face was priceless, he looked like he was gonna get sick or stuck from the way he had it.

Bella's been over a busy once, matter of fact it was the same day that everything had happened. She kinda told her goodbyes to him that same night as well. She was about to become one of them and I was happy for her but almost hurt as well.

In a few days, Paul and I are traveling to my home town; Mystic Falls, Virginia; home of the balls, the festivals, and etc, meaning the crazy supernatural stuff that is always happening like here in Forks, Washington.

Well I'm off here for the night, I know its been awhile since I've wrote in here. I actually found you again while I was packing my stuff and came across you. Yes, I've read some of my entrees and cried myself to asleep the other night when I saw the one about me and my mom fighting during the summer, a lot. It was a few years ago, my counselor from school thought I should write down what I feel.

Once Heather closed her journal, she put it back in her bag with some more of her stuff. Stefan and Damon had went back home to get their cars and brought her car back so she could drive it back with some of their stuff. Thanks to the brothers helping with their cars because Heather and Paul had a lot of stuff that they were bringing. Because who knows how long they were gonna be staying.

Sam was upset about them leaving but he got why Paul was going, for his sakes and Heather's. He was afraid for his imprint that something would happen if they were split up. It was actually Ira's idea that Paul would go with her, to make sure she was safe from anything. And if the originals came back, there were extra hands to help.

As the four was loading up their trucks and back seats, it was little after 3pm and they were done. When Heather closed her truck and Damon done his, Heather blew out the breath that she was holding. She turned around and looked at her Father's place. Looking around her 2nd home, what she's gonna miss. Emily came over with the pack to say good bye and Bella had called her. She said she couldn't come over that she was with Alice in Port Angeles doing god who knows what.

Jacob came out of his house, still in an arm cast to say goodbye that he'll miss them, but mostly Heather. Leah grabbed ahold of her friend and gave her the biggest hug ever and started to tear up. Seth made a little joke, that since she was gonna be gone for awhile, that he gets her place. They all just laughed and wished them all the best of luck in traveling.

Once Stefan and Damon got in their car, Heather and Paul done the same. Heather was following Damon since she didn't really know how to get back home from here. The last time, she was in her wolf form and she just smelled her way through and read signs.

When she waved everyone goodbye, she had looked at her imprint. She had smiled at him to see if he would change his mind and all he done was grabbed her hand, squeeze it a little, then leaned over to kiss her on the lips.

"Let's get this show on the road!" Heather had yelled out the window at the same time she honked her horn to tell the brothers let's go. As they started to head forward she looked back at Paul and asked again. "Are you sure, because once I'm away from this place, there's no turning back now."

"Yes, I am sure. Wherever your at, I'm there for you no matter what."

"Even if it gets us killed?"

"Even if it gets us killed."

She smiled at him then looked forward.

She got in front of the brothers for a moment to head by places. She drove passed Charlie and Bella's place, the cruiser was there so she had honked a few times, she went passed the diner that she's gone with Charlie and Bella and saw some other friends. She honked at them and waved when they looked, of course they waved back. Then drove passed the school to get one last look of it. She pulled over for a second then got out of the car and leaned over to get a better view. The brothers pulled up beside her and Stefan leaned out to talk.

"Are you okay, kid?" He had asked.

"I don't know. This has always been my home away from home. I always wanted to come back here once I left with my mother. We would fight, just so I can come here but she never gave in til now." Heather had said. "Now that she's gone, I'm heading back home where she's no longer even at."

"Things should get better later on. Do you want Paul to drive?" Stefan asked.

"No, I'm good. Just taking it all in, because when is the next time I'm gonna come back here? A few weeks to a month, 6 months to a year?" She has brought up.

"I don't know kid, but let's go before we hit traffic." Damon hollered from the driver side.

"You got it boss." Heather said looking behind her then jumped back into her car and they were off.

