Epilogue
A year later…
Adrian grabbed Lorcan’s hand and stopped their approach. In front of them was an old cottage style house mostly hidden behind overgrown trees and bushes. Adrian had fallen in love with it the moment he’d seen the picture outside the real estate office.
He curled his fingers around the key in his hand. They’d signed the papers earlier in the day, and the house was theirs. In the backyard, there was a large greenhouse with mostly cracked windowpanes and a kitchen garden from the Victorian era. Adrian loved caring for the flowers on his balcony, but tending to an entire garden would be a challenge. He couldn’t wait to get started. Luckily, he had a few months before the gardening season began so he could make plans.
