Chapter 13

As Heather and Paul spent some time together until it was time for the battle. They had a few days til it all started but she had a feeling it wouldn't go so good. Paul saw she was uneasy with it all. He tried everything he could just to get her mind off of the battle. But nothing was working until he had took her phone and called the one person he would probably never would have called.

He had called Stefan.

As Stefan was talking to Damon And Bonnie about Elena turning off her humanity and running off who knows where, when his phone started ringing.

"Hey Heather I can't talk right now." Stefan answered the phone.

"Its not Heather, its Paul."

"Hey, what's up is Heather okay?" Stefan asked as he looked at Damon and Bonnie.

"Define okay?" Paul said at first then went on. "She's a wreck right now about this battle in a few days. She might need you and Damon to come down and help us with it."

"Paul, we have a little situation here ourselves." Damon said.

"Damon, Heather is our friend as well, we'll find Elena when we can, go. I have it covered here with Caroline and Ric." Bonnie had told them.

The brothers nodded their heads then looked at each other before they spoke to Paul. "We'll be there in a few." They said together.

"Y'all driving or running?"

"Running, if we drove we be there too late." Damon had said.

"We'll see you Paul, don't tell her we're coming just yet."

"I won't." Paul said then they hung up.

The brothers didn't want to leave but they had no choice. They had to be there for their friend and especially when they tell their friend that Jeremy is dead and Elena is missing.

The brothers made a plan with Bonnie and Ric about if things go south with Elena around here, call them asap, they didn't care. Ric nodded his head and told them to go be with Heather and send her his love.

Later that night, Heather was outside walking around, trying to get her head straight. But that wasn't even working, so she went on a little hunt That was a few yards away from the pack.

After she had a few deer's and a few rabbits, she started to head home. As she has walked in front of her house, she was attacked from the back. She was tackled a few feet from her front door landing by a tree that was half way fallen, where she just made it fall the rest of the way. Once you heard the crash around the area, Paul and Ira had came out running out of the house to check out what that noise was.

Then all you heard was growling echoing in the woods, which made Paul and Ira shift. Ira hadn't shift in a very long time but he wasn't gonna let Paul go alone. When they got there where they heard the growling, all you saw was Heather growling at the ground until they got to her and see she was growling at Damon. Knowing Damon being the jackass to do something like that, Heather wasn't acknowledging what was going on until Stefan had came over and tried to push her off of Damon before she had killed him and then she would regret.

"Heather, its Damon! Don't kill him!"

"Babe stop!" Paul has yelled in their mind.

When it clicked in, she had saw who it was then backed off right away. She growled once again then laid on the ground under Paul. Stefan helped his brother then walked over to Heather and Paul. Ira had shifted behind a tree and put on pants before walking back over.

"What are you two doing here?" Ira had asked them.

"We was called to come over and help out our little friend." Damon had said looking at Heather. "Your lucky your my friend or I would have killed you. All I had to do was reach my hand into your pretty little chest and rip out your beating heart." Damon told Heather.

Heather whined a little then shifted under Paul making the brother's and her father look the other way.

"Well I'm sorry don't charge at someone like that. Especially me right now." She had said.

"Go get dressed so we can talk." Damon had stated. "We have something to tell you."

"Damon, no not right now." Stefan said looking at his brother.

"Hello brother, she has a right to know. It was her ex." Damon said making Heather look at both of them then she felt like something bad was about to be said.

"What are you talking about, what's wrong with Jeremy?" I had asked.

"Go get dressed, kid." Damon told her.

"Just tell me now!" She yelled at him.

"Fine, here it is. Jeremy is dead!" Damon yelled at her.

Just then her world was shattered into a million pieces all over again. It felt like her world was falling apart, that everything in her life is going to hell, that she didn't know what to do.

As Heather was standing there staring at the brothers, her father had ran into them ran back with a blanket and covered her up. Paul shifted and put on the pants that Ira had brought as well and stood in front of Heather's face to get her attention.

"Damnit Damon, this wasn't how I wanted to tell her. Now shes in shocked." Stefan said as he walked over to Heather and snapped his fingers in her face.

"Let's get her inside the house." Ira had said.

The boys had nodded and Paul had picked up his imprint and carried her up to the couch. As he was doing so, her father had went up to her room and grabbed her a loose night grown or even a dress and brought it down stairs. He handed it to Paul and he put it on her as she was frozen in place.

They all didn't know what to do, with her. The. It's thought she was gonna do what Elena had done, turning off her humanity. They kept their fingers crossed.

"And Elena is gone." Damon said out of no where after he grabbed a beer out of the fridge.

