Chapter 5 Fiona watched him go into the bathroom. She didn’t know what to do with herself. It was late and it had been a long day. Although she should be tired, she wasn’t. But she didn’t have anything to work on. She walked downstairs and grabbed a beer from the fridge and checked out the living room. Connor had cans of paint sitting on the floor and tarps rolled up in the corner. Maybe he was finally going to do something with the room. She set her bottle down. The lid on the first can read “living room,” so she pried it open. A pool of lush forest-green paint. Using a stick, she stirred the paint before dipping her fingers in. She swiped her fingers across the wall. Not a bad color choice. She replaced the lid and picked up her beer. “Fiona?” Connor’s voice carried from upstairs. “