It took they a day and some hours, even though they left in the evening time, they did hit some traffic but once rush hour was over, it was no shopping from there. They stopped twice to fill up on gas, snacks, drinks, and of course bathroom breaks. After that, they didn't stop for s**t not until they got to Indiana to fill up once more.

It was still night time when they were there, but they were in the middle of Indiana, Indianapolis to be exact. Home of the Colts and Pacers and so on.

Paul and Stefan took over driving for Heather and Damon. They were getting tried well at least Heather was. She's never drove non stop, straight through before. And Damon just wanted to rest his eyes for the hell of it.

Once they got back on the road, they didn't stop again until they finally made it home to their house. Paul woke up Heather when he was pulling up to the board house and the sun was just coming up. Heather sat up and smiled. When they stopped, she got out the car and stretched her limbs some then opened up her trunk. She grabbed some of her bags and made her way in. When she got to the door, she was stopped. Paul looked at her from inside the door way all confused.

"What the hell?" She had hollered.

"What's going on?" Paul has asked.

"s**t, I forgot you have been here since we changed the owner of the house." Stefan said coming up from the car with our stuff.

"Why can't I come in?"

"We had Bonnie put a spell on it and had Alaric become owner of it because of Elena not being herself." Damon had said when he came inside.

"What?" Paul and Heather had said. "But she was allowed in places back in Washington." Paul had added.

"Yes, but since she became a vampire, we had changed ownership. She wasn't here when we did it." Damon said. "I'll go wake up Ric, he's staying here as well. He can teach y'all some more stuff on how kill our kind of creatures." Damon said as he walked away.

While Damon was off in the house going to fetch Ric; Stefan, Paul, and Heather carried their stuff to the door. Well Heather did while the boys carried it inside. Once they were unloaded, Ric came walking up to the front door as Heather was leaning against her car. Stefan was showing Paul around the house a little.

"Heather, so nice to see you."

"Alaric!" She ran to the door but got stopped once again. "Damnit, mind fixing this?"

"Heather, your welcome to my home." Ric said to her then she walked through without anything stopping her.

She hugged Ric like she hasn't seen him in ages, well she hasn't. Last time she saw him was when her mother and aunt Jenna was murdered by Klaus.

"How was the drive?" Ric asked her.

"Long and tiring. But hey we made it." Heather had said.

"Yeah, it always is. Your mother told me when she had left your father that it killed her as well. She wished she had flew here like you had there."

"Yep, mom was never for long drives. That's why she was glad I got my drivers license." Heather said laughing.

"Well kid, I'll show you to your room then." Ric told Heather. "Stefan and Damon said that they're giving you the biggest room in the house, why is that?" He had asked.

"Oh they are?" She asked. "Probably because all my stuff or because I brought my boyfriend." She said pointing to Stefan and Paul walking their way towards them.

"Little of both." Stefan answered their questions. "I gave up my old room which is the biggest room of all other than Damon's. I used to love it when I first came here because it had a roof access." Stefan said. "When our nephew was alive,"

"Nephew? You had a sister?" Heather asked.

"Well no, he was our half brother but because of the huge age difference we just called him our nephew, but anyways when I was living here and he was human by the way. And me a vampire, I would sneak out to go on hunters to feed and come back in without him knowing." Stefan had said.

As they talked, they finally got to Stefan's room that was naked. Barley anything in there. Other than a bed and a few dressers.

"Well this is it. Bathroom is right there, its got everything and it all new as well. I've broke the old bathroom awhile back. I took everything that was mine out and put into my room which is down the hall to your left. Damon's down the hall turn to your right to the other hall and its on your right at the end." Stefan said.

"Thanks guys, really. I could be staying at my old house since its still mine." Heather said.

"Yeah, well we knew it would be too much on you. Especially since your humanity is back." Stefan said.

"Wait you knew they were back?" The young girl asked.

"Yeah, I saw the look on your face when Jacob got attacked. I just never said anything." The brother had said to the young girl.

"So that's why you've been all lovey dovey with me since the battle." The wolf boy had questioned.