They expected Heather to have answered but she didn't. It was the father that answered.

"What do you mean Elena is missing?" Ira asked.

"Well once she saw that Jeremy was really dead she was flipping s**t. She was losing her mind. She asked us to bring him downstairs in the living room, so we did." Damon said.

"Once we bought him down, she started pouring fuel all over the place and I asked someone to talk to her but he done the opposite. He told her to turn it off." Stefan said looking at his brother.

"I thought it would help her, she's lost so much. Her parents, her aunt, now her brother." Damon had said. "What else was I supposed to do, I'm not one to talk to about feelings. I am sorry that I told her to turn it off, I am sorry that she did what I had said, she don't usually listen to me."

"Well your her sire, your the one that turned her. Of course she would literally listen to you." Stefan said.

"Wait what?" Paul had said.

"I fed Elena my blood and when she turned, whatever I had said she would do. She fell in love with me as well." Damon said.

"You fed Heather your blood and she was turned. What if you talk to her and she snaps out of it." Paul had brought up.

"Maybe," Damon has said then walked over to Heather who was sitting on the couch with her eyes closed now.

He was a little worried when her eyes were open. He had hoped, she didn't do what Elena had done. I mean was she listening to them, while she was in shocked?

"Heather, dear. I want you to listen to me, I know you've been through a lot. But were doing our best to bring back your best friend and Bonnie is trying to find a spell to bring back the dead. Even though Jeremy was your ex, he was your friend as well. So, please open your eyes and look at me." Damon told her.

After a few moments, Heather had took a deep breath then her eyes snapped open. All you saw was her pupils dilating from big to small back to big. Heathers face was all calm like she didn't give a damn about the world right now. But all she wanted was to kill and that was her game plane.

"Guys, we might have a problem." Damon had said getting everyone's attention.

"What do you mean?" Paul and Ira asked.

"I think she done it." Damon had said.

"Done what?" Paul asked.

"Damon don't kid, she didn't do it." Stefan said then looked at her. "s**t, she did." He said then Paul pushed them away from her.

"Babe, look at me." Paul said and Heather did what he asked. "Please tell me you didn't do what I think you did, did you?"

"What turned it off, yes. I'm tired of feeling. I've heard everything y'all had said and I agree with what Elena had done. She lost her whole world and so have I. But I haven't lost all of me, I still feel me just half of me is gone." Heather had said.

"That's kinda good," Damon said.

"How is that?" Ira asked.

"Because she's half wolf, shapeshifter. So she has half of her humanity. We'll find away for her to get it back and when that time happens, Paul you just have to be there for her."

"I'll do what I have to do." Paul has said.

"Okay, now that part is our of the way, why did you call us here?" Damon asked.

"The battle with the newborns is in two days. We've all been updated on how to kill them and since Heather is a hybrid, I thought she would need y'all to help guide her for a fight she's never been in sorta." Paul told the brothers.

"We'll help what all means. Maybe me and my brother should head over to the Cullen's and talk to them. Heather are you good?"

"Yes, I think I am." She said then looked at Paul. "Babe, help me to my room. I still feel numb, I just want to sleep."

"Okay, come on." He told her as he put his arms under her and carried her up to her room.

"Boys, you can use the spare room upstairs if you want. It's late and I have to get to work tomorrow then head out with Billy and Charlie fishing. Bella wants Charlie out of town just in case this goes south." The elder had told the brother.

The just nodded then head outside. Damon looked at Stefan and was asking where the Cullen's lived and Stefan told him to follow and keep up. Damon never been to their house and once they got there, he was in awe of how the house had looked.

When they stepped up the stairs to knock, Carlisle had opened the door, guessing Edward had told them they were there or he had heard them.

"Stefan, Damon, what are you two doing here?" the dr has asked.

"Well, we heard there was a battle going on and that we were here to join." Damon had said as they all walked up to the living room.

"Yes, a battle of newborns that are after Bella. We're all gonna leave in the morning to go hunt all day, to make sure were all ready then head out to the clearing that they're going to be at." The dr told them.

"Stefan!?" Alice had called out. "God, I've missed you. Glad your back." Alice said hugging Stefan.

"Yeah, for now."

"What's going on now?" Jasper had asked, knowing they were feeling weird a little.

"It's Elena and now Heather. They both turned it off." Damon had said. Alice gasped then looked at Jasper.

"Yea thanks to you." Stefan said.

"You mean, no feelings." Jasper asked.

"Yes and no. Well Elena nothing but Heather half of it. She's here but not here.if that makes since." Stefan had said.

