Neurotypical = Neurologically Typical = People who do not have neurological problems. Some people will say ‘normal’ people, but that’s not fair, as that would imply that others are ‘abnormal’ or ‘wrong’. Neurotypical simply means that a person has no neurological issues which would complicate their lives, like ADHD, autism or learning problems, it doesn’t mean they don’t struggle with other things.
When I went outside during the break this afternoon, hoping to see Amber again for a moment, she wasn’t there. I found Luuk on his own, no Amber in sight. Apparently, she’d already gone home because she wasn’t feeling too well. I would have loved to talk to her, but that wasn’t going to happen. I hope that her not feeling well wasn’t just an excuse not to see me again, I really do hope
