Arthur's POV
I rubbed my temples, staring down at my phone screen for any good news, but there was nothing. Jackson was now on his computer trying to find access into Sierra's phone.
Dad was on the phone with the cops, and Mum... she looked exhausted. She stepped down from stairs, heaving a sigh. “I finally got him to sleep,” she said, plopping on the couch.
I felt disappointed in myself. It was past midnight now with no positive news. My promise to Elvis was a failed cause now. “Don't pull yourself down,” Mum told me.
I could only nod. “Any news from your father's team?” she asked.
Even though he chose to keep what he wanted from me as a repayment for his help secret, I still took it. Whatever I needed to find Sierra had to be done, even though it would hurt me.