They all sat around and talked. They noticed Edward wasn't here that he was with Bella for the night til morning. Then while everyone was all out and about hunting, only Bella and Edward were gonna be alone at the house.

Alice had lied to Charlie for Bella that she was gonna spend the weekend with her, Rosalie, and Esme for a girls shopping spree and Charlie said it would be great for Bella.

But only of Charlie knew what was going on. As the rest of the Cullen's and the Salvatore brothers were out hunting, well Damon and Stefan robbing blood banks a little up north of the area but once they were done, Carlisle had showed the brothers where the battle was gonna be at.

The night before the battle, edward and Bella got all set up in a tent up on the mountains, ready for the battle as Heather, Paul, and the brothers were at the house talking.

"Jacob is gonna stay with Bella and Edward for tonight while Seth takes his place in the morning. While Paul and them are gonna hide out while us are gonna be with the Cullen's." Heather had stated.

"Wait so your not gonna fight in wolf?" Damon had asked.

"No, not at first. I want to try and fight as a vampire first then if it gets too bad then Ima shift. Surprise them in the end, since the doc said they wouldn't know that us wolves exist." The young girl had said. "I just hope everything goes good. I just want to get this redheaded b***h once and for all then go and find that stupid doppelganger of a b***h and kill her for killing Jeremy and turning Elena into a nobody."

"That means you would leave me again." Paul has said.

"Nope, your coming with me. I want to show you where I grew up at. But I would need a place to stay?" Heather said looking at the boys.

"We have an extra room for you two to stay. Just keep the love making down some." Damon had said smirking at his young friend.

"The same goes both ways now." Heather said pushing her stupid ass friend.

They all laughed like good old time but even though the young hybrid has some feeling, she still feels off.

The very next morning, Heather woke up to Damon and Stefan banging at her bedroom door. Paul groan when Heather had moved out of his arms. When she saw what time it was, s**t cussed out load then hit Paul waking him up. He had growled at her then saw it was time to get up. As she speed around the room to get dressed, Paul had got up and got his pants and shoes on. Then she had opened the door.

"About time, you left your phone downstairs and Alice has been calling." Stefan said handing her phone.

"I know, I saw the time we have to be there now they'll show up in a few hours." Heather said as she tossed her phone on the bed then grabbed Paul's hand.

They all ran outside then ran to where they needed to be. The wolves were all set up, Paul didn't shift yet thanks to Heather vamping him out of the house. He just smiled at her then kissed her before she walked away.

"Be careful, I don't want to lose you." Paul told her.

"Same to you. I may not have my feelings but I still care."

"Don't have your feelings." Sam and the others have asked.

Shit, Heather cussed in her head. She didn't tell the others. "I turned them off but I got to go Paul can tell you everything." The girl said then vamped off with the brothers.

"Is that why their here? Because she turned off her feelings." Jacob asked.

"No, Jeremy is dead and Elena is off who knows where. She was in shocked and heard the brothers talking about how Elena just turned them off and when we looked back at her, she done just that." The girls imprint had said.

The others just looked at him then shook their head. Then shifted, it was close to game time and right as they did, it was game time, Seth had told the others since Edward had told him since he can hear the fight starting.

Just before the wolves took off towards the clearing, the brothers and Heather got to the Cullen's in time before they showed up.

"Their almost here, they just got on land." Alice had told Heather and the brother.

"This is gonna be an ugly fight." The doc has told the brothers.

"We've seen worse, or at least I have when I was in the war." Damon said

"But have you been in a newborn army?" Jasper asked.

Damon had shook his head then looked at the others. Until doc spoke again.

"Jasper was training actual newborn vampires before he met us and he knows everything. Just watch your very move like we told you and don't let them get their hands and arms around you." The doc had told them.

"Their coming." Alice called out.

The brothers and Heather had faced where they thought they were coming. Heather was ready for this fight. She wanted to at least kill someone for taking s**t away from her or trying to kill her friends.

As she listened in, the brothers both grabbed her hand making her look at them. They smirked at her for a second until you saw them pouring in.

As they can rushing towards them, they took off into a run and started fighting. Heather took down two of them as the brothers helped each other to rip off their heads. As the Cullen's were toying with some here comes the wolves charging in for the kill. The newborns were shocked to see them as they tried to run off but they were caught.

As Heather stopped to look around, she didn't see the red head nor the guy that Edward had mentioned awhile back. As she circled around, she felt someone close and when she turned around, 3 newborns were charging at her. She was already tired from fighting, she wasn't cut for fighting in vampire form just yet so she had shifted into her wolf form surprising them and grinned at them and killed them easy.