All Heather could do was blush and nods her head. Ric just chuckled at them before patting her back then walking away. As he got to the stairs he had stopped and looked back at them.

"You two love birds hungry?"

"Yes, please. And make a lot because we wolves eat a lot." The young girl told her buddy.

"Oh I know, I was warned." He had said as he looked at Stefan. Which made Heather look back at him as well.

"Well, I'll leave you two to it." Stefan said as he walked out of the room.

All Heather done was shook her head and laughed a little.

As she looked around the room, she saw that she would need more dressers for them since the one wouldn't work. But when she walked over to the closet, she saw how big it was and was in awed. It was huge, it looked like a full size bed could fit in there or even a queen size bed.

As she was done looking around, Paul had already brought up some of their stuff into the bedroom. When she saw that, she smiled a little at him then went to work with their clothes. Since she had more, she took the closet over and put all of Paul's clothes into dresser. Which Paul didn't mind at all since he didn't have much clothes.

When Heather had said he didn't have much, she would have to go out and buy some for him, especially since were here. She knows that they won't need the clothes but its a force of habit so people won't look at them weird and especially if they shift and rip they clothes.

As Heather was about done, Paul had just brought up the last of it and brought a friend along with him. It was more of a surprise for his girlfriend and boy she was surprised.

"Hey babe, is there anything special you want left out?" She has asked him as she walked out of the closet.

That's when she saw who was in her room sitting on the bed while Paul was putting his clothes in the dresser. When Heather saw it was Bonnie, she had screamed and jumped onto Bonnie, making her scream as well.

"Omg, I can't believe your back for good!" Bonnie had yelled out.

"Me too!" The young girl yelled out as well.

With both of them screaming, the brothers and Ric came up running into her room. Ric had a cross bow and was ready to shoot. The girls and Paul looked at them then the girls laughed.

"God damnit girls," Ric had cussed.

"Y'all know better not to do that." Damon said.

"Sorry not sorry." The girls said then laughed.

"I need a drink now, fuck." Damon had said.

"Its only 8am." Paul had said.

"With Damon, he don't care what time it is. Its 5 o'clock somewhere." Stefan said then walked out.

"Well breakfast is done so come eat." Ric told them.

They nodded then came down. While eating Bonnie and Heather caught up about everything especially due with Jeremy and Elena. She asked how Matt was and Bonnie said that he's still working at the grill and Tyler is the same ole Tyler again.

Caroline was dealing with the lost of her mother as well with the help of Matt and the rest of the gang. Bonnie brought up that Stefan tried to save her with his blood but it didn't quite work for some reason. And just the lost of sheriff the town hasn't been the same really. Heather felt bad for Caroline really. She's been there and Heather knew how help her friend.

Heather brought up what went down in Forks that she kicked ass in a vampire battle with along the side the brothers, Cullen's, and the wolves. Even when Jacob got hurt at the end where the vampire doctor had to re break his bones a few times. And on top of that, she met some bad people that the Cullen's wished she never would met but she did.

"Wait that killed that poor girl even though the Cullen's were gonna raise her as one of their own?" Bonnie asked.

"Yep, I..." Heather said then paused for a second. "It was horrible, it was like watching; "Saw" in person. I was scared for myself. Damon held me in his arm while all I could hear was that poor little girl scream for help."

"Are you sure that wasn't what helped kicked your humanity back on?" Damon asked.

"You what?" Bonnie and Ric yelled.

"Please tell me he's joking, right?" Bonnie asked.

"I wish he was, but no he's not. She turned them off, after Damon and Stefan told her about Jeremy and Elena." Paul told the witch girl.

"It was only off for what a few days and it was only half of my humanity not all." The young girl said.

After they talked about what she did and done, Bonnie told her to never do something like that ever again. And she had agreed she wouldn't.

After a few hours, everything was put up where Heather wanted it and Paul just let her do it. He knew she needed something to distract her and that was the closest thing she could do for now.
