I snapped my head over my shoulder before rising. Arthur truly looked like what Eve had described him as. The moment he got to where I stood, his gaze softened as he wrapped me around his arm.
He pulled away, giving me a smile. “How did you find me here?” I asked, searching his eyes.
“Jackson told me,” he replied, placing a kiss on my forehead.
“I frighten you, don’t I, Arthur?” Dexter’s voice cut through the ambiance.