As she killed them, she saw it was all over and ran over to the others. Then just out of the corner of her eye, she saw Edward and Bella walking over to the Cullen's just as a vampire had came out of the tree lines. Leah had ran towards it just as Heather did. The new born threw both Leah to the ground as Jacob came charging at it and the new born got his hands on him and crushed him.

Seeing that something clicked in Heather, she screamed then started crying in her head for Jacob. Whatever it was it helped her kick up a notched and ran to that vampire and killed it easy. As she shifted, so did Jacob and the others running over to her.

As they got to him, Bella was screaming his name with the Cullen's close by.

"Damnit Jacob I had him." Leah had said.

"Enough, Leah." Sam hushed her.

"Just lucky I was there to kill it." Heather said crying.

"His left half is broken and he's started to heal. I can't do it here when the Volturi is on their way." The doc has said.

"We'll take him back to Billy's." Sam said.

"Thank you."

"Hang in there buddy, I'll be there as soon as I can." Heather had told her wolf brother.

"Your not coming?" Paul asked.

"No, I want to meet these vampire kings, just go I'll be there." She told him then kissed him.

As she ran to the trees to get her clothes on, she ran over to where the Cullen's and the brother's were at. She laid her head on Damon's shoulder and Stefan held her hand.

She looked around and saw that there was a newborn with them but she looked scared s**t less.

Just as 4 coats were walking out of the tree line, she felt sick to her stomach. She felt power like no other.

"Impressive, I’ve never seen a coven of this magnitude intact." the girl had spoke as soon as she dropped her hood.

"We were lucky." The doc had said.

"I doubt that." The woman said sounding not pleased.

"It appears we’ve missed an entertaining fight." The boy next to her has said.

"Yes, it’s not often we’re rendered unnecessary." The woman agreed with the guy next to her.

"If you’d arrived a half hour ago you would’ve fulfilled your purpose." Edward had told them.

"Pity." The girl says then sees the young female newborn vampire standing by the Cullen’s. "You missed one."

"We offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender." Carlisle had said making Heather look at her again.

Something here, was really making Heather unsteady. Just didn't really know until what Jane had done to the poor girl.

"It wasn’t yours to offer. Why did you come? Who created you?" Jane asked her then used her powers on her.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

When Heather saw what she had done, she almost dropped to her knees. The brothers had to hold her up. Damon turned her head into his chest and held her.

The mother like vampire had spoke, trying to stop Jane from inflicting pain on the young female vampire. "You don’t need to do that, she’ll tell you anything you wanna know."

"I know." Jane had said then done it again.

"I DON’T KNOW. RILEY WOULDN’T TELL US. HE SAID OUR THOUGHTS WEREN’T SAFE." Bree, the young female had screamed out.

"Her name was Victoria, perhaps you knew her." Edwards had said holding onto Bella.

"Edward, if the Volturi had knowledge of Victoria, they would have stopper her. Isn’t that right, Jane?" Carlisle said.

"Of course." Jane answered then looked at one of her conrads to go over and kill her. As Jane orders the death of the newborn vampire girl, Esme spoke up. "She didn’t know what she was doing. We’ll take responsibility for her."

"Give her a chance." The doc had said.

"The Volturi don’t give second chances. Keep that in mind, Caius will be interested to know that she’s still human." Jane said looking at Bella.

"The date is set." Bella had said.

When Bella had said that, making Heather turn to look at her best friend. Forgetting that she was supposed to be turned into a vampire soon.

"Take care of that, Felix. I’d like to go home." Jane had told her conrad.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The poor girl screams when Felix gets hold of the young female vampire and kills her.

"Just be this lucky that my sister is having a good day." Alec had said to them.

"Ah yes," Jane said then looked over at Heather and the brothers. "I do see you have 3 extra members to the family. One doesn't look to fond as to what just happened."

"She's fine." Damon had said.

"Pity," Jane said. "She doesn't smell normal, just wait til Aro hears and sees of this." She had said then they walk away.

As they walked away, Heather almost fainted to the ground but thanks to the brothers they had her.

"Let's get her home and you over to Billy's." Stefan had spoke.

"Yes, I'll meet y'all there." Carlisle had said.

They nodded then went their ways.

Well then, sorry if this took awhile to be updated. I kinda been busy with work and my original pieces. I've put all fan fiction on hold for the time being, getting to it as I can when I can. Now its off to The Vampire Diaries. Putting off Twilight some. Since mostly half this book was more of Twilight then TVD.

Just can't wait for The Breaking Dawn parts though, to see how Heather, the brothers, Elena and some of their friends work with that.
