I saw you and the kiddos today. I was out clothes shopping with my nurse, it seems I’ve lost a bit of weight here recently and needed new clothes. You didn’t recognize me, but that’s OK. Your children are beautiful. You looked frazzled today, clothes shopping with those two. I know how hectic back to school shopping can be. Why I remember one year my son wanted nothing but superheroes on every piece of clothing he owned, and every item he took to school with him.
You didn’t look too good today; I hope you’re feeling well. You looked a little pale and clammy. I hope you’re taking care of yourself. No household can run without a matriarch. We’re the backbone of a family sweetie.
The young lady that was with me, her name is Gretchen. She’s a sweet young thing, very naïve though. I don’t really like her boyfriend from the stories she’s told me. I keep telling her that one day she’ll find real love. I hope that you’ve found real love, deary.
I hope your children like the school they’re going to this year. It’s been updated quite a bit since my son graduated. I will let Mrs. B know how to give them a warm welcome on the bus on their first day, if you decide to have them on the bus. Well, I’m feeling a bit productive now, so I’m going to start sewing a few pieces. I’ll write you another letter soon deary.
Sincerely,
Gertrude Reynolds
