Chapter 27: Saving Lucia and Preparing for Danger

Alpha Delano's pov

Moving into the slave quarters, my eyes scanning everywhere to find her.

"Alpha Delano!" I heard my name faintly from her and my eyes quickly turned to the playground.

There were guards surrounding and beating her. The one with the flogger was about to land a lash on her when i teleported to meet him immediately.

Anger surged within me, i held him by the thtroat, yanking him up, tightening my fist on him and slamming him to the ground immediately.

The other guards standing around gasped. They started moving back with a confused face. Of course they weren't able to see me. But they knew they have met their doom.

They dropped all the instruments on the ground and started escaping.

Ahh! They wanted to escape drom me? No way.

I started igniting the earth, taking my hands up, brewing lots of stones from the ground, and distributing them to each of the guards.

Mind you, there were other slaves watching too, these ones started getting afraid because they couldn't understand where the person fighting them was. Some started picking their heels and running off like i was chasing them.

Still shooting lots of stones at the running guards, my side eyes were on Lucia as she was still tie to the large stone. There were blood all over her body, from her back down to her toes, she had blood.

I hurried up. The men were on the ground now, struggling to get up and with a full force, i swirl my hands through the air and igniting lots to tension within, then i released it to them, hitting them to the ground at once.

Some lost consciousness while some died instantly.

Wrapping everything up, i walked to Lucia, although she wasn't able to see me and healed her wounds, all of them together.

Seems like her wolf hasn't fully awakened yet so I'd helped her do that. When i was done, i let her be.

Didn't loose nor straighten her up. She was already unconscious so maybe, others can help her further after this.

I teleported back to my chambers, entering into the bathroom at once to freshen up.

After Freshening up in the bathroom, i put my normal pants and cloak with a pair of flip-flops. It's a hot sunny afternoon, so no need to be overly fashionable.

Sitting on my table again, my mind quickly drifted to the letter which i received thie morning from the guard. That letter is from someone i know but who can that be?

My step brother Darius, travelled for a very long time and he once said he isn't interested in anything politics or sirt of. He never wants any position and all he wanted was just to learn his martial arts and be the best in his field.

When he was travelling, although we weren't on good terms but i gave him a hug and bidded goodbye to him. He even trusted me to say i should help him look after his momma.

I was shocked and nodded with a smile. So i do not think this letter is coming from someone like him. Its obvious he doesn't want any trouble.

So this can't be his him at all. I just don't know what to do at this point. Or should i ask Luke?

"Guards!!" I yelled and one rushed in immediately.

"Get me Luke now!"

"Ok sir."

He goes out and comes back in few minutes time with Luke, my beta.

"I got a message today. Have a seat." I said to him.

"It was from an unknown person, but got so angry and shredded the paper to pieces."

His face scrunched up a bit, "Yes. I did tear it. But i can narrate what was written on it."

"It says: I am your invisible friend who jist returned from my trip and I will be visiting you soon to claim what's rightfully mine. You better be prepared for it. Its not gonna be easy."

This was what was written on the sheet. How do you see it".

He clenched his hands on his chin, thinking about what i said.

"He said he would be visiting you soon?" He asked.

"Absolutely. Thats what i find strange." I retorted.

"So… maybe we should wait and see if he would come lile he claimed because if he really meant what he was saying that means he wouldn't jist hid and attack you. He would do it like he had spoken."

"Hmmm. What of the part he said, we should be prepared for it? I think he would take us unaware prior to the time he would arrive at the scene." I interjected.

Luke nodded. "Sure. Yeah. You're right Alpha Delano. I think so too. What do you suggest we do to stop this or get prepared for this unforseen threats?"

"That's what i do not really know. I am confused but I know for sure, no one comes here and messes up. The moment they try it, they are gone. I will personally kill and crush their bones with my bare hands."

"That's nice Aloha Delano."

"Inform the guards about this and tell them to always stay alert for any situations that arise. Now, we must stay firm and safeguard ourselves and the entire pack as a whole.

Tell the announcer to go riund the pack tomorrow, telling everyone to return to his or her houses before 9pm at night. The pack's main entrance should be lovked before 9pm daily too. Understood?"

He bowed, "Yes sir, i will."

Then he turned and made his way to the door, exiting out of it.

We would need to upgrade the security of this pack soon. I can sense danger lurking around, waiting for the perfect time to strike.

Heaving a deep sigh and transferring to my bed, slumping into it at once, a knock on my door, made me jolt up again

"Who's there? " I questioned while hoping to get an answer immediately.
